I am having an interactive report with an email subscription.
My question is, how can I make the default attachment as a .csv file instead of the .htm file?
I was waiting for the attachment in Teamdevelopment as stated in APEX 4.2 new Features:
Support for attachments within Team Development 1007 EA2 Allow file attachments for bugs, todo, and features.but I can not find the functionality?
I am using apex_mail (in Apex 4.1) to send emails with an attachment.
v_mail_id := apex_mail.send(

Apex creates this as an attachment:
Content-Disposition: attachment;
I would like to change it to inline:
Content-Disposition: inline;
so I can reference it in my email body with <img src="cid:signature.jpg"/>. Well... I hope it is going to be shown inline anyway if I change Content-Disposition.
Currently (with Content-Disposition: attachment;) it works for Outlook, but, for instance, not in Gmail in the browser. Gmail shows the image separately as an attachment.
Is there a way to change the content-disposition with Apex?
I know it is possible to do it with utl_mail, but this is currently not installed in our databases. I need to involve our DBA to set this up, and I don't know if he is willing to do that.

For example, initially I created the reprot source as select c1, c2, c3 from t; later I added c4. But i was unable to figure out how to make c1, c2, c3, c4 become default displayed columns. I always have to click Action -> Select Columns, then move C4 from "Do not Display" to "Display in Report".

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using apex 4.1 and create a page with Interactive report with one default primary report and several default alternative report. when i selected one alternative report, how do i know which one is i picked up? it looks obvious to the user but my point is when the user switches to another page, or there are something should change based on the selected report, i want the user see the new page with-in the context of what have selected for that IR report. for example, i have a "summary" report based on year, so the alternative report will be year-2011, year-2012, etc, when user selected this year, 2012, on the same IR page, there is another report based on year 2012, when user selected 2011, that report should show 2011 report.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn a detail tabular form I am referencing a date picker field from the master form as default value.This is the situation in the detail form:
TABULAR FORM
Column Name: FECHAREGISTRO -- the field's name in the detail tabular form
Default Type: Item (application or page item name)
Default: P68_FECHAREGISTRO -- It's a field in the master form and also is Date Picker format
Reference Table Owner: SAMPEDRORIVEROS
Reference Table Name: BITACORAABOGADO
Reference Column Name: FECHAREGISTRO -- It's a date field in the database
At execution time I have the error:
report error:ORA-01790: expression must have same datatype as corresponding expression
I think it is because i must use to_date and to_char in order to change the datatype and i have tried using:
Default: to_date(to_char(:P68_FECHAREGISTRO,'DD-MON-YYYY'),'DD-MON-YYYY')
and in Default Type: PL/SQL Expression or Function but I get a different message at execution time:
report error: ORA-01722: invalid number.
I actually have tried to read the Customizing Templates chapter of the Users Guide. According to that guide, the following substitution strings are supported in the the Error Template Control section of page templates.
#MESSAGE# and #ADDITIONAL_INFO# - Places the error message.
#TECHNICAL_INFO# - Displays detailed internal error information which will just be visible for developers.
#BACK_LINK# - Displays a link back to the previous page.
#OK# and #RETURN_TO_APPLICATION# - Returns to translated text strings.
However, if I enter the follow code

<p> additional info: #ADDITIONAL_INFO# </p>

It appears that only the first substitution string is doing anything. I'm especially interested in additional info and technical info. The back_link just looks like an html snippet, not sure why I would use a substitution string for this. I imagine the last two could facilitate site translation, but that doesn't work much if there is no machinery for translating error messages themselves.

2.-) i am calling a form from another form, sending a couple of fields as a link parameters. the second form is called as expected, but i need that records on the second form that match the parameters get displayed. how do i achieve that ?
Basically I have a report that as part of it's source sql takes in an element from a select list.
E.G. SELECT * FROM table_name WHERE table_column = : P1_SELECTLIST
This works fine when the user selects an option from the select list however the first time the page runs it always returns data not found. The options correctly appear in the select list as they should without any nulls although it seems the select list is still initializing as null. I have been told to try and add a computation before the header on the select list item, although I'm not sure if this would work/how to do this.?
I'm using one of the new Date/Time picker items in Apex 4.0.2. When the user clicks the Calendar image the Calendar is displayed with the current date and time. However I would like it to display by default the current date and a time of 1000hrs.

It has a series of buttons for the Sections of the Catalog and when the user presses the button it fills a hidden item which is in the where criteria of the Catalog, all of this works great with one exception:
When the user clicks the Catalog button and the data in the Interactive Report Changes; the Report changes to "Report View" I would like to maintain the report in "Icon View" only is there a way how I could have the interactive report only show "Icon View".

View 3 Replies View RelatedApex 4.2I have a page with a calendar on it. I have several issues with formatting the data within each cell. Currently, I use a substitution string to place the id in the calendar cell.
Clicking the id will link to another page. What I notice is that for each id on a calendar cell (or date), it lists them one under the other. Is there any way to list them side by side? Also, I need to make changes to the calendar cells. I would like to expand the width and the height, but am not sure where to do this.

I have created a form. Some of the elements are hidden such as updated_by and update_date. I have provided the default values for these attributes as pl/sql expression in the "default section" (Application->page->edit page item). I am using the Process Row process that is automatically created when a form is created.
The problem is when I click the update button, the updated_by and update_date is passed as null values which throws an error from the database.
I am facing this problem, not sure how to solve this. Basically, the default value of the "items" on the page don't get set when the session is cleared and I visit the page for the first time.
So when I check the session for the first time, all page items are null. But when I revisit the page, the page items gets set sometimes.
I am using SSO login for Authorizations. Would like make use of SSO for creating authentication schema. My main requirement is to assign privilege based on users using SSO loging.
