How To Find Time (timestamp) When Data File Status Changed To Recover
Sep 14, 2011Oracle Database Version : 9.2.0.8.0
Some of the datafiles status have been changed to 'RECOVER', because the datafiles are physically missing.
Now, how can i find that when (timestamp) the status of the datafiles have been changed, as i am unable to find when the datafiles have been physically lost?
Please consider both the case :
1) when the database is in ARCHIVELOG Mode.
2) when the database is in NOARCHIVELOG Mode.

Jun 2, 2010I have one requirement.i.e I want to display 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?[YES/NO]' message when record status is changed.In my form if i enter some value to the actual qty(db item) and press 'x' button it does't prompting 'Do you want to save the changes you have made?' message.
For displaying this message i have written following code in the APP_CUSTOM body:

Oct 10, 2013As all of you know, In the Apex, when you create a form with report in the page, you are able to insert and edit data. But when you edit the data, the data will be modified in the same row. In other word, you loose the old data.
What I need to do is: I have revised_num field and production_date field. I want to create a form with report and insert and edit data as is in the apex and insert 0 to the revised num until production date is null. But when production date is not null, then from that point, I want to insert data to another row and modify revised num to 1. and I want the revised num be incremented by 1 each time the user modifies the data after the production date is not null.I don't know where I should start.

Jul 18, 2013I have an APEX Page , page no1 for person's details that got fields like name, Date of Birth. When user enters the details, it get saved. Now when we want to edit a person's details, we click on that person then it goes to next page, where we can change/details of the person.But when i tried to do that, i am getting Not a valid month error.. log message shows that it is coming from : Automatic Row Processing (DML)- an after SUBMIT process. Is there a way to avoid this error?I changed date formats for several different ways.

Jul 2, 2011I am not able to login in the database with sys user. when i am trying with sqlplus "/as sysdba" it is showing
ERROR: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges.
& when i am trying with sqlplus sys as sysdba it is showing
ERROR:ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
I login with system user and changed the password of sys nd then tried login with sys but same result.
remote_login_passwordfile is set to NONE nd i am login through that user only by which i was always able to login.

Sep 24, 2013I have a log-in problem. I created the new database and when I try to log-in with system user, its giving ORA-01017: invalid username/password; log-in denied, and when I try to log-in with "/ as sysdba" its successfully logged in.
When I try to change SYSTEM user password, I successful change and connecting and after few seconds when I try to connect its again giving same error "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; log-in denied
And I disable the case sensitive password also:

I looked on every object reference in the MV, all permissions - can't find anything.I dropped MVs and created them no errors. Status changed to VALID. where :as_userid is an argument passed to the SQL.
Here are some background facts in order to save time regarding actions already taken:
(1) The userid used to login successfully is the same one passed to the above SQL;
(2) I have confirmed that the table does exist - we are using it in an application;
(3) The case of the table name is upper case as seen above and is correct;
(4) The spelling of the table name is correct;
(5) The schema name was prefixed to the table and I still got the same error (not shown above);
(6) The userid that I used is assigned to a role and the role has SELECT permissions to the above table.
