Feb 28, 2011We have placed Stack canvas on tab canvas. The Stack canvas will be visible/Invisible based on some condition dynamically. The Issue is When you show the stack canvas by using Hide_View('Canvas') , the stack canvas is shown on all tab canvas instead of displaying in the first tab canvas.
How to over come this issue and can we place stack canvas on tab canvas?

Mar 30, 2010I want to create a tabular type form on a tab canvas.. but my fields are often out of the form range. i want to create a stack canvas on tab canvas but it say that stack canvas and tab canvas must be created within content canvas.
how can i manage it what can i do now. i also attached pic of my tab canvas. i show some fields on tab canvas and 3 more fields i inserted on this canvas. And i can't reduced the width of my fields.

Sep 7, 2012I would like to have a table in HTML region and to display in the table some Page Items from the page.
I got the code like this:

It shows the Page Item names as text, not the values. However this code without the table tags:

works and the Page Item values are displayed.
Is it possible to display the Page Item values in the HTML table at all or I have to use a different method of showing the values in a table? The above is only a snippet of the code. I need to display about 30 Page Items, formatted in a table with headings.
what kind of region is the best to be used or if I should only use some escape symbols in the table code.

Jan 3, 2013I have a page which, upon page load, some regions should be hidden. I've created a dynamic action which hides a couple regions (on page load), however I can see the regions for a moment as the page is loading, then disappear. Is there a way to ensure the regions are hidden when the page is rendered?
I've also tried using javascript, but I have the same issue (the regions are visible for a moment, then disappear).

Or is this not necessarily the case.I'm running a page over a slow connection, so the event (true action: execute JS) is being executed before the page is ready to handle the code. I would think this event should not run until the DOM is ready.
I have confirmed this by wrapping the code in document.ready, and it behaves as expected.

Aug 5, 2013Basically I have a report that as part of it's source sql takes in an element from a select list.
E.G. SELECT * FROM table_name WHERE table_column = : P1_SELECTLIST
This works fine when the user selects an option from the select list however the first time the page runs it always returns data not found. The options correctly appear in the select list as they should without any nulls although it seems the select list is still initializing as null. I have been told to try and add a computation before the header on the select list item, although I'm not sure if this would work/how to do this.?

1. I created a collection in a process to fire on page load

On my page i have a text field P1_text1 when i enter value into text field like ="sample data" i want this data loaded into my collection, so i created a button and added a process(on submit - before computations...) so it should insert into the collection when i click the button but no data is loaded, process:

which also works fine so far. That same problem I had before when I was using a dialog instead of the popup. - only showing after refreshing the page.
This certainly must have something to do with how JQM loads and renders the page (besides the APEX-job) - a rather basic issue. I have also tried different ways of calling the page, with no difference to that problem.
Application Express :: Prevent Interactive Report From Running Query On Initial Page Load?
Oct 1, 2012I am on APEX 4.1.1, db 11g and I have a report which is quite slow to retrieve results from its query. The page has some filter fields (e.g. store code, dept code) in addition to the generic search field.
When the user lands on this page (from a menu page), the query runs before the page displays and this typically takes 1-2 mins without any filters yet set. The usual browser loading indicators are not obvious to the user and they might not be aware that it is working on the request.
I want it so that it will only run the query AFTER allowing the user to get to the page, let the user fill in some filter criteria and then click on the GO button. Therefore the query will run after the page is submitted. When you hit the GO button on the interactive report, a nice rotating apex_loader.gif appears, making it obvious to the user that it is working on the request.
I would prefer NOT to create 2 pages, one for user filter, and a second for the actual report as I have many reports/inquiries which fit this category and I would prefer NOT to have to create pairs of pages for each.

Jun 15, 2012i'm using db and forms 10g. i want the output of the form to be embedded within a simple html page. lets say i want the html page to be divided into three frames. the uppermost horizontal frame will hold a banner (say). the left vertical frame will hold some advertisement (say).
(1) now the rest of the page will be covered by the third frame in which the fmx's will run.
(2) i want the login.fmx (startup form) to show up first instead of the servlet. infact the servlet should not show up at all.

I checked the property palette and the canvas is visible. There is also an other canvas right at the top of the form. How do I move the other canvas down if this is covering the toolbar canvas. How do i move the canvas down as it dosent show any X position in its property palette.
