I creating a report in excel format...But there is one problem which i shown in colour when excel created.... i dont know why this problem come..Here i m attched my .fmb file and excel sheet [When i run my form].....
My Code is : When Excel Button pressed PROCEDURE EXCEL_P IS cursor c1 is select distinct BPT_DOC_DT BNP_REF_DT, BPT_DOC_NO BNP_REF_NO, BPT_VEN_NM Vendor_Name, BPT_BIL_NO Bill_No, BPT_BIL_DT Bill_Date ,
At the moment we have 10 apps using forms and about 6 of them using reports. All the reports get run from the forms. We are upgrading forms and reports from 10g to 11g and the dev teams are not willing to recode the forms to pick up ENVID's etc. i have 1 reports server running and have configured to run one of the apps reports but my question is how do i get the other apps to run under that report server, can this be done.I have thought about creating a report sever for each app but not sure if this is best practice and a bit over kill.Would i be wrong to create a report server for each app.
and we click on create summary folders we got this error Summary management not available because : this user has no privilige or quota to create materialized view in the current schema External summary registeration not available because : this user has no privilige or quota to create materialized view in the current schema
I have a report with 2 groups Gheader and Glines.The report looks at PO headers and lines. I want to create a data link from the the 2 queries based on the line id in po_lines_all.However I only want to select this in the lines query so I do not get repeating records at the header query.
I would like to know how can i add a column in existing report. I try to change SQL by doing this it does add that new column into group but when i try to run report i can not see that changes . then i try to do some changes in paper layout but i am not able to bring the changes in out put. i am new to this FORMS Reports . do i have to create a group again i am how can i change the layout in that report.
In the parameter form in my report I want to give user the facility of browsing the location where he/she wants to store the report. how can I accomodate the same?
I am adding a parameter to the parameter form of existing reports based on a select statement and has two columns. That part is fine. However, Oracle reports is adding a dash between the two values. Still fine, but I am also adding a UNION with ALL in case the user wants to run the report for all values. In the Parameter form it looks like this:
ALL - RBC - 111 RRG - 234 TEB - 445
How do I get rid of the dash for "ALL" since I did not physically add it? Below is my select statement for the parameter I created:
SELECT code, code_num FROM codes WHERE code_num <> 0 UNION SELECT 'ALL', ' ' FROM dual ORDER BY 1;
i am facing another problem with 11g database. i am using 6i forms and reports and recently shifted database to 11g 64 bit version. as its 6i forms so i use run_product to call reports. suppose my code for runproduct is in a button, once i press the button to get the print i am getting the logon_screen. if i enter login data again its giving the report.
I am trying to select multiple values from a parameter form based on a select statement.
I created the parameter and write the select statement under list-of-value property However what I want is to let users choose multiple values from the select statement not only one value.
I have developed report in reports9i and executing this report at application server but the parameter form is not displaying as its displayed in report builder.
parameter form isn't in descriptive format like you can check the department field. how to create parameter form in descriptive format or I am doing any mistake?
I am calling a report from Form 6i by using RUN_PRODUCT.After pressing the call button from Form 6i, report is showing box for enterning user id and password.
if i have two reports one of them is that you enter the office name and it will show you list of employee. the second one i want to show the information that is related to that employee by putting beside each employee button that if pressed i will go to other report that show me information about that employee.How i could link the two form and pass the employee name to the next form

I am working on Oracle reports 6i. Just for R&D purpose I have opened REP file in notepad. In the notepad file I could find the queries which are there in the data model.
I did a small addition to the query and saved it in the same location. I tried to open the modified REP file from RWRUN60, but it is throwing me error saying "REP-0110- Unable to open file".
Original Query in data model: SELECT empno, sal, job, hiredate FROM emp;
Modified Query: SELECT empno, sal, job, hiredate FROM emp WHERE deptno in (10,30);
We are using APPS 11i, Yesterday some Report are end with Error. Error Details Given Below.
X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 15 (X_QueryTree) Resource id in failed request: 0x2600001 Serial number of failed request: 614 Current serial number in output stream: 614
I am doing report migration from 10g report to 11g version 11gR2(11.1.2.0.0). It is not converting into REP when I check the logs . I got compilation error, then I convert 10g RDF to 11g RDF and try to compile it in 11g report builder developer tool, It is giving me compilation error.
It is not allowing me any sql in that proc but if i comment it it get successfully compiled and if the same report i open with oracle report 10g it get successfully compile.
Command using for Conversion: rwconverter userid=<schema_name>/<schema_name>@tns batch=yes source=<source RDF path> stype=rdffile DTYPE=REPFILE dest =<Dest RDF/REP Path> OVERWRITE=yes
I have a report that runs fine if I run it from the developer whether to preview or to file. The users are running this report from an Oracle Forms app and have a drop down for the destination format. If they run it to PDF for example, the report runs fine. If they run it to TXT132, TXT180, or TXT they get a "REP-1219 'FIELD_NAME' has no size -- length or width is zero".
Of course I am unable to get into the test application right now and as I mentioned above, I am unable to duplicate the error when I run the report from the developer. I am not sure why I would get a REP-1219 only when running to a Text file.
I am running a report thru form....While i individually run my rdf file it will run successfully with data.When i tried same rdf by using form , it will run but without data..thats why i check PARAFORM ='YES' but all parameter goes perfectly...
I'm working on a report (written with Oracle report builder 6i) for the SMS system.I want the the report results (list of mobile numbers) to be outputted directly into a text file.I have accomplished that with the following parameters:
DESTYPE = File DESNAME = C:file_name MODE = character
this work well for the first time but in the subsequent runs, the report rewrite the same file deleting the result from the run before.can I manage to have each run result written in separate file with the name formatted in specific way like (sms_parametervalue_date) or something. or at least is it possible to change the system parameter DESNAME via user parameter at runtime, so I can input the new file name into the parameter form.
