Connected to an idle instance. idle> startup ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters ORA-01565: error in identifying file '+DATA/DOISOAT/spfileDOISOAT.ora' ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file +DATA/DOISOAT/spfileDOISOAT.ora ORA-15077: could not locate ASM instance serving a required diskgroup idle> exit SP2-0042: unknown command "exit" - rest of line ignored. idle> exit Disconnected
First time, I tried to recreate spfile from pfile, however, it - the errors continued to occur. And I searched in metalink, so, I've got ID 387217.1. I've been beging followed:
1- Check the REQUIRED_RESOURCES was listed by crs_stat -p command, wasn't it? Then, the REQUIRED_RESOURCES did not contain anything
I am learning how to clone database using cold backup.
I have copied all datafile ,redofile and also created control file but I am getting error while inititialisation of my clone(CVM) instance.
SQL> startup nomount pfile=C:ORACLEPRODUCT10.1.0DB_1DATABASEINITCVM.ORA; LRM-00109: could not open parameter file 'C:ORACLEPRODUCT10.1.0DB_1DATABASE INITCVM.ORA' ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
but I have copied this file to C:ORACLEPRODUCT10.1.0DB_1DATABASE location but still giving me error.
I am trying to create standby database on second machine ie. not on my machine. For this i have made added the required parameters in the pfile of the primary database but when I am trying to startup the database using the new pfile I am receiving some errors.
SQL> shutdown immediate Database closed. Database dismounted. ORACLE instance shut down. SQL> startup nomount pfile='E:oracleproduct10.2.0db_1databaseinitden1.ora' LRM-00101: unknown parameter name 'L0G_ARCHIVE_DEST_2' ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters SQL>
I want the DB to startup with SPFILE at next login. So i fired the below command.
CREATE SPFILE='path/SPFILEPRAGAT.ORA' FROM PFILE='path/file.ora'.
But it shows the error as below:
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters ORA-27040: file create error, unable to create file OSD-04002: unable to open file O/S-Error: (os 123) The filename, directory name,or volume label syntax is incorrect.
CREATE TABLE t2 ( id NUMBER, ename2 VARCHAR2(20), sal2 NUMBER, job2 VARCHAR2(20), conid NUMBER
[Code]...
My requirement is like when I am calling the procedure P1 with some values then it should check the table "t2".And table "t2" is linking with table "t3".
So what ever the column "verify" is there, it should check the incoming values against it. If matches success otherwise reject it.Later the incoming values is stored different tables.I am doing it in the above way by hard coding some value.
BEGIN p1(1,'MILLER',500,'ADMIN'); --REJECT p1(1,'MILLER',5000,'ADMIN'); --ACCEPT P1(2,'MILLER',5000,'SALESMAN');--ACCEPT END;
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0 - 64bit Production PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production "CORE 11.1.0.6.0 Production"
I have a form which has few textboxes, and few dropdown, and 3 links. Data is entered in few boxes, and then when a link is clicked, it goes to another page, but i want to pass the text in the text boxes, and the selected value from the dropdown also, to be passed as parameters to this link... But since these values are not yet saved, its not getting passed.. like it is something like this in the address bar add_new_event?&event_ id= &event_ name= & event_dt=
I studied a document about lexical parameter in that it says "Lexical parameters are used to substitute multiple values at run time and are identified by a preceding '&'. Lexical s can consist of as little a one line where clause to an entire select statement"
Select * from emp, deptno &where.
and i know about substitution variables using & is this are same (lexical and substitution) or different.

While debugging an APEX 4.2 application today, I noticed a debug line DEPRECATED: public_check_authorizationwhen using APEX_UTIL.public_check_authorization in a before header PL/SQL process.
why this line appears? The documentation doesn't point out that this function is deprecated or is going to be this in the near future.
i try to startup a database, and get that obsolete/deprecated parameter specified(ORA-32004: obsolete and/or deprecated parameter(s) specified)so i try to reset the parameter, but it seems it is already reset(not in spfile), so maybe this is in memory. SO now i try to reset with scope = memory or both, it gives this error(ORA-32029: resetting with SCOPE=MEMORY or SCOPE=BOTH is currently not supported).
what to do, because now i cannot reset with scope = memory and in spfile it is not there but still it comes in deprecated parameter.
On my APEX page i have region which has sql query as source and it displays as HTML table the query result to the user.
I want to display addinonal column with a hyperlink inside, and that hyperlink would have CGI/URL-parameters which contains the other values of the HTML row.
So, let's say my APEX region queryes columns as "select c1, c2, c3, c4 ..." and displays out values "V1, V2, V3, V4" then i want to have addional output column with such hyperlink:
a href="f?p=100:7:13467554876288::NO::c1,c2,c3,c4:v1,v2,v3,v4">My link column with CGI-parameters</aHow can i create such hyperlink?
The overall idea is that the link would forward to a page which loads those values "v1,v2,v3,v4" into form fields and user can proceed from there.
i write a select statement in proc that contains 44 columns.
when i precompile it. it is showing the error: implicit conversion of string literal to "char *" is deprecated.when i compile the same select with 40 columns it is not showing any error.
but for more than 40 columns (41-44) it is showing the above error.
couple of questions about below parameters, do they measure single processor or avg usage across all processorss and cpus for example will i recieve alert if CPU system time goes above 95% for single processors? or not
CPU Idle Time (%) CPU System Time (%) CPU User Time (%)
I used Region, Process by to search the report which appears as shown above. Then I use Choose Auditors column to select my Auditor and copy paste it into the report under To be Audited By col. Is there a way to automate the process. I am here using a tabular form in APEX. My main aim is to assign auditors based on Region, not equal to Processed by.
As I am doing a outer join, if the resource is not available on a particular day the resource_id is coming as NULL as it is not available. Is there any way to populate this NULL resource_id with the original resource_id as the resource_id is same for all the result set.
My scenario is to insert values into 'out' column by comparing 's' and 'IP' columns of temp table. The exact situation is at first need to go to ip column, take a value and then go to source column and check for the same value of ip which is taken previously. Then after corresponding ip of that source column should be inserted back in previous source column.
The situation is marked clearly in file which i am attaching with '--' comments at respective places.I am also pasting the code which i tried out, unfortunately it is giving error as exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows since there are duplicates in the table.I tried it using nested for loops. Also implemented using rowid, but it didnt work.
fixing the errors or if there is any new logic that can be implemented.
DECLARE i_e NUMBER(10); BEGIN FOR cur_1 IN(SELECT IP from temp where IP IS NOT NULL) LOOP FOR cur_2 IN(SELECT IP from temp where s=cur_1.IP)
I am searching the simplest way for ad hoc MINUS.I do:
SELECT * FROM uam_rss_user_XXXXXXX WHERE host_name IN ('XXX0349', 'XXX0362', 'XXX0363', 'XXX0343', 'XXX0342', 'XXX0499', [code]....
and look in the table which values are missing (values that are in host_name IN but not in actual table).is there a simpler way for doing an ad hoc MINUS? I know to insert values in temp. Table. How are experienced Oracle pros doing this task?
From two given tables, how do you fetch the values from two columns using values from one column(get values from col.A if col.A is not null and get values from col.B if col.A is null)?
For diagnosing a performance issue related to a batch run, our application teams wants to know all session/system level parameter that affects SQL performance. I can't simply give an output of v$parameter.name and v$parameter.
value as there will lots of parameter not related SQL performance like
