I have got two tables emp_dtl and iou_tab. i have already made entries i.e booking no, emp_cd, emp_name etc in emp_dtl snc its my master table. I want to retrieve the booking nos through lov in iou_tab which are generated in emp_dtl and corresponding info of emp_cd and emp_name should come in the respected fields in iou_tab.

So I wrote the following procedure.

I'm using sql developer, stored procedure is compiled and I can manually run it by right clicking on the procedure and click 'Run'.
When I intend to run it by executing the script "Execute Procedure name ", I get errors.
In SQL Developer, I open new SQL file and key in
EXECUTE emp_test;
Highlight it and run the script, here is the list of errors that I get.

Issue 2:
Instead of using cursor, is there a way to use multiple parameters and insert the data retrieved from select column_name from table into these parameters and build it in a stored procedure. I tried something like below which did not work.

First data data block contains a list item and a text item based on the selection of the list item and the value in the text item i need to retrieve more than one row in another data block whose NUMBER OF RECORDS DISPLAYED property are set to 10.
I have a Button in the first data block. So in the WHEN BUTTON PRESSED trigger i wrote SELECT INTO clause which is raising "exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows".Then i used a cursor in the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger in the first block to fetch row by row and assign it to the items in second block. But i am able to retrieve only one record in the second block.
I have two blocks on which I am having relation based on booking number and employee code. As I am doing a query, booking number is getting fetched in employee code's field and employee code is getting fetched in booking number's feild. Because of this, I am not able to update the form. It is giving me error unable to update record unique contraint voilated for primary key which is quite obivious. But why the data could get shuffled in each others field though during inserting its going properly.

I am trying to retrieve images from the file system, but the open dialog box is not popping up for me to choose which file i want. It does nothing gives no error. Just says record 1/1 on the message bar at runtime.

I have a requirement to execute the query only once for all the columns mapped to a particular table. Lets take an example..
table t1 has the following columns mapping.
col1 col2 col3 col4
variable 1 table abc col1_abc ----

variable 4 table xyz col2_xyz ----
variable 5 table xyz col3_xyz ----
variable 6 table xyz col4_xyz ----
In col4 , we have to update the values of col3 (column) ... it is very easy to update the values by executing the query for each column but my requirement is ... I want to execute the query once for a table ( example select col1_abc,col2_abc from table_abc ... this will return always a single value after adding other conditions in where clause) and why I want to do this? .. because there can be multiple (might be 30 variables values)

Checking the total qty (Tot_Qty) from the purchase stock - table1 and already sold out qty (Sold_Qty) of the product from table2.
Consider the following values: Tot_Qty = 200; Sold_Qty = 50;
Now i create a first record of the form as follows: here on selecting the Product_name from LOV, will display the Selling_Qty item - which can be edited (Selling_Qty = Tot_Qty - Sold_Qty) and its price.

My prob is, when i am entering next record, it displays the same 150 as qty, which have to be 100. After selecting the product from LOV, it should calculate & validate as shown below: which means, previous record value of Selling_Qty also have to be subtracted and displayed.

Trying to translate FMB (Base Language-English Translation language-French) . Have followed all the steps as given in a metalink Note:70117.1
Create a project and module and add a version and add a translation and then export the strings to same fmb
As per the note I should see the french labels etc when I set the NLS_LANG as FRENCH_FRANCE.WE8ISO8859P1 and run the form But I still see the English labels.
What am I missing ,

I notified some strange behaviour of my forms debugger. When I insert debug.attach piece of code into ma form and fired them on Windows machine after inserting into Oracle forms builder debugger dialog box server name (usualy ip) and given port from oracle forms window then everything works fine, breakpoint is catched. But when I changed my OS to RedHat then I am not able to come into all kind of trigger form code. Only program units could be debugged.

The dll module that it seems to get stuck on is uiw60.dll. I have this file on my machine. I added the directory location to the FORMS60_PATH in the registry as it was missing but I am still crashing. The version of 6i I have is 6.0.8.11.3.
