I have an alerts system for a web site built in an Oracle DB. There are multiple alerts that can be assigned per page, but I want to display only the most recent. I have 5 pages but each page can have different alerts.
I have a parent table of all the alerts and a child table with the page assignments. I want to pull one record (the newest) for each page assignment. The pages can increase so I can't hardcode this.
I keep thinking I need to do something like:
SELECTalertID, headline
FROMalerts_V
WHEREalertID IN (
SELECTdeptID
FROMso_departments
)
But it's obviously not quite what I need and not the correct syntax.
display value from login page to call another form first time value is appear when I enter new 2nd record that the time call value disappear.I means user name fix it when i create new record.
this is my code for pre-insert trigger block level
We are running Oracle 10g. I need to pull the DDL information from our Oracle tables. The following SQL statement returns the result as a "HUGECLOB". Is there a way to convert the result to text in varchar2 data type? Since tables being processed have numerous partitions, the DDL information for them is quite large, therefore, using substring would not be a viable alternative.
[code]select DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TABLE','EMPLOYEE') from DUAL; [/code]
When i create report in master detail. When detail record end on the page, the second record show on same page. Problem is that detail show on other page. I want that if record is completed on that page then ok. Otherwise it show on next page.
I want to show 1 record per page in matrix report. I set Main section orientation as landscape and width is 14. but it show multiple records on single page.
I developed a report in 10g which displays more than 100 records. The requirement is to display each record on single page.Does Oracle Reports have the option to display each on single page?
SELECT customers.custid AS CUSTID, customers.memberid AS MEMBERID, customers.bname AS BNAME, drpepper_rebate.drpepid AS DRPEPID, drpepper_rebate.totalcarb AS TOTALCARB, drpepper_rebate.totalncb AS TOTALNCB,
[code]....
I have more then 700 customer records in the Customers table, but so far I can only pull 500 records.
Reason I am trying to pull all the records from the customer table is because I want to find out who is missing cokeid and Drpepid.
I am trying to insert data from tables that I build from a stage table. I have pasted my package body code below and error message.
create or replace PACKAGE BODY etl_contact_sales IS PROCEDURE insert_contact_sales IS start_dt DATE := sysdate; v_error_message varchar2(150); v_error_block varchar2(30); v_exception exception; v_process_name varchar2(30); [code]...
We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.
I am new to APEX and I am developing an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a page (8) that has text items for the username and the database name. I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
All the reports are skipping one extra page after printing of last page irrespective of number of pages in the report. if same report file is generated and given to printer using dos or linex dosen't skips extra page at end. It happens only if i print the report through ORARRP. The report file extension is '.rrpt'.
I have different public page (page1) and different page for authorized user(page5).Upon successful login after process validation ,computation it should navigate to authorized user page 5 but the branching does work it keeps on going to page 1 .
Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria. But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection
I am loading data file using SQL Loader in TOAD 10.5.1.3 in Oracle 10g using the control file below and loading data into 2 tables post1.thead and post1.tdetl. THEAD contains item level transaction and TDETL is detail level when a transaction has a discount or promo attached to for that item. When the
LOAD DATA APPEND INTO TABLE post1.thead WHEN (1:5) = 'THEAD' TRAILING NULLCOLS (file_type POSITION(1:5)CHAR,
[code]....
A particular THEAD value may have 0, 1 or many TDETL corresponding values.below is a sample data file. When the position 21 in the TTAIL has a value of 1 or 2, then we know that there is a promo or discount applicable to the ITEM (THEAD).
What I want to acheive is to accurately reflect a TDETL to its corresponding THEAD, as both THEAD and TDETL are loaded into separate tables. How can we have the 2 records correlated?
I have a table which contains the multiple records for single ID No. Now i have to select single record which contains the latest date. here is the structure Name
Null Type ------ ---- ------------ ID_P NUMBER NAME_P VARCHAR2(12) DATE_P TIMESTAMP(6) Records---------------------1 loosi 22-AUG-13 01.27.48.000000000 PM1 nammi 26-AUG-13 01.28.10.000000000 PM2 kk 22-AUG-13 01.28.26.000000000 PM2 thej 26-AUG-13 01.28.42.000000000 PM
now i have to select below 2 rows how can write select qurie for this?
I have a fairly standard Purchase Order form which contains pre-loaded data (been uploaded from an XML file). When the Purchase Order is processed, the form updates a Price History table only if the Price on the PO_Details changes. The code for updating the price history table is contained in a PRE_UPDATE trigger on the PO_Details Data Block.
No other data changes on the PO_Details table.I now want to change this so that the Price History table is updated even if the price does not change i.e I want to create a history record for each record on the PO_Details irrespective of whether it was updated or not.
Is there an alternative trigger that I can move my code to (ie move it from PRE_UPDATE) to some other trigger that is fired for each PO_Details record even if there is no change.
I need to create a query that returns record by record a field qty_progr with the cumulate qty considering previous records. The result should be the following:
Using 11gR2, windows 7 client machine. I need to update the table missing_volume (below), where I need to calculate the estimated_missing column. The calculation of estimated_missing column for current month needs previous month numbers (as commented inside the code below). I want the output like the first table. Notice the records start from January, hence estimated_missing for January can't be calculated, but for the the rest of the months it can be done by simply changing 'yr' and 'mnth' (commented inside the code towards the end).
yr mnth location volume actual_missing expected_missing estimated_missing --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2013 January loc1 48037 24 57 2013 February loc1 47960 3660 53 24 2013 March loc1 55007 78 57 28 2013 April loc1 54345 72 58 77The code:
UPDATE missing_volume g
[Code]....
The code does calculate correct number for 'estimated_missing' as I run the code for each month, but the problem is while updating the current month it also erases the record for previous month. E.g. as can be seen below, after I updated April the column only has the record for April, previous month record is gone, similarly updating March removed February, etc. I can't understand why it's happening!! Here is the output I get:
yr mnth location volume actual_missing expected_missing estimated_missing --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2013 January loc1 48037 24 57 2013 February loc1 47960 3660 53 2013 March loc1 55007 78 57 2013 April loc1 54345 72 58 77
why it's happening (I mean where is the flaw in the code) and how to get the desired output (first table).
I have a question regarding the SQL statements embedded behind the Self Service Pages in Oracle Applications.
Taking an example of Oracle E-business Suite, Is there a way to check what SQL statement is hard coded or embedded in a particular required Self Service Page?
