Workflow :: Set Up To Open Arabic Version Of File In Builder

Mar 2, 2013

We downloaded Arabic Version of workflow from server using WF_LOAD command. We are able to see Arabic names for item type, attribute, message etc if we open the .wft file in customer PC.But if we open it in our PC,Arabic names are coming as junk. We guess that it needs some setups.

setups to open Arabic .wft file in workflow builder in windows 7? The note id 444068.1 is removed by oracle.

Workflow :: Send Attachments To Requester In AP Invoice Approval Workflow

Sep 4, 2012

We are on 12.1.3 Apps.

We want to be able to send attachments at the invoice header level with the invoice approval workflow email as attachments. The standard workflow does not provide this functionality.

We were able to achieve this functionality using the approach given here:

[URL]........

Basically we added a document type attribute to the notification message, and set a BLOB variable to it inside our custom procedure, which is set as the function for the notification: DOCUMENT_APPROVAL_REQUEST.

Now we are able to see the attachments coming as attachments in approval request emails to the approvers. But the issue is that the first approver on the list, the requester is not seeing the attachments. All the other approvers can see the attachments. We have checked the WF Role for the user and the Notification preference is set as MAILHTML

As far as i can see, same notification and same message is used to send the email to all approvers including requester. Then why only requester is not getting the attachments?

Workflow :: HRSSA Workflow Errors With 3120 - Activity HRSSA/343959 Has No Performer

Oct 3, 2013

After HRMS RUP6 patch, we overlooked a customization that set the Performer Type and Performer Role on an activity.   Consequently, we have  many workflows that are currently in progress and in an error status with:

HRSSA workflow errors with 3120: Activity 'HRSSA/343959' has no performer.

We see in the wf_process_activities table that the

PERFORM_ROLE and PERFORM_ROLE_TYPE for activity 343959 have the wrong values.

Their values are currently, PERFORM_ROLE_TYPE = 'CONSTANT' , PERFORM_ROLE is null.

They should be:  PERFORM_ROLE_TYPE = 'ITEM_ATTR' and PERFORM_ROLE = 'FORWARD_TO_USER_NAME'.

This has been fixed for current workflows but the activities in error do not complete successfully on retry.  Is there an API that allows us to set PERFORM_ ROLE and PERFORM_ROLE_TYPE on a specific activity?

Importing From A Dump File - Incompatible Version Number

Sep 3, 2012

import from dump (.dmp) file. I'm running Oracle database 11g Enterprise edition release 11.1.0.6.0.

the import statement I'm using is

impdp system/password@orcl full=Y DIRECTORY=data_pump_dir dumpfile=mydmpfile.dmp logfile=min.log

and the error I'm getting is "incompatible versionnumber 3.1 in the dumpfile mydmpfile.dmp"

The dump file was exported using oracle 11.2.0.2.0. I tried to download/unzip the client version of instantclient 11.2.0.2 and add it to the PATH variable in windows and then re-run the script, but it didn't work.

How I should go from here to import this dump file without reinstalling the whole database?

Forms :: Open File JavaBean For Web Deployed 6i?

Feb 5, 2008

I want to use dialog for selecting file in Fomrs 6i.I attached d2kwutill.pll into form, i uploaded d2kwut60.dll into <ORA_HOME>/bin and coded WIN_API_DIALOG.OPEN_FILE to open file. Everything works fine on the machine I'm developing, the open file dialog works and it returns file name. But when i upload form on remote machine where i access through the web it won't work.

I uploaded d2kwutil.plx on remote machine to the directory where forms reside. This is when I attach library without storing full path of it which is in my case c:someFormsDir - note! on remote machine Forms reside on d:Forms, and on local machine I have only c: HDD D: is cdrom and i can't change drive letters.

I also try to upload d2kwutil.plx in c:someFomrsDir on remote machine although forms there reside in d:Forms, but on local machine library(and forms) reside in c:someFormsDir.

None of two above examples work.

I upload d2kwut60.dll in <ORACLE_HOME>in direcotry - doesn't work. I even upload d2kwut60.dll in orahome2in direcory, doesn't work. On my local machine d2kwut60.dll is in ORA_HOMEin where ifsrv60.exe can be found, the same i do on remote.

When I puch button to open dialog for choosing file Internet Explorer freezes.

Recovery Manager (RMAN) :: Duplicate Restoring Older Version Of File Than Expected?

Feb 28, 2013

We are running 11.2.0.3.2.

In my catalog for the "source" database (rman target db), I have the backupsets for a full database backup ended at Feb. 7, 03:43:37. These are online backups. So, there are archived redo logs being generated while it runs and the following archived redo logs finished at Feb. 7, 04:00:24.

We duplicate databases all the time. So, this is not a new concept for us. The one thing that has changed is that we now back up to disk (using the flashback recovery area) and then later on, initiate a backup to tape. Prior to this go-live, we did all of our backups directly to tape. The catalog does not seem confused. It knows it needs to go to tape because it's beyond the retention for disk backups. The only problem is that it is going to the backup prior to the backupset I want, only for a couple of files.

In the past, when all went directly to tape, we would do a set until time 'Feb. 7, 03:43:37' and it would automatically restore the backupset that finished then and apply archived redo logs as necessary to make a consistent copy. Now, if I use the same model, it's going to a backup set from the prior date for 3 particular files. If I change the time to when the archived redo logs ended their backup, 04:00, it still goes back to the day before, but only for 2 files.

I can list a backup of each specific file and see that the file is in the backupset for which I expect RMAN to pull. How can I figure out a date/time to go back to if not using the method of reviewing the catalog entries and timestamps?

Export/Import/SQL Loader :: 500 Unable To Open File

Jun 24, 2013

Lots of email alerts reporting SQL Loader failures (the data is actually loading) but I want to prevent all these email alerts being fired. We have an SQL Loader script that is failing regularly with this error, however the data does end up in the tables so it must run subsequently succesfully the log files are cleared out quite quickly so it is difficult to track the errors. Why is there no filename just a.day reference in the error log file?

Below is the shell script  I do not have much script experience, so I am unable to see how I can alter this...could I add some kind of exclusive lock check to see if I actually have access to the file before SQL Loader tries to Load it?

Server Utilities :: TKPROF Cannot Open Trace File

Jan 6, 2011

I am trying to get a readable version of a .trc file generated by Oracle

10.2.0.4.0 with tkprof, but I still have been unable to get this done...and this is what I have already tried:

tkprof /u00/app/oracle/admin/DB/udump/*BITN1234.trc /batch/salidas/student/BITNTRACE.txt

And whether I run this from my PL/SQL process (PRO*C) or from a command line, it returns:

TKPROF: Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production on Thu Jan 6 11:04:38 2011
Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved.

could not open trace file /u00/app/oracle/admin/DB/udump/BITN1234.trc

I have already (from my PRO*C code and from command line)...

- made sure that the file is in the directory.
- run this from the udump directory, where the .trc file is...didn't work.
- run this from the udump directory, and specifying explicitely the

complete path anyway in the tkprof line (redundant...I know)...didn't work.

- tried to copy the file to another directory in order to run the tkprof,

and it returns:

cp: BITN1234.trc: The file access permissions do not allow the specified

action.

- tried changing privileges with:
chmod a+r BITN1234.trc

and it returns:
chmod: BITN1234.trc: Operation not permitted.

- tried to run tkprof01 instead of tkprof and it returns:

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System Administrator. It usually boils down to these two things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.

Precompilers, OCI & OCCI :: PRO*C Compiler Version Versus Database Version

Oct 15, 2010

We are planning to upgrade a database from 9.2.0.8.0 to 10.2.0.4.0.We have a lot a PRO*C programs pre compiled using 9.2.0.8.0 (and most likely even 9.2.0.7.0) compiler.

if we could upgrade the database without having to re-compile all the programs. We have tested this approach against some of our programs. Most of them executed fine - but in 2 cases we are getting "ORA-01001 invalid cursor". I suspect, that the case is that Pre compiler version 9 is not supported against 10g databases - but I am not sure.

Would it be a better option to upgrade Pre compiler/client as the first step and the db as the second step (and would that be supported) ? We definitely don't want to upgrade both Pre compiler/Client and the Database in one goal - that would be too risky.
