SQL & PL/SQL :: Want To Show Data Quarterly

i want to show data quarterly.My quarter structure is 3 mOnths.
q1 - apr-2013 to jun-2013
q2 - jul-2013 to sep-2013
q3 - oct-2013 to dec-2013
q4 - jan-2014 to apr-2014
I input parameter is from date and to date..
Suppose user enter from date - '01-apr-2012' and to date - '01-aug-2012',
only q1 shows..
and user enter from date - '01-apr-2012' and to date - '30-sep-2012',
only q1,q2 shows..
how i do that..My data is like this
create table t1( t1_month VARCHAR2(10),
t1_val1 number(10),
t1_val2 NUmber(10)

I have a complex requirement to be resolved, i have one table of quantities from where i want to show or select the data based on 2 criteria.
1) if the ps_qty is greater than 1000 then there should be two lines , like the qty should not be displayed greater than 1000, instead it should be lesser than 1000.
2) The weight should not be more than 50,000, it should be less than 50000 if its more it should be displayed as 2 lines.
The following is the test case.
CREATE TABLE OW_STAG_SHIP (PS_CODE VARCHAR2(12),PS_DESC VARCHAR2(30),PS_QTY NUMBER,PS_WT NUMBER);
INSERT INTO OW_STAG_SHIP VALUES ('A','AAA',400,30000); -- this will be displayed as its because qty and wt are ok
INSERT INTO OW_STAG_SHIP VALUES ('B','BBB',1100,4000); --Need to be displaed in two lines as qty is more than 1000
INSERT INTO OW_STAG_SHIP VALUES ('C','CCC',2500,6000); --Need to be displayed in three lines as qty is more

case 2: when I write something in the field- FRM-40209: Field must be of form.

the point is that I have a table with two columns and I am trying to find and easy way to show grouped data.
CREATE TABLE TEST_DATA(C1 VARCHAR2(1), C2 VARCHAR2(2));
INSERT INTO TEST_DATA VALUES('1','A1');
INSERT INTO TEST_DATA VALUES('1','A2');
INSERT INTO TEST_DATA VALUES('1','A3');

With the sample data there are 4 groups based in c1 column:
1 : A1,A2,A3
2 : A1,A2,A4
3 : A1,A2,A3
4 : A1,A2,A4
5 : A6,A7
I'm trying to get and output like :
A1,A2,A3 : 1,3
A1,A2,A4 : 2,4
I was trying something like :
select t1.c1 as gr1, t2.c1 as gr2, t1.c2
from test_data t1,test_data t2
where t1.c1<>t2.c1 and t1.c2=t2.c2
and
(select count(*) from test_data t3 where t3.c1=t1.c1)=
(select count(*) from test_data t4 where t4.c1=t2.c1)
order by 1 asc, 2 asc
but I don't find the way to refilter to group the data as expected. The idea is find subsets and show the set of data and values in column c1.

I have table t1 and (a1,a2,a3) are columns
I have this query

It's alternative is unpivot, but internally it calls table multiple times. I want a way, where I want the same output but calling the table only once.

The following query is used to generate a flash chart:
select null link
'Available' as "Available",
to_number(max_licenses - consumed_licenses)
from software_detail
where capture_date = trim(GET_CAPTURE_DATE)
and software_product = :p1
and software version = :p2
[code].....
But the 2d doughnut flash chart shows:
Available = 39
Consumed = 1
How is this possible?
Oracle 11.2.0.3 RAC on Windows 2008 R2
APEX 4.2.1.00.0 with Apex Listener 2.0 on Apache Tomcat 6.

I have recently configure Data guard with Database 10g (10.2.0.4-64 bits) on Windows 2007 server.My Data Gurad Configuration show Success status with 2 databases on same (or local) location.My questions are
1-When I query SHOW PARAMETER LOG ARCH
DG_CONFIG(PRMDB)
ONLY 1 (PRIMARY DATABASE IS DISPLAYED ONLY NOT 2 DTATABASES
e.g. DG_CONFIG(PRMDB, STLDB)
2- How to check the log applied interval or time (either transaction by transaction, timing etc)

Recently i created a form which contains emp_name,deptno,supervisor_name.For emp_name if i type the emp name (eg:allen) it will show me a list of employees named allen as a select list.For that i used a jquery script on page header

and i have created a dynamic action for emp name to fetch the deptno,supervisor_name if select the employee name it is working fine is if i type a emp_name which doesn't exist in the employee table it will show me a alert message employee does not exist and it will clears all the fields.

When running my query in sql developer, I have to execute the command apps.fnd_global.apps_initialize(user_id, resp_id, resp_appl_id) in order to show the result of my query. Without this, the query returns nothing. The problem is I am using this query as a custom query for my Discoverer report and my report does not show any record.

I have a requirement where I have a value stored in varchar2(12), and no matter what the size of data, I should mask all the characters except the last 4
eg: - 23115645
after masking should be - xxxx5645,
create table test1(x varchar2(12))
insert into test1 values('34567745')

insert into test1 values('438765311')

insert into test1 values('1112345')

y should store value of x in such a way that no matter what the size of x is (7 characters or 9), we should see only the last 4, but the remaining should be masked with xxxx
I tried the above update, but using substr, i am able to get this if x has 9 characters
not sure how to achieve this if x has 7, or 4 characters

MyTable has missing records:
id_group id_column

As you see, it could be missed record 4,6,7 and 8 of group 1 and record 3 and 5 of group 2. That's is an example.
I need to show all sequential records, incluing missing ones, like this:

I am getting a following odd result where the same a Job could be linked to multiple enquiries. What I want it to show is just one job if its linked to multiple enquiries. I show you some sample result:I wrote the following SQL for it:

Is there anything you would add so that it shows just a unique job number where the job has multiple enquiries linked to it? I tried putting SELECT DISTINCT but that did not work.
