CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE check_day

Problem 2: Write a procedure that calculates a factorial using a value provided by the user. Write an anonymous program unit that asks the user to enter a value and executes the procedure.
i want to create a form like a console with form builder 6i for databases monitoring. I have to connect to more than 10 databases and monitoring them at same time.
My question is, how can i create connection string for each one in form builder? after connect to per database i want to select some quires, for example
:
"select STATUS from v$instance;"
Attention: i don't want use db-link
I have a varchar2 column that contains something like this:
10100010
Each digit represents a flag that corresponds to a certain label:
1 - Bananas
0 - Oranges
1 - Apples
0 - Tomatos
0 - ..
0 - ..
1 - Kiwi
0 - Others
What I want to do is, translate '10100010' into the string '(Bananas,Apples,Kiwi)' using SQL-only. As a bonus it would be nice if the string is completely empty if all flags are '0', so no '()'.
I have created a list with name Test_List and 5 values in it.
I want to pass the values dynamically when i select the list values (any of the 5 values).
I tried:
For each list setting(List Details --> Static list entries --> Target) i have set the
Request as ?Test_List=#Test_List#
Note: Here Test_List is my list name.
Also i have tried
Request as ?Test_List=&Test_List.
But nothing seems to be working...
I am creating the Dynamic list but when i am compiling the form it gives the compilation error "No list elements defined for the list item".
I can eliminate it by entering the dummy list element but this dummy value will be displayed at form run time.

My client has asked me to provide production data from a xyz table into excel. The constrain for the same is that he needs the data for a particular month within a specific range of dates.
Is this possible using oracle utilities like SQL developer, plsqldeveloper or toad or any other. If yes i want to know if this is possible without using the same?
what are the ways provided by oracle for database migration, except datapump? and which one is recomended
View 1 Replies View RelatedA computation after submit pl/sql function process to trim off the first part of the string (CQ..) within the list manager values. Support for example the list manager contains values such as
CQ..SAMPLE1..TEST1CQ..SAMPLE2..TEST2CQ..SAMPLE1..TEST2
The computation process should trim off the first part(CQ..) and should return the list manager value as SAMPLE1..TEST1SAMPLE2..TEST2SAMPLE1..TEST2 Oracle APEX 4.0.2 is the version and Oracle 10g r2 is the database.

I am trying to ultimately as the title says separate a user input list into one column of entries. I am doing this through Cognos not a normal SQL editor which is what makes this a little harder to do. So far I have gotten that in general I can use the
SELECT 'First Entry' Asset FROM Dual Union
SELECT 'Second Entry' Asset FROM Dual Union
SELECT 'Third Entry' Asset FROM Dual
and this will give me 3 entries of data in one column. More can be added as long as the last statement doesn't have the union on it. So, the next step it would seem is to have a for loop combined with an if then or case statement that would find the number of entries and loop until we reach the number of entries and give me either SELECT 'First Entry' Asset FROM Dual Union or SELECT 'First Entry' Asset FROM Dual if we are on the last entry. I don't know the lingo to do this though. I have tried to get this to work with a simple test like cat, dog, horse, cow, pig, etc but it's frustrating that I can't get it to work. I can do all the individual steps I just can't seem to get it to work together. I have all the functions I need, I just need to the syntext to do a for loop along with an if then or case statement where the outcome is a valid select statement.

- i have created a login form in one canvas.
- also tree node Hierarchy form created on another canvas. now we want to login through login screen, after login only those forms should show in tree Hierarchy which users have rights. for this purpose we want to pass the parameter of userid before connecting to tree node form through the following query
SELECT COUNT (*)
INTO v_count
FROM usersinfo
WHERE usersname = :USERBLOCK.usernames AND passwords = :USERBLOCK.passwords ;
[code]...
Every thing is working but when we click on button in login form at that time parameter.p_userid will return null. because above code is define on button click in login screen, i cannot understand where i need to define the above code .

Any utility that will take in a string and then search through multiple Oracle Forms and Reports modules (.fmb, .rdf, .mmb, .plx, etc). simultaneously to find which modules have strings that match the search criteria ?
To do this on an individual form is easy enough using the Oracle Forms Developer editor however I have over 100 Forms and reports.
I would like need a utility that will search all Oracle Forms in a given directory without having to actually open a Form(s) in the Oracle Forms Developer editor and then report which Forms may contained the sought after string.
We have a requirement to create a file using UTL_FILE package. so we tried to generate the file in directory at UNIX level, for example "/tmp" which means when we executing the stored procedure which in turn calls UTL_FILE package and create a file say "a.txt". On checking the permission for "a.txt", it shows as follows
-rw-r----- oracle dba a.txt
this means read and write for oracle user, read for dba group and no permission for other user.
our requirement is to have the following privileges at UNIX level.
-rw-r--r-- oracle dba a.txt
Is it possible to do at oracle level since the file is owned by oracle user or at UNIX level (with out logging to oracle user)?
