Aug 30, 2012Is it possible to write a trigger to store the session detail in a table, only if any session deletes more than 10 records on particular tables?

Form Trigger - Master And Detail Block
Dec 9, 2008I have a Oracle Form which has 2 blocks, master and Detail.I have a pre-Insert Trigger on master block which has a sequence that acts as the id of the primary key column. Now, when I populate the master block and dont save then go to detail block and save(after populating detail block's data) it gives me an error that can not insert null into detail block foreign key column.I understand that his is happening because in the above scenario pre-insert is not firing for the master block.Am I writing the the sequence generation code in a wrong trigger?

Mar 14, 2013On a form I have 2 blocks, shown on different tabs. Relation created by forms wizard. The relation works great when navigating through the blocks, the details for the master are shown fine.
Example for this form is master block is a type of food. Detail block is list of ingredients.When creating a new type of food, if it's = CAKE we insert records based on a select on another table into the ingredients table.Else, the user has to manually create the ingredients.
Upon commit of the form on master block (must be saved to enable detail block tab), the ingredients are not displayed but are there. If I execute query by hitting F8, the records are present.
Why is the populate-details trigger not being fired or what am I missing?

my problem is ...i want 3 columns from master table (i.e)RECEIVER ID,RECEIVER NAME and RECEIVE DATE to be printed at the bottom of the page.
and also i want only 4 records from detail table to be printed on each page.

I have Attached calender to two feild...and calender is the different block... In Detail block when_record_instance i handled the;; From date=previous to-date +1;
but when i double click the feild calender is open and when_new_record trigger is fired agian. calender called ...the when_new_record is not callled .....

To do so, I need to first find the item in detail page, details of which are not available in page definitions. I can see all the items of master form but none for detail form in "Page Rendering" section.

Feb 1, 2013I have create Master block and a Detail block.When i am clicking on the Master block, then details records are displaying.But when i m moving from 1st record of detail block to 2nd record of master block, then detail block's data is not not displaying.It just firing the validation of detail block's first field.
when from Detail block (Cursor on the field Mapping code field) clicking on the 2nd records i.e Ord.No. =2 , at that time validation is getting fired.)

Sep 4, 2010I'm using few cursors to update my data and store it back to the same table. But for some reason the cursor seems to be picking obsolete data.

But in my debugging table i see that its deleting roles present as input for first cursor, whereas it should actually pick data with suffix_roles.

When I execute the query, it returns the data (approx - 40,000 rows) in 1 min.But when I try to insert this data into another table (or create a table of this data) it takes me about 2 hours.
Tried using Materialized view, its again the same the refresh takes 2 hours.Basically here, what I am trying to do is the data from the above query is used to update the values in another table.What ever the procedure I am trying it takes 2 hours.

This is for a RAC database and locked record can be from the web form in oracle application server. When I try to get the correct row id, I get the following error:
ORA-01410 - Invalid row id For the criteria, the output is Dbms_Rowid.rowid_create(1, -1, 36, 7845, 0), why I get a -1 for the ROW_WAIT_OBJ#?
Additional Information: The lock type is DML and the lock mode is: Row Exclusive, the table is locked and the program is web oracle forms executing.
I am executing the query in Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0

Apr 16, 2013I have all my tables populated but for one table in particular everytime i shut down the command prompt the rows i created erase themselves. Even when i try to bring up that same table in TOAD while the command prompt is still open all the other tables besides that one in particular wont show my rows. What is going on? I was previously messing with some functions and triggers for that table but i can't remember what exactly I was trying to do. Could that have something to do with it?
