Server Utilities :: ORA-01466 - Unable To Read Data - Table Definition Has Changed
Apr 2, 2013
My job is running at 2 am and that time no application user is connected. Even though, my exp utility shows error on 3 tables (2 are temp tables), everyday. But when expdp is running without error, which was scheduled at 4 am.
Below are the error -

ORA-01466: unable to read data - table definition has changed
I have database A (Working in Live environment) and Database B copy of Database (Not live) I have Restored whole database (A) RMAN backup file on Database (B) Previous week now i don't want to change anything in any schema and want to import only updated and new records in the table in Database B
There are around 20 schema If for example i have everything in new database B all required database objects like Procedure,functions, packages with indexes in all tables and data in tables, i just want to add new data and updated data.
I'm getting an error when trying to use the new Data Pump Export/Import utility.
I am able to create a directory using SQLPLus, and I get the "Directory Created" message, but no directory actually gets created on the server.
SQL> CREATE DIRECTORY datapump AS 'C:Inetpubdatafiledatapump';
Directory created. But I dont see the directory created on the server.
Then on the server:

I would like to know if 'user creation definition' is exported in user mode export if export is done with DBA role..If it is Not, does it mean we always need to precreate the user before we import the dump created using 'user mode export'?
I have a database in access 2003 with the empno,empname and photo (bounded image). Using queries and an ODBC connection I have inserted the table into Oracle 8i (8.1.7). When I try to read the data using reports I get 'REP-1818 Unable to read data in image format.' error for the photo field.
Actually I have done some search but with no result. I have to check the oracle DMP file which is being sent through the EXP utility from oracle and have to search for a pattern in the file. If the pattern in found then send a mail.
I have tried using the GREP on the DMP and SED but as the lines are longer than expected these are not providing desired results.
We are using sqlldr query to load data into a table. This is handled in a java code. We are uploading an xls file which gets converted into csv and then the sqlloader call works, which in turn creates a bad and log file for error messages.
But I am not able to locate the bad file(in filesystem) within java code.
Below piece of used.
File file =new File(destfilePath); if(file.exists()){ FileReader fr = new FileReader(file); LineNumberReader lnr = new LineNumberReader(fr); linenumber=0;
[code]....
The above code is able to locate CSV ,but not the bad file(whereas both files created in same path).
I have a requirement to import text files which are generated from 3d modelling software xsteel where it records all geometric information and i want to import this information into oracle table.
Quote:Oracle collects new statistics when enough of the data (about 10%) has changed.I read the above statement in the oracle documentation that Oracle collects new statistics when enough of the data (about 10%) has changed every day during 10 pm to 6am .
But still i see some object statistics are stale and empty.Do i need to collect statistics for these objects manually ? and would like to know why these objects statistics were not collected during maintenance window ?
I want to export all db using data pump. I got this error when using it:

I'm not sure if this is so much a SQL Loader problem as it is a database understanding problem, but here it is. I am having trouble loading data into a table (using SQL Loader) due to the fact that I am trying to load data row by row, into corresponding columns.
TestFile.csv
testvalue1, 123445 testvalue2, test testvalue3, 455321 testvalue4, 65742 testvalue5, 5719
So, using the above data, I am trying to load the value for 'testvalue1' into a column defined as 'testvalue1'; the value for 'testvalue2' into a column defined as 'testvalue2' and so on. From my understanding, SQL loader loads by column not by row, so I am not even sure if this is possible.
How to load the CLOB data into table..in the attached file 18 column has clob data it's appear like new line..Using external table how to load. i tried it's not working..
I'm trying to do a network datapump between oracle databases, and it seems to continually hang when it gets to the point where it should be processing table data.

I'm trying to load data into a table using SQL Loader but getting a failure error below.

I was running IMPDP for my company's database.Everything is just fine except one problem.A big table(61.1G) could't be imported.The warning message shows "imported TBL_XXXX 61.1G 0 out of 147653981rows".The alert log had no warning message.I didn't know
i take export of one table (export complet successfully without warnings) when i am going to import into prduction databae the data in the table no coming i past the table structure and import command and logfile for import.

i created the External Table using the script below.

My requirement is to to truncate the table and load it with the data present in file. In the control file, I used the "TRUNCATE" command as well.In case, if the file has some invalid data and sqlldr fails, my existing data will be lost. Is there any option in which the sqlldr does not TRUNCATE the table in case of a failure.
i want to export excel sheet in database table, so i have converted excel file in .csv file(comma delimated)and made control file, then i started sqlldr by double clicking on it. path is-D:oracleproduct10.2.0client_1BIN
i run this command from cmd-

and i attached the .ctl file. and .csv file is stored on same directory as .ctl file, why oracle couldn't find the .ctl file.
While importing dump to the new database, error occurred. Below are the errors -

and i have data in a file like below
Person Jan Feb Mar Apr Mai Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dez -------------------------------------------------------- Schnyder,345,223,122,345,324,244,123,123,345,121,345,197 Weber,234,234,123,457,456,287,234,123,678,656,341,567 Keller,596,276,347,134,743,545,216,456,124,753,346,456 Meyer,987,345,645,567,834,567,789,234,678,973,456,125 Holzer,509,154,876,347,146,788,174,986,568,246,324,987 Müller,456,125,678,235,878,237,567,237,788,237,324,778 Binggeli,487,347,458,347,235,864,689,235,764,964,624,347 Stoller,596,237,976,876,346,567,126,879,125,568,124,753 Marty,094,234,235,763,054,567,237,457,325,753,577,346 Studer,784,567,235,753,124,575,864,235,753,864,634,678

How to write control file to load this data into the above revenue table.
I have one requirement.i.e I want to display 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?[YES/NO]' message when record status is changed.In my form if i enter some value to the actual qty(db item) and press 'x' button it does't prompting 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?' message.
For displaying this message i have written following code in the APP_CUSTOM body:
IF (wnd = 'XXMZ_MRS_DET') THEN lv_wnd_stat := get_window_property('XXMZ_SUMMARY',VISIBLE); if lv_wnd_stat = 'TRUE' THEN IF :SYSTEM.form_status = 'CHANGED' THEN CLEAR_BLOCK(ASK_COMMIT); ELSE
[code]....
if i write above code in the app_custom body it's prompting the above message.But if i click 'YES' it does't save the records?
I have two tables of same structure i.e., DEV & HET.
I need to export from DEV and import into HET, I am using REMAP_TABLE while IMPDP, but data is getting inserted into DEV itself. Below are the syntax for expdp and impdp
Export from Dev:
expdp sunnyworkspace/sunnyworkspace@orcl directory=REMAP_DATAPUMP version = 11.1.0.6.0 dumpfile=dev.dmp tables=sunnyworkspace.dev reuse_dumpfiles=y CONTENT=DATA_ONLY
