Dec 12, 2010I've checked ALL the parameters. It seems to be OK.The db is running and OK.But when I try to configure the EM I get the following error Says that the databse instance is not available.But, tnsping works ok, and I can connect as sys without problems. the DB is OK.

Sep 15, 2011I'm trying to use 11gR2 Grid Control to manage several 10gR2 database targets. I'm unable to determine the correct mix of Adobe software plug-ins to use for displaying SQL execution plans in a more graphical style. My client OS is Windows 7 - I have tried to research plug-ins for Internet Explorer 8, I upgraded (and subsequently downgraded!) to IE 9; I installed Firefox 6.x, tried with Google Chrome and all with the same results.
I'm not seeing any relevant information from MyOracle support or on Google, but may not be asking the correct question. As far as I can determine, SVG 3.0 is needed, Adobe stopped development in 2009 and there is no variant available therefore for Windows 7.

I can access database with sql plus.When I try to access dbconsole with IE I get a certificate error (see uploaded picture),clicking "Laden dieser Webseite fortsetzen" has no effect. Disable Windows firewall does not change anything.
There are 2 further databases of same oracle version on this machine. They show the same problem with dbconsole.
I tried to add content of C: Oracleproduct11.2.0dbhome_2200864ORADB.it.ixsystems_CHAMPsysmanlog (for which i stopped service OracleDBConsoleCHAMP). But I can upload only one file, no ZIP.

Enterprise Manager :: Warning EM Won't Run After Default 64bit 11gR2 Install
Jul 8, 2011I've inherited a 10.2 instance here in Kuwait and I'm attempting to migrate to a brand new server; I downloaded and attempted to install 11gR2 (11.2.0.1.0) on my brand new HP clean and patched server running Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise.
I've tried clean install, re-install, install software first then database, install all together, a complete default install (other than putting the database on a different drive letter)... every time I get the same error-
Enterprise manager configuration succeeded with the following warning -
Error starting database control. Please execute the following command(s)
1) Set the environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME to database unique name
2) ...emctl start dbconsole
There is plenty about this on the internet, google, forums. Some suggest dropping and reconfig of EM; tried that. One error leads to another error and I think I'm getting close, then some other error, more obscure than the last. VERY FRUSTRATING!
- Is this distribution broken?
- Should I try the 32-bit or just install and run the 10.2 on my brand new 64-bit server (that kinda hurts my head but I bet it would work!)
I've tried numerous re-boots, several fresh clean installs (after using the Oracle uninstaller and cleaning out the registry and deleting old files), I've set every environmental variable that I can in the system variables section including ORACLE_HOSTNAME, ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_UNQNAME.
I've tried unlocking SYSTEM and SYSMAN user accounts, I've deconfig'd the EM and have recreated the repository, reconfig'd...
Database is installed and working find. SQL plus is working and fine. It's just EM that's broken and I... just... can't... fix... it.Web page for EM starts just fine... log in (oddly, won't let me log in as SYSDBA from the web) then throws this error:
Error Internal Error has occurred. Check the log file for details.
The log files are pages long and I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
- Install different distro (like the 32-bit 11g)
- Install 10.2 and get on with my life- maybe upgrade later
- Wait for a patch?

when i am giving scott the dba rights then it is connecting. but i cann't give dba rights to scott.so, how/what is the specific command to give permission scott for connecting to enter prise manager console.

Feb 2, 2010We have the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5. We recently upgraded our Databases from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and since then we are having this problem.
Whenever i click an Agent on the Grid Control it gives me this error: "Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring/adding targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms)."
I get the same error when i try to configure a host or a database.
Don't know what is wrong

I downloaded and installed [URL].I used the Database Configuration Assistant to create a database:
Template: Data Warehouse
Name/SID: database0
Password: password0
I then used the 'database0' Enterprise Manager:
Logged in as SYSTEM/password0 (Normal)
Import from Export Files
Entire Files
Host Credentials: myself (am Windows administrator)
All the rest defaults
The job appears to finish successfully.When I look at the schema (using razorsql), most tables seem to be there. However,a significant number are not. When I open data pump in a text editor, those missing tables are clearly there - definitions and data.When I look in the import.log, there are errors of the type:
error in creating database file '/db02/oradata/database0/stuff.dbf'
file create error, unable to create file
unable to open file
(OS 3) The system cannot find the path specified.
Failing sql is:
CREATE TABLESPACE "STUFF" DATAFILE '/db01/oradata/database0/stuff.dbf'
-- followed by the associated table creation errors.
So, does this mean that unix paths are hardcoded into the data pump, and is therefore incompatible with import into a Windows based system? Or are the paths symbolic, internal representations used by Oracle, and these errors are a symptom of an earlier, undisclosed problem?
The thing is, when I view the schema, the tablespace "STUFF" exists, just none of its tables.

Jul 1, 2010I have a problem with my DB agent. it doesn't upload data correctly, so I can't see updated information in first page of EM ( it doesn't show cpu usage, Active Sessions, Listener properties,...). when I checked the logs, I found that emagent.trc shows this error: "exceed max amount of upload data: 77 files, 52M, disabling collections warn : collector : disable collector"

Aug 8, 2012using SQLLDR: Looking for a control file solution to move past or bypass extra data fields which are not on destination table. Basically if you have 8 tab delimited fields(terminated by ' ') on a data record; but only need to load 5 of the values from the delimited record; is there a way to ignore/bypass the not needed data. Obviously, the answer would be to massage the data at the OS and removed the 3 unnecessary fields.
However my hands are tied by volume,time, and compliancy. I am familiar with using 'FILLER' for the reverse scenario; but not where you have more data available on the record then exists on the table.

Control files are fine, that are not restored.
RMAN> run

RMAN> recover database;
RMAN> alter database open;
Here my problem is it is restore complete data what ever i was having, but i don't was it, i has to restore up to specified time only.
