i have created a procedure to open a query using a reference sys_refcursor as output parameter. i referenced the cursor in a pl/sql and is working correctly. however it throws error "ORA-01001: invalid cursor ORA-01403: no data found" when use on the oracle forms builder.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Application is running on the unix server - user oracle. My DB is in different unix box. I had created the folder called OUT with the permission of 777 in DB server. I created ORacle Directory DMPDIR for that folder /OUT. and executed grant read/write to that schema.
1) when i use the below code in sqlplus its writing the file into that folder.

But, when the same piece of code is executed from the package ( which called from the application)its throwing the ORA-29283: invalid file operation.

I created 3 radio buttons and one list item. Different options will appear according to the radio button the user has clicked on. i've created 3 recordgroups and 3 LOV. the first two for seven_eleven and mannings work fine, but not for GNC. is it because there is only one option for list item in GNC? Must it be more than one? I've tried to another option as space but it still doesnt work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on a form, whose one block is query_find, so on clicking find button it will open another block.the find block contain 4 column and second block contain around 10 column.but the column present in find block are associated to standard tables and the column present in block-2 are from custom tables.there is a query which link those column.
I am not sure where to use that query, so that it will take input from the find block and then populate the result into the block-2.
When LOV is invoked, i want that my control/cursor should be in FIND text box (as default behavior).

As current situation, we have one form which contains the database blocks. As per search condition, all the data populated in Database block, there are 1000 and more records. Now user going use any of key (i.e. key-up, key-down, key-page-up and key-page-down) as he pressed key ( say Key- down) it scrolled down but as soon as he release the key, the event is not stopped. its going on going down then stop.
Is it possible, as user release the key scrolling will stopped at same time ?
Actually what happens is that we are connected to oracle through forms 6i. suddenly we receive the error " ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called "
while doing some transaction. we have searched on net and meta link. they say that the package / procedure called has become invalid or recompilation has occurred and that is not compatible. Now we have monitored carefully that there are no changes what so ever has been made in the the package/ procedure.
what could be the reason behind this. we have also checked the global variable issue. we use package level variables but declared in the package body only. (so these are not public)
i have form have one multi record block and sing record block. In multi record block having an item namely Excise_value. I want to find the sum of total Excise_Value for all the record. How to accomplish this.

I am working on form builder 6i.I have FIND widnows and MAIN window.
FIND Window: contains field1 and field2, FIND Button.
block A: Multi record data block on table t1. It contains field1,field2,field3.
block B: non datablock, it contains field4, field5.
If i enter something and click FIND button, it will populate data in Block A.If i put the cursor in any record in block A, and after that put the cursor in Block B, it will populate block B related to Block A record.For this, In Block A--> post record(block level) trigger, i am capturing values in variables.
