SQL & PL/SQL :: Finding Function In Oracle Which Removes All HTML Tags?

is there any function in oracle which removes all HTML tags . our web pages uses rich text editor, when user enters text into editorand saves it, the database will have text with formatting ie all html tags. this works fine as long we display this text in web pages , but some time we have to provide reports to user just by running sql and ouptut in excel, in this case I want to strip out all html tags within the text .there is any function which can strip all HTML tags?

The "HAVING" statement from the query below removes all rows where the "name" field starts with "Port" and it removes all rows where count is less than 11. What I want is to removes all rows where the "name" field starts with "Port" and the count for that row is less than 11.

We have an Oracle UCM and Oracle SES implementation.Currently there are too many tags returned for certain keywords by SES which breaks the UI,some of the tags being irrelevant too.Is there any configuration variable in SES by which these tags can be limited to say 20 most relevant tags.?

Am trying to send email from Oracle using utl_smtp.
My issue is regarding Arabic character. I set the charset to windows-1256 and even tried with other different charset like UTF-8.
I used also: utl_smtp.write_raw_data(l_connection,utl_raw.cast_to_raw(dbms_lob.substr(data).
Before i set all these changes to the procedure i was receiving the Arabic text as '??????'
However, after above modifications, the text display changed to something like this : ÇäÇÓààååÑêå
Does the problem still in the DB side or it can be coming from mail server ?

I want to send the mail as HTML format in oracle.
The email message column is in clob datatype .
if i click the column it shows the text output(various tags ,symbols)
if i click the HTML it shows the correct format .,
i m sending the mail using that message column .,the mail Received with the text format ,actually i need it in the html format., How to send HTML output?

how to change base html page for Oracle Forms. I use Weblogic Server. Base html page - I mean this common for all forms as a background html page with "Oracle Fusion Middleware" text. I was looking something about this and I found that it is theoretically possible, but all traces reached me to the <Oracle_Home_path>forms/java directory which have only jars, with .class files.

i need to retrieve html using oracle and setting the correct user agent.I used the ut_http package and his fuction utl_http.request_pages.
I worked perfectly for me, execpt that i could be able to setup the correct user-agent.I read the documentation and i found that this instruction utl_http.set_header(req, 'User-Agent', 'Mozilla/4.0'); should fix my problem, but when i used it, nothing changed and the webserver didn't recognize the correct user agent.
I post downhere a piece of the pl-sql procedure i made (it seems that i could find the correct "link" between utl_http.set_header instruction and utl_http.request_pieces instruction)

I am running TOAD 10.6 on Windows 7 (64-bit). I have two 64-bit Oracle 11g clients installed (all on the same machine). The first is Instant Client (client_1); the second is the Runtime client (client_2). The installation of Instant Client was a mistake, since it doesn't have a Network / Admin folder to drop a tnsnames.ora file into. The Runtime client is my desired client, which has the aforementioned folder that I subsequently dropped the file into.
On starting TOAD, it says that "No valid Oracle Client found. Please note that Toad only supports 32 bit Oracle Client installations". (This is odd, since my colleague is running the same Oracle Runtime client as me and has TOAD 11.6, and yet his is working fine. But, this is aside the point.) When, I click on the ellipsis button next to the "Connecting Using" field, TOAD says that I don't have any Oracle homes installed. I checked my registry key (via regedit) under Computer / HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / ORACLE. It looks like I have 2 Oracle homes (because of the 2 clients).
Also, I right-clicked on My Computer and brought up Properties, Advanced system settings, Environment Variables (on the Advanced tab). My PATH variable has both of my clients.
How to make my available clients (particularly, my client_2) show up in TOAD?
Here is what I have tried thus far:
-Alter the PATH variable to just have client_2. This didn't do anything.
-Try to uninstall client_1 and client_2 via:
a) There is a Universal Installer under Oracle Installation Products in my Runtime client. I do Deinstall Products, click on any of my Oracle homes, click on Remove, and a Warning window pops up saying to run a command at some location, but the location is truncated since I can't expand the window.
b) In my client_2, there is a deinstall Windows Batch File in the deinstall folder. When I run this, the command window sits there for a little bit, saying that some files were copied and that 1 directory was removed. It then closes on its own. This doesn't seem to do anything.

i'm using db and forms 10g. i want the output of the form to be embedded within a simple html page. lets say i want the html page to be divided into three frames. the uppermost horizontal frame will hold a banner (say). the left vertical frame will hold some advertisement (say).
(1) now the rest of the page will be covered by the third frame in which the fmx's will run.
(2) i want the login.fmx (startup form) to show up first instead of the servlet. infact the servlet should not show up at all.

I am trying to insert complex HTML into a CLOB value in an Oracle table and keep running into various issues. The ORA errors I get include 0734, 0042 and 0552. The HTML I am inserting includes characters such as &, ', and *.
Here is an example of the SQL I am trying to run:

I basically get it how to insert selected records from html to table by converting into the xml format [URL] (Barbara and Michel know what Im talking about).
But now I cant get the hang of convert one html site where are a very usefull information for my job.

I am working on a procedure which will insert a concatenated field that will have HTML code and a paramater value into a procedure. For some reason I am having issues inserting the HTML code into the local variable for process. I am not getting an error but instead the insert is not including the value in the variable when code when it runs. Do I need to enclose anything around the HTML to make this work?

I am using lag function to display values like below:

the data displays correctly when i use lag function except that the line 1 details are never getting displayed ie first line under every order does not get displayed? is using lag function in this case correct?
