View 4 Replies View RelatedI've below questions about my raised topic.
1. How would I know whether I'm running Shared Server or Dedicated Server?
2. How to configure Shared Server?
3. How to configure Dedicated Server?
4. How Can I use both these connection types with one database?
I mean one session with dedicated and one with shared at the same time.
i am continuously inserting data to oracle database after some time like 2 hours oracle disconnects,it creates erros like
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Process ID: 0
Session ID: 0 Serial number: 0
after restarting the database with shutdown immediate ans startup if i start inserting records it will show erros like
ORA-01653: unable to extend table SYSTEM.GLT_PROT_TRAFFIC_SUM_VOIP by 8192 in tablespace GLCOMM
but i have created the Tablespace with BigFile Auto Extend and max size unlimited, i am having 400GB disk space created Redo logs with 15gb,i have tried serveral times reinstalling the oracle but problem is not solved.
same problem is happenging with small datafiles also,
operating system: windows server 2008 R2 standard
oracle server : 11g
oracle client : 64 bit
Actually in our environment , sysadmins are upgrading java versions on Unix (HP & Solaris) Machines and they have asked the query whether oracle database uses Java or not?
If it uses then all the databases need to be shut down for their planned activities and if not no need to shutdown the databases.
I am facing a problem as listed below:
$sqlplus /nolog
SQL>conn /as sydba
connected.
SQL>conn upt/upt
not connected
ora-01034 not available
ora-27101 shared memory realm doesntnot exists
linux error-2 no such file ...
SQL>...
UPT is the user in which our data resides.
wat cud be the problem??????
I tried increasing sizes in INIT.ORA.... listener,tns is OK
.bash_profile of ORACLE user is also correct.
I want to increase my shared pool. my SGA values are as under below.

GROUP BY NAME;

All of a sudden my oracle application has stopped functioning.When I try to log in I get the following messages:
ORA-27101 SHARED MEMORY REALM DOES NOT EXIST
ORA-01034 ORACLE NOT AVAILABLE
From the command line when I try to connect as sysdba and startup the following message appears: "oracle instance terminated.Disconnection forced"
When user insert rows in table oracle interrupts and raise error- ORA-04031: unable to allocate 256 bytes of shared memory? how to do?
I tried to increase the size of shared_pool also but cant.
large_pool_size = 0
shared_pool_size=134217728(128M)
sga_max_size=218103808(208M)
And when I fire 'select* from v$sga;'

I have a package when it runs, it terminates with "unable to allocate 4120 bytes of shared memory"error at a particular INSERT statement. So everytime we had this error, we had to flush the shared pool area, after which it would run without issues(for 3-4 weeks).
It had a dynamic subpartition clause framed, which made it to repharse the query every time.So to reduce this, we removed the subpartition clause(made it to static query), which did benefit of not getting shared pool error.
I would like to find the current shared pool memory usage of my program.Is there a way I could find the live consumption of shared pool area of my program(pkg).
We are getting the below error in between from database. The database throws the below error some times only not continuous.
ORA-12500, TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process.
We a running oracle9i database and forms 6i application.
We have 4 gb ram size and sized the sga for 700mb pga for 400mb for past 4 months there is no problem.
Now from last week we encounter the server hang, and we do restart. How to check reason for hanging.what are all the check list to carried out.

quick check on a hidden parameter? I need to know the default value and possible values for _serial_direct_read on various releases, I have only 11.2.0.3 available right now and I'ld like to know this for 11.2.x.x 11.1.x.x, and 10.2.x.x.
Below is the query that will show what it is currently which (unless you've changed it) will be the default: auto for my 11.2.0.3. Then to see the options, try to set it to something wrong, my options are false/true/never/auto/always. I think false/true were the only choices for 10.2 and are maintained only for compatibility. But I can't rememebnr 11.1.

i am getting this error during expdp ORA-01555 -snapshot too old
1. i increased undo_retention i.e 50000
2. i execute expdp during late night when almost zero user is online so no commit from any other session.
3. we have a table having BLOB data type field in a table which is 500 GB in size.complete DB size is 700 GB
where and why this error exists.if corruption of BLOB so how to check that etc. the same error is occurring in three of our data centres during expdp.
would want to check which tables located in which datafiles.
Tried with this command:
select B.FILE_NAME from dba_segments a, dba_data_files b
where a.header_file=b.file_ID and segment_name='TABLE_NAME'
Seems like it only shows 1 datafile. Some tables are large and i suppose it's resided in more than 1 datafile.
which data dictionary view would you query to see the free extents in a tablespace.
i use dba_free_space;
SQL> select tablespace_name,sum(bytes),sum(blocks) from dba_free_space where
tablespace_name = 'SYSTEM' GROUP BY TABLESPACE_NAME;
TABLESPACE_NAME SUM(BYTES) SUM(BLOCKS)
