Application Express :: Highlight Words - Only First Occurrence?

Feb 14, 2013

'm using the "Highlight Words" column formating for a report. There, I'm using the item syntax: &P1_RENVOI. Problem is, when the report appear, only the first occurence of the value of item "P1_RENVOI" is in red for every field in that column.

Is this a normal feature or should all occurences be put in red?

Create A Function Based Index On Bold Highlighted

Jul 2, 2010

Using oracle 10g R2 on sun-solaris 10 (sparc-64) Well in the MIS system we have lot of ad-hoc queries coming up. We have proper indexing. Say an example which runs very slow;

SELECT GLKCO, GLDCT, GLDOC, GLDGJ, GLJELN, GLEXTL, GLPOST, GLICU, GLICUT, GLDICJ, GLDSYJ,
GLTICU, GLCO, GLANI, GLAM, GLAID, GLMCU, GLOBJ, GLSUB, GLSBL, GLSBLT, GLLT, GLPN, GLCTRY, GLFY, GLFQ,GLCRCD, GLCRR, GLHCRR, GLHDGJ, GLAA, GLU, GLUM, GLGLC, GLRE, GLEXA, GLEXR, GLUPMJ, GLUPMT, GLBCRC, GLCRRM, GLACR, GLAN8
FROM "PRODDTA"."F0911"
WHERE GLUPMJ <> 0
AND TO_DATE('1 JAN' || (19+substr( GLUPMJ , 1, 1)) || substr( GLUPMJ ,2,2)) + substr( GLUPMJ , 4, 3 ) -1 BETWEEN SYSDATE - 365 AND SYSDATE
[code]....

Here GLUPMJ already indexed so the second query returing an index scan but the first query does a FTS naturally.Now even if I plan to create a function based index on 'the bold highlighted' but how.

create index glupmj_idx on f0911(TO_DATE('1 JAN' || (19+substr( GLUPMJ , 1, 1)) || substr( GLUPMJ ,2,2)) + substr( GLUPMJ , 4, 3 ));..Error If I don't use a FBI my query will result in FTS.

1> how to create a FBI here in this case

2> In MIS systems where 'n' no of ad-hoc queries can come up, how to avoid FTS.

PL/SQL :: Regular Expression Matching All Given Words

Nov 8, 2012

I'm trying to match all sentences that contain words starting with given search tokens at least once. For example: if the given search token words are one and two then only sentences like "one plus one is two" should match. And should not match sentences like "one plus three is four". I was able to come up with this but I need a AND condition which I'm unable to get it right.

select count(*) from dual where regexp_like('one plus one is two', '(^|s)one|three', 'i');

Currently this gives a count of 1. But needs to give a count of 0 when the regexp is fixed.

search words : one two

one is less than two -> match
two is greater than one -> match
onetwo is union of two numbers -> match
onetwo is union of 2 numbers -> not a match as 'two' is not at the beginning of a word
one is less than three -> not a match as two is not present.

We traveled on a special taxi with a spare Train Operator at 0839hrs and reached Greenford Station at 0859hrs. Emergency Services ( Police, London Ambulance, London Fire Brigade and ERU) were already on site. When spoken to Line Controlllor stated he received a normal radio call from E105 to inform him that he has got a person under his train. At 0826 Line Controllor had traction current switched off between Northolt and Greenford. Train service was suspended from North Acton to West Ruislip in both directions (east and west).

I could not speak to the Train Operator as Police was in the process of interviewing him and he was too traumatised to speak. Trauma Support was arranged from Loughton as we had no one available at West Ruislip and White City. Trauma Support spoke to T/OP over the telephone and Train Operator decided to travel in a special taxi which was booked for him on his own, although a Station Staff was was arranged to travel with him. During the process a spare T/OP stayed with this T/OP. When spoken to Mr. Clack Operations Security Manager stated he was traveling on this train from West Ruislip and made a telephone call to Network Operations Centre at 0826hrs to inform them of the situation. Mr. Clack travelled to the leading cab and confirmed that although the T/OP was badly shaken but he carried out his duties in a professinal manner by placing Short Circuiting Devise in front of the train and second SCD was placed on the rear of the track by Station Supervisor after traction current was discharged. Passengers were detrained by operation butterfly cock. Les Blaxwall Operations Standards Manager was also travelling on this train and offered his to T/OP. Mr. Blaxwall assisted in the wrong direction move and stayed till the end of the operation to assist. Wrong Direction move was carried out by T/OP Martin to assist emergency services for the track search. The deceased was an elderly of Asian origin approximately of 65yrs of age wearing white shirt, beige trauser and white trainers. When CCTV was viewed he was seen pacing up and down on the east bound platform near the waiting room. On approach of T105 he jumped in front of the train at 0824hrs and train stopped with two cars outside the station. The body was removed from platform at 0940hrs by ERU and taken in a body bag to the secure room at Greenford Station. Track was accessed by BTP to carry out track search for any trace of identification at 0932hrs and gave all clear at 0942hrs.

TOM Williamson assisted in closing the train doors by operating the butterfly cock to close position. Traction Current was switched on at 0948hrs and T105 was worked empty to North Acton and reversed to Ruislip Depot. All clear was given at 0951hrs and after station search, Greenford Station was re opened at 0955hrs. E142 was the first train to run in service on the east bound. Application Express :: Pass Header Variable From OAM To Apex And Read It In Application?

Mar 4, 2013

We have integrated Oracle Access Manager 11gR1 with Oracle Apex 4.1. The OAM-Apex integration is working fine. Now we want an additional header variable to be passed from OAM to the Apex application. This new header variable will be user's sAMAccountName in Active Directory. OAM is integrated with AD and the AD users are successfully able to access the Apex applications.

The three header variables which are configure in OAM right now are:
Header variable name Value
1. OAM_REMOTE_USER $user.userid
2. OAM_REMOTE_USER_EMAIL $user.attr.mail
3. OAM_REMOTE_USER_GROUPS $user.groups

We need an additional header variable as mentioned below:
Header variable name: OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME
Value: $user.attr.samaccountname

The new header variable was added in the OHS server's dads.conf file like shown below:
=========== dads.conf =============
...
PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER
PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER_GROUPS
PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER_EMAIL
PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME

But we are not able to read the value of this attribute in the Apex application.On the Apex application, we have a text box which shows the value of this header variable. This textbox is attached with the following stored procedure call to fetch the header variable:
===================
begin
:P1_HEADER_VALUE := owa_util.get_cgi_env( 'HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME' );
end;

The textbox shows the correct value if HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER is passed to the get_cgi_env method but does not shows anything when HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME is passed to the same method. if I am missing some configuration to pass the HTTP_OAM_SAMACCOUNTNAME haeder variable from OAM to Apex.

Application Express :: Multiple Application Setup Using Session Sharing Within Workspace

Jan 24, 2013

I have multiple application set-up using session sharing within the workspace.Technically all works fine, however it does not play nice with user behaviour.

Example:
Users logs into APP_ID:100. Since he isn't authenticated yet, he provides user/pass and the APP_SESSION is authenticated.
Now if the user switches using to another application (using a link provided in application 100) he gets redirect to APP_ID:101:APP_SESSION all is fine.

The session is already authenticated, the application shares the session and the user gains access to app 101 without having to authenticate again. All's fine!

However users don't behave they way. Instead of using an easy link in the application. They will use their own bookmark or type in the url for app 101 manually. That way the next application is either called with f?p=101:1:[SOME OLD SESSIONID FROM BOOMARK] or f?p=101 (with no further page or session info) In both cases instead of using the already authenticated session apex spawns a new session, which of course isn't authenticated yet thus forcing the user to authenticate and come complaining they have to login again.

Similar behaviour problems exists when the user opens a browser and tries to open both applications in each in a tab next to each other.Both tabs fetch there own initial session id and start writing it to the same cookie each in turn invalidating the other tab's session.These can lead to some fanatic ping pong actions. Thus it's impossible to open 2 applications sharing session in the same browser.

Is there any remedy for these situations?Can apex be as smart as for instance first trying to resume the session stored in the cookie and only if that session is invalid, start a new session?

Application Express :: Get Checked Options Values Via Application Global Arrays?

Apr 26, 2013

how to use checkbox item, and trying to get checked options values via application global arrays. So, this may be quite simple question, but I'm completely stuck here...

When I was looking through various threads and guides, I've encountered checkbox corresponding array names like "g_f01" - "g_f50". And so far i saw that these names are derived from item name in generated HTML code, for example:

<input type="checkbox" name="*f10*" value="3" />

And this one stands for array name "g_*f10*".However, when I tried to do the same thing - i receive item name which looks like "*p_v04*", and therefore, I can't figure out, which array name should I choose to adress it properly.

My generated HTML snippet:

<input type="checkbox" id="P6_ANSWER_0" name="*p_v04*" value="3"/>
