i developed my system at my laptop and it works well...i installed a windows server 2008 at another pc (as a server for testing)..and i run the application on the other pc (windows server 2008) and it works well...
my Qs. is:
how can i run the application in other pc from my laptop...i make a configre on the other pc (as server pc), and i run the oc4j on it, the link is:[URL]...
but nothing happend (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage)...

I have deployed Oracle Forms6i Application on Web. Just added SSL to the Application server and works fine within the network. If accessed from outside the network getting the from-92050 error message.

Now im working on Oracle Forms 10G, and i do some simple modifications to the formsweb.cfg for using java instead jinit, this its useful if you need to run the application on another navigator different than IE. The problem its that i have updated the version of JRE i was working with 6u24, and updated to 6u25 IE cant do nothing with this and i cant deploy my working forms now because IE try to install the "plugin" and it fail.
I actually have an application running and configured for running on "production environment" this application run only on Opera navigator using this JRE.
So, its possible to tell Oracle Forms 10G that it must to run all forms on Opera when i deploy it, or there is some configuration file for do that?

We are running forms 11g ( 11.1.1.3) in our production environment and we are having strange issue when we are deploying the new version of fmx on fusion middleware server ( Windows 2008). After copying/replacing the new fmx we are still running the OLDER version of form. It's happening randomly on different servers.

I am trying to import a dump into my oracle 10.2.0.3.0 database on my win 7 professional laptop. The dump is exported from my win xp desktop pc running Oracle 10.2.0.1.0

I am getting the below error while deploying a workflow in Control Center.
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.sql.SQLException:
The file /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/bin/admin/rtrepos.properties cannot be accessed or has not been properly created on the server XXXXXX. If the file does not exist or if the database owner (normally user 'oracle') does not have the required file permissions or if the file has not been properly created then the file can be recreated by running the SQL*Plus script /u01/app/ oracle/ product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/ rtp/sql/ reset_ repository. sql (in a RAC environment the file must be manually copied to each server which is used for OWB). Otherwise if using a 10.2 database instance, then please run the SQL*Plus script /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/dbhome_1/owb/UnifiedRepos/reset_owbcc_home.sql.

I have u na forms developer application in 6.0 that generates a Word document. This application runs successfully on Windows XP operating system. We now have PC's new operating system Windows 7 and officce 2010. My procedure reads a specific route where a template in Word which is used to generate the document. In the user's PC application that does not generate the document even shows me an error message. But when I enter my network user with the user's PC and the document genre generates me perfectly. I checked if the user has access to the server path specifies where the template encuntra wish to open and if you have them.

I called an application from Oracle forms using: Client_Host('cmd /c START "" "\localPathmyApplication.exe"'); This works fine on local as well as server.
But when I use the same command to call the application directly from the MENU ITEM, it gives error alert: "WebUtil Error: oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found. WEBUTIL_HOST.Execute will not work."
I even tried using DDE.App_Begin(). This gives error: ORA-106561. How can I call any application (.exe) directly from the menu item on the server?

I'm getting trouble in getting the sum of all the product's prize present in the form fields of invoice form. For example, I user bought 2 products so I want to get there prize sum in the total box. I first want that I've QUANTITY, DISCOUNT and SELLING PRIZE.
If I multiply Quantity with Selling Prize then I gets the result in Product and Quantity Total Box. However, Now I want to add discount option in it. Means if user is providing 10% discount to his/her customer then Quantity * Selling Prize - Discount% becomes a result in product's solution final prize box.

Look...Now here..I've added 22 in quantity.. now if I'll insert 10% in discount then the total will comes in Amount Display Box.
I'm currently using this coding on on Prize Box..

Is there any way of allowing the some menu items to access by the users, not the whole menu. The problem is that in the system where I am working is that the users are on application level not on database level. If the users are on db level then by using roles and grants one can set privileges for each db user. Is there any way to block user from accessing some part of menu or from the forms itself?

i have problems to display icons in a task bar in an application that is being migrated from oracle 4.5 to 10g in windows xp.The task bar shows all the icons in the original aplication but when the application runs in 10g, just some of the icons are shown, not all of them.All the icons are in the same file direction "C:fileiconos" and they're all gif files.
I have added the file locatoin to the configuration of the registry.dat,forms, in the registry of the computer, in the orion and orion-web files and in the default file following advice given to other threads here but the problem stays in the application.I have added also the variables to the registry of the coputer for UI_ICON and UI_ICON_EXTENSION with their values.

my problem is this. I created the java classes using itext to create a document library. Rtf, or. Odt. I integrated classes in Oralce form and everything works. I created a file. Odt application server on a folder and now only remains for me to open the file. The roads are two:
1. Directly from the server, you can?
2. From the client using the API or openoffice launching the executable with cmd?
Oracle Forms is a command to transfer files on the client and run the executable swriter of openoffice?

I am using Developer 2000 Application with Oracle 9i DB(32-bit on Windows) at backend. Now I install a new server with 10g(64-bit on Linux) and load all the data into it. Some of the forms and reports are hanging while it runs against 9i well.
