and so on.... Till writing this, i could find 21 such tables.

Jan 5, 2011I am running the stand alone pl/sql block. it opens the for cursor and the updating the table. select value in the cursor having 3 lack records. the server output is returning junk values. Why i am getting this junk value here.

UTF-8 - Junk Characters Are Coming For Japanese Chars?
Aug 25, 2013We have to get some data from U98 (saixdbU98) in UTF-8 format in Excel sheet.We are having queries ready for this. These queries bring data which have Japanese characters.
But when we run the Select queries through pbrun (Power Broker) then in result Japanese chars are garbled. It comes in what process we have to follow to get the result in UTF-8 format in Excel sheet.

Actually the value of the segment1 should be 9. But it has some junk characters and some extra characters.So I am using the following query to get all the error segment values.

May 18, 2011I have to cleanup data from our tables (Production Environment) that contain millions of rows. The question is apart from the solution of the partitioned tables what alternative recommended solution suggests Oracle?
To delete these tables by using a cursor PL/SQL block or to import all the database and in the tables that we want to remove the old rows to use the QUERY option of the data pump utility.
I have used both ways and i have to admit that datapump solution is much much faster than the deletion that suffers from I/O disk.The question again is which method from these two is more reliable and less risky for the health of the database.

Sep 3, 2012I came across an implementation where data from DB2 tables are moved to Oracle tables, for BI solutioning, using some oracle procedures called from MS SQL DTS packages which are scheduled jobs.Just being curious, can this be done using OWB or ODI rather than the above detour. I suppose there are some changes being done in those procedures before the data is being loaded into Oracle tables, can't this be done using OWB/ODI? Can it be scheduled too as jobs using OWB/ODI?

Sqlnet.ora Not Found For Oracle11g
May 2, 2013Actually I have to modify set SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT,TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT in SQL net .ora . But I cant fine that file in $ORACLE_ HOME /network/admin directory.
But I found this other files like listener.ora and tnsname.ora in the same directory.
When I give sho parameter nalue in listener prompt it shows some values. Is it showing default values without sqlnet file (is it fauture of Oracle11g).

The first select statement is getting failed even though there is the value coming for :NEW.wip_entity_id and when we execute the query separately in database with the :NEW.WIP_ENTITY_ID, its getting the value. Apr 16, 2012I'm new to oracle and solaris.got a dmp file that I need to restore from. I've managed to successfully restore it in windows but not in solaris. the following command:
$impdp SCHEMAS=<schema> DUMPFILE=<dumpfile> LOGFILE=<logfile>
I got the following error:
SCHEMAS=<schema>: not found
Basically anything after $impdp is always not found. Is there any problem during setup?
