Select Multiple Images Using Department Field In Spriden Table To Pull Needed Id Numbers

I have an Oracle 10g database, on the App Serv I have an image file that has 20,000 .jpg files that has an id number as each image name.I have successfully queryed the image file and posted one image to my web page matching the image id number.
sample:
the &1 is the matching id number that is input from the user.My task now is to select multiple images using a department field in the spriden table to pull the needed id numbers.I have not been successful in the proper format to pass the id number to the <img src field.
I Want to make a query to select finished goods product in sales having product code greater than 280 but i have face a problem that order by is not working because products column have character code as well as number. how to sort that column.
I have a file having 10k of rows and I need to use *sql loader to insert the data into table. Below are the information.

what should i do in this line because the value that i want is DEPT_ID but the file is giving the DEPART_NAME. If there any sql statement can be used in control file?
I need to subtract multiple numbers to get the difference between each numbers, the amount of numbers to subtract between each others can vary between 2 and 10.
I'm trying to pull all the degrees into a table based on which institution is selected. If institution is 'AAA' or 'BBB' then pull ACAD_PLAN, DESCR by ACAD_PROG where ACAD_PROG >= some value and <= some other value.
If institution is 'CCC' then pull ACAD_PLAN, DESCR by institution regardless of ACAD_PROG.
Something like

I have employee interface table something like this.

I want to idenitfy the VP for each employee. The logic I have to apply is check for hte supervisor of each employee to see if the supervisor has designation starting with 'VP'. If no, I have check the supervisor of the supervisor and so on. I tried using a recursive query using connect_by_root but in the above example for employee ND it lists the VP as both MD and SK. I need it to show on MD who is the lower in the hierarchy.

How to store images in table column. I have table called emp with datatype empno,name,photo_id(long raw) . i want to store image in table for each record.
I need to generate a single excel file which each department details in seperate sheets of the excel file, each sheet should ne named with department no (ex :Dept_10, Dept_20,Dept_30) and the main excel should be named as Emp_details.
Header row and total row should be in bold.I have created 3 individual excels thru toad and moved them to single excel and renamed the sheets.
Can we programatically do this thru SQL or PL/SQL, does Oracle provide any build packages for excel.As excel files cannot be uploaded,I am unable to upload the excel file I generated manually.

I have a field that contains many part numbers. There can be 2 or more part numbers in the field separated by a space. How can this be dynamically read so you can compare the contents in the where clause to what you are search for? Example Part Numbers in the field: 1X 2X 3X 4Y 5Y 7Y

I need to select a count of records where a field (call it widget) is the same, so i need all records where widgets are distinct. So it would be like asking for a distinct in a where clause. Not having much SQL experience this is a difficulty for me.
lets see .. so a count of records where widget = widget or something along those lines.

I want to select the ids only one time, i.e my output will have only two rows: one row with id as 1 and other row with id 2 whatever be the description.

This selection produces some lines of output (in my case i.e. like 300). What I want to see is only that much lines that the condition 'sum of all items listed below meng_4<=sum of all items meng_4 of the whole selection * 0.9' is fulfilled.
So, if the whole selection produces a total of 10000 as sum for all items meng_4, I want to see only that amount of rows that sums a total of at least 9000 for all items meng_4. I hope, this specification is exactly enough to understand my intent.
I have two control block i.e. class_register and student_info. In which student_info is multi-record block which contains stud_id, stud_name, stud_roll_no. Based on the class_register block, stud_id and stud_name is generated in the student_info table. Now I want to generate stud_roll_no automatically until the last record is present.
I have more 100 partition in a table, I would like to query 10 partitions alone in single statement, Hope it could be possible like query data for single partitions, provide the syntax for the same.
Because if I try to query for all the partition then the query is Hanging due to the large no of data, then I can query single partition by partition then it takes more than a day. so, I would like query data for 10 partition in a single select.
