Application Express :: 4.2.2 - Import / Export Particular Page Are Not Working Correctly

I am running my oracle apex application on 4.2.2 on apex.oracle.com. Exporting the application seems to work but when I go to import the application as a copy the regions within a particular page are not working correctly. I want to be able to export the application and import a new copy as a DEV/TEST application and have it function the same way. On the original application the region will display to the right when hovered over the edit button but in the new one it will go to the left and not format correctly.How I would like it is just for the copy application to perform the same way the original copy does. I selected to install all dependent objects and don't know what steps I have missed to have the regions not working like they do on the original application. related to CSS not exporting/importing correctly?

I have some Javascript in an Apex page, running in 'Execute when page loads'. It does some stuff to a results grid. It works fine on page load, but then doesn't run when I page through, or sort the grid. I presume this is because the grid is being sorted / paged using Ajax, which means the page isn't being fully loaded. Is there anywhere else I can put the code so it gets applied to the grid on sorts and paging?

I have an application item that receives a web service result. This result is like 'MARIA','JOSE','JESUS'. I'm using this string into the parameters of the interactive report, but this is not recognized. I'm showing the content of the application item into a pl sql region and the content is 'MARIA','JOSE','JESUS', when I include this application item into the query, the IR shows me 'MARIA','JOSE','JESUS'

I have a page process that calls back end PL/SQL. I have a page item that is populated by said PL/SQL procedure, P35_PROCESSING_MSG. As you know the Process allows me to specify a message for Success and another for Failure. My desire is that, if there is a back end failure, the error will display in the dialog area, using the built-in "Process Error Message" functionality. Instead, after execution, the page item still has its default value and the following, ugly, error displays in the tabular report region.
report error:
ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
I just don't get why it displays here instead of in the usual failure area. Moreover, I don't understand why the error is "*+unhandled+* user-defined exception" when, as you will see, I have handled it.
I have a page process to perform custom MRD for a tabular form. (I don't think this is really germane to the more generic issue but, I bring it up as an explanation for the following code sample). I am deliberately causing a DIVIDE BY ZERO error to test the error handling form the back end.

i have a html button. With the following attributes: onclick="return false" class="upd_description" A dynamic Action is listening on this button.
Event: Click
Selection-Type: jQuery Selector
JQuery Selector: .upd_description
static_URL: f?p=&APP_ID.:306:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:306:P306_SER_SK:&P305_SER_SK.
as defined in my button attributes.
Button and dynamic action are on page 305. I can now open Page 306 as modal window but the page will close immediately.

We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.

I am new to APEX and I am developing an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a page (8) that has text items for the username and the database name. I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *FROM valid_dbWHERE username = :FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How do I accomplish this?

Need to create a report based on date ranges and for this created a interactive report and two page item datepicker fields P15_fromdate and p15_todate. Report works fine with this criteria.But user wants one more field quarter(P15_quarter), When they select the quarter the range values has to get reset and as to get applied to report.
Issue here is unable to find a way to set the page range item values based on the quarter field selection
how to reset the page item fields.

I'm trying to set up a PL/SQL dynamic action that is triggered by clicking on a button. The dynamic action sets two values in a table and then I would like to redirect to another page. Setting the values works fine. The code is below:

How do I center a button within a region? I tried 'align="center"' but this seemed to be ignored. The button is at the left of the screen. Also, what are the 'display points' (Page Template Region Position 1-8) used for, and why is there a specification for column position of 1-9? Could these be attributes that will allow my button to be centered on the window instead of on the left?

We have upgraded our apex installation from APEX 4.0.2 to 4.2.2 and APEX listener to 2.0.2
Below is our configuration
Host 1 : Oracle databaseOracle database - 10.2.0.5APEX - 1.1.3
Host 2 : Apex listener on Weblogic serverWeblogic server - 10.3.5 APEX listener - 2.0.2
Post the upgrade , applications that were existing before the upgrade are not working properly.
Errors faced:1.When we edit any page in application - we get no data found error2.
When we run any application - We get no data found error We are able to create new applications without any issues.Luckily , we had the export backup of one application taken before upgrade. We imported that back( only one application ) and that application is working fine. We imported the application in apex.oracle.com as well and get the same error[URL]... occurs during page 'Edit' as well.

I have an application built in Apex 4.2It's been running fine for several weeksI've not made any changes to the codeSuddenly it developed what seems to be a cache problem.If I enter a search criteria; it displays results. I enter a different search criteria and it brings back the same results as the first criteria.I enter a search criteria in a different field and I still get the results from the first searchI go from Internet Explorer to Mozilla.
DIfferent search criteria, but same issue. Google chrome - same issueThe obvious answer is to clear the cache.I have a process set up that is clear Cache for Items , on submit after computations and validations and then I list all the items individually.This process has been there all along.
I never had this problem before.If I log out and come back in, same issue. What ever I enter as the first search criteria is the results no matter how I search

Each time when I import an application into my workspace in local 10g XE using the APEX 4.2 Application Builder, I get the "ORA-02291, constraint wwv_flows_fk violated..". The application I whant to import was originally exported from [URL]. I found out, that it has to to with wwv_flow_application_install.get_workspace_id in the installation script, which obviously returns NULL and not my current workspace id as I suppose it should. I replaced wwv_flow_application_install.get_workspace_id by '<my worskspace id>' and then the import does work.

I have "After header" process (with PL/SQL code) in "Page Rendering" section and want to navigate to some page after this process has been completed. I created a branch (On Submit: After Processing) with Target Type: URL. But this branch is executed only after "Page Processing", not after "Page Rendering". Maybe , there is any APEX API functions for pages navigating..

I'm using Apex Version: 4.2.1.00.08
I created a page with 2 tree regions. Both trees use different items and different queries. The first tree is displayed correctly. But the second one just contains the first item, if I don't display the first on via customizing the page or if I change the order of the trees the previoulsy invalid tree is shown correctly, but I didn't find a way to display both correct at the same time.

Trying to create a "page zero". Usually in previous releases this is done executing the following:
1. On the Workspace home page, click Application Builder.
2. Select an application.
3. The Application home page appears.
4. Click the Create Page button.
5. For Select a page type, select Page Zero.
Note that the Page Zero option only appears if the application does not have a page zero.
6. Click Finish.
Since the upgrade to 4.2 this option is not available or has move. (I do not have a page zero already created.)

I have an application where I use the zero session ID for public users. The problem is, I have a region that contains a report linking to PDF files contained in a BLOB and I use GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC to link to the PDFs. I've included the report in my global content (page 0) and want it to be available to all visitors. The problem is, it only works when a user has authenticated. It throws a PAGE NOT FOUND error for public users.

When I create a new page item via copying from existing page item it fails with the below error code, if there is > or < character in the source of the existing item.Error Source contains <, > or " which are invalid characters. It works fine if I create new item using wizard and then have the same source. I use div tags in the source of my display only items.

it is possible to have two Validations one Page Item. Also I need to execute them one by one. If one is passed then go to the other and validate that one.
Example:P20_FORM_ACTIONP20_REOPENP20_REASON Validation 1: P20_REASON != 0 with condition P20_FORM_ACTION = CLOSEIf Validation 1 is passed then go to Validation 2Validation 2: P20_REASON != 0 with condition P20_REOPEN = YES
If Validation 2 is passed, then submit the form otherwise get error. is possible in Application Express 4.2.2.00.11. I tried to put the validations as described above into my application, but it did not work. Only one Validation was executed.
