Server Utilities :: Multithreading Not Working With Direct Path Load

Output in the sqlldr log:-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path used: Direct
Insert option in effect for this table: APPEND
Trigger DEV."R_TM_BK_BORROWER" was disabled before the load.
DEV."R_TM_BK_BORROWER" was re-enabled.
The following index(es) on table "YO"."TM_BK_BORROWER" were processed:
index DEV.I_NK_TM_BK_BORR_1 loaded successfully with 1554238 keys
index DEV.I_NK_TM_BK_BORR_2 loaded successfully with 1554238 keys
index DEV.I_NK_TM_BK_BORR_3 loaded successfully with 1554238 keys
index DEV.I_NK_TM_BK_BORR_31 loaded successfully with 1554238 keys

Bind array size not used in direct path.
Column array rows : 5000
Stream buffer bytes: 256000
Read buffer bytes: 1048576

Total logical records skipped: 1

Total logical records rejected: 48
Total logical records discarded: 2
Total stream buffers loaded by SQL*Loader main thread: 7695
Total stream buffers loaded by SQL*Loader load thread: 0
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I still see in the sqlldr log that the stream buffers are laoded by main thread and load thread is still not being used. SQL*Loader load thread did not offload the SQL*Loader main thread. If the load thread takes care of the current stream buffers, then it allows the main thread to build the next stream buffer while the load thread loads the current stream on the server. We have a 24 CPU server.

I am using the following parameters set to true in the sqlldr:- parallel=true , multithreading=true , skip_index_maintenance=true in the sqlldr

SQL & PL/SQL :: Formatting The TEXT In Exported File?

Nov 15, 2011

How to make the multiple lines of character in single line. Below is the example where i am getting the value when we export the data from the database table.

----------------------
Welcome Aboard customer contact based on Account activation.

The current selection criteria for Welcome Aboard is based at the service level. Therefore, each time a customer connects a service, Welcome Aboard material is mailed to the customer. This is causing the following problems;

Customer complaints. If a service or a number of services are connected on a particular day, it will result in (ie except for some minor exclusions) a single Welcome Aboard pack being sent to each individual customer. As you can expect for corporate accounts, they receive a high volume of this material. Other problems occur when, service/s are deactivated and reactivated, each time a Welcome aboard pack will be distributed.

High costs to Telstra. Each MNET service connected may produce a Welcome aboard pack. This volume of material currently costs Telstra over $500,000 per quarter for Welcome Aboard alone.

here is what i want to the above data to export:

Application Express :: Direct File Upload From End User Machine To Sftp Server?

Sep 19, 2012

I want my application to provide an end-user with ability to upload the files from their machine to SFTP server directly. So far, I have managed to write the function which uses java source and allows to upload files from the database. It works just fine.

The function looks as follows:

FUNCTION SFTP_CMD (
V_USER IN VARCHAR2,
V_PASS IN VARCHAR2,
V_HOST IN VARCHAR2,

[code]..

where V_FILE_SRC represents location of the file to be uploaded. The thing is that the FILE BROWSE apex item does not allow to specify the file location, it identifies it somehow automatically, when you press the button 'Choose file'. The question is how can I catch file's path, so that I can pass it to V_FILE_SRC parameter in my function? Should I write my own plugin? or hack FILE BROWSE item? =)

another one is

Globalization :: Bad Character Set In Dump File?

Jul 23, 2013

IMPDP-ing a dump file that someone has handed me over into Oracle XE results in special characters, i.e. Umlauts, being messed up.

In a hex editor, the dump file shows  a) the token WE8MSWIN1252 near the beginning, but b) Umlauts obviously being encoded in DOS 850, for example "König" is encoded as 4b 94(!) 6e 69 67. Does this prove that the dump file is badly formatted and that I have to resign myself to the complicated approach mentioned at the end of [URL]...
