Apex 4.2I have a page with a calendar on it. I have several issues with formatting the data within each cell. Currently, I use a substitution string to place the id in the calendar cell.
Clicking the id will link to another page. What I notice is that for each id on a calendar cell (or date), it lists them one under the other. Is there any way to list them side by side? Also, I need to make changes to the calendar cells. I would like to expand the width and the height, but am not sure where to do this.
I understand when I decrease the width or height of the paper layout, it may cause this error if any of the objects in my report may not fit in the new layout.
But for me this error occurs even when I increase the size of my report paper layout!
I have a tree region, surrounded by <div>, the height of which is set on page load by a dynamic action so that it is 200px smaller than the window.innerHeight. I have set overflow:auto in the style so that the full free can still be viewed. I now want a dynamic action which fires when the window is resized, which automatically adjusts the size of the region accordingly, so that the region always remains 200px smaller than the innerHeight of the window. I can get the dynamic action to fire by setting the event to resize, however it does not change the size of the region.
Its solved the problem by fixing the width of the column but the column is not showing the full data now. It is hiding most of its part to fit it in that column.
How to control the column width on an interactive report. I can force it by making the column header really long but that is a crazy solution. How can I get control over this? I have columns that contain memo entries and if I use the header memo the report has tall skinny columns which makes reading very difficult.
I have read the messages below about making a calendar but am still unsure of how to go about doing this. I have the STNDRD20.OLB file, but I don't know where to put it or what to do with it! What comes next?
I have a calendar region based on a simple query from a table which has date and name columns. The calendar type is monthly with 3 buttons - previous, today & next. It works perfectly.
I have added a date picker in a calendar region now. If i choose any date, the calendar month should be refreshed accordingly. Ie... by default it would show July 2012 month. When i choose the month as March 2012 in the date picker, it should show March month data.
I am using calendar to display some data but there seems to be some problem with the focus for current date. For instance : 25 Sep 2012 is today's date but the calendar focus somehow remains on 24th Sep 2012 and I am failing to understand where do I set this right. Few users see focus on correct date while few see it on previous date.
Also in another tab of the application I am using a Interactive report which displays data based on whatever calendar entries were made earlier. Here I have two regions Today and Tomorrow which pick the values from report and display them in respective region but here too Today(picks yesterday date) and Tomorrow(picks today) .
I am confused as to where to set this right because like I said few users (based in AU) are seeing this incorrect values while users located in another region see it correct.
I'm using one of the new Date/Time picker items in Apex 4.0.2. When the user clicks the Calendar image the Calendar is displayed with the current date and time. However I would like it to display by default the current date and a time of 1000hrs.
I have a calendar region using SkillBuilders plug-in. When click on an event, a modal page opens showing the event details and allowing the user to modify it. Recently, I enabled Session State Protection in my pages, so I changed my query in the calendar region to use the APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL function when generating the URL to edit the event. how to makea multiline label. I have couple of text fields and would like to have the label divided in two lines for each of them. I tried with new line character etc. however didn't succeed.
A page has a display-only text item that is populated when a rare exceptional condition arises. I'd like for the text to be colored red. While editing the item, in the Element region,
I populated the item "HTML Form Element Attributes" by selecting 'style="font-color:red"' from the drop-down list. When the text displays, however, the color is still the default black. What do I need to do to turn the text red?
Do we have measure with Oracle sequence width compare with column width.?

I actually have tried to read the Customizing Templates chapter of the Users Guide. According to that guide, the following substitution strings are supported in the the Error Template Control section of page templates.
#MESSAGE# and #ADDITIONAL_INFO# - Places the error message. #TECHNICAL_INFO# - Displays detailed internal error information which will just be visible for developers. #BACK_LINK# - Displays a link back to the previous page. #OK# and #RETURN_TO_APPLICATION# - Returns to translated text strings.
It appears that only the first substitution string is doing anything. I'm especially interested in additional info and technical info. The back_link just looks like an html snippet, not sure why I would use a substitution string for this. I imagine the last two could facilitate site translation, but that doesn't work much if there is no machinery for translating error messages themselves.

how to make a form with report and an insert form in the same page, these two forms are related to the same table. Our customer wants a user can add new row to the table in a form and see all of rows created by this user in a report, this report should provide edit link as well. the problem is: whenever I inserted a new row or edit a row or delete a row, and submitted, and return to this page, all of hidden items lost their values, so report is blank, and some display only items also lost their values.
I am trying to make an excel dump for some banking application using Forms 6i . I am making use of OLE to make an excel dump. I have a small problem while using this OLE concept . I have an Account column which is is having the data type VARCHAR2 at database level . when i try to make a excel dump of this column , then the values in the account number column in excel is getting converted into number column . Eg: A/c - 000123 is appearing as 123 in excel. How this can be retained as 000123 in excel sheet .
I'm having a problem with a column that is too short for it's data. It causes multiple lines for the same record. How can I change a column width in Oracle? I'm using a select statement to see the data.
