Need to find out what the maximum number of concurrent logins are over a period of 1 month. We need to do this as we may need to buy more licences.

In our development database, we have created 5 dimensions and a cube with 2 measures in OLAP. All these are mapped to relational tables. When we try to load this cube (MAINTAIN CUBE option from AWM) we are getting this below error:

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have a requirement where we need to pay allowance for the employees based on their number of working days. Say for example if an employee worked from 03/Mar/2012 to 05/Apr/2012.
We have a fixed value for per month 300 Dirhams. But the Number of Days on March s 31 and Number of days in April is 30. So per day allowance for March day would be 300/31 and April would be 300/30.
We are looking for logic opr query which calculates first eh number of days in each month ( across months) and then calculate as below
Number of Working days in March is 31 - 3 + 1 = 29
Allowance A1 = (300 * 29 )/31
Number of Working days in April is 5 ( this also needs to find logical I am guess )
Allowance A2 = (300 * 5 )/30
Then A1 + A2.
The A(n) would be the total allowance where provided the number of month across.

I have attempted to use the analytic function to keep a running total of the count of active calls based on the connect and disconnect times given for each record row.
e.g.

when we ran SELECT statement against CUBE, we got below wait event: resmgr: cpu quantum.Further, we checked below 2 parameters :

how to analyze how much % of CPU being utilized for a specific session ?
I have a table with counter value which will be incremented or decremented by several application servers.
SQL> select * from test;
COUNTER
----------
10
Application servers(multiple servers) will be running update against this row for increasing the counter value or decreasing the counter value.
update test set counter=counter+1;
update test set counter=counter-1;
update test set counter=counter+1;
update test set counter=counter+1;
So when update happens concurrently to this table will the counter value gets messed up?
I did a small test by opening multiple sessions for running update and the result I got for above update statement was 11,10,11,12.
But our developer is bit skeptical about this approach and he is using select for update and then updating the row.
Which approach will be better?
i want to find the data which has the more then one rates available for the given date. Here below i've posted a test table. how can find the products for which, there multiple dates/overlapping period is available through sql statement.

My current database MAX OPEN CURSORS VALUE=300.
Applications "A","B","C" using same DB user (USER1) then connect to a database.
Last night I created dedicated DB user (USER2) then application "B" connect to DB using this new user.Starting traffic increase today morning "B" application receiving "ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded" error from DB.When I change current DB user USER2 to USER1, application did not receiving above errors.
I don't understanding what happening in database?
Even though i am using COL1 CHAR(500) NULLIF COL1=BLANKS, then also i am getting same error for those columns.

I want to find the the latest compid for individual types 1 and 2 only within a list of ids. Latest compid is defined as the compid associated with the latest end date (null is treated as the latest end date).
So in the above example for rel_type = 1, compid : 12 is latest, for rel_type : 2, compid : 6 is latest.
