SQL & PL/SQL :: Error With Execute Immediate To Pass Db_link To Stored Procedure?

I have the following error when I try to pass a Procedure parameter carrying db_link name to a stored procedure:
SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE AFESD.P_DM_VCONTRACT_ITEM (CON_CONNECTION VARCHAR2)
2 IS
3 T_CONNECTION VARCHAR2(50);
4 T_SQL VARCHAR2(500);
5 BEGIN
6 T_CONNECTION := 'X_DM_TEST@' || CON_CONNECTION;
[code]....
The insert statement succeeds when I try to run DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line output.

I am passing a string from vb.net through oracle store procedure. String consists of varchar values for eg '123456;I|N,2424424;O|A'. But how can i call these string values into array using oracle stored procedure? After getting these values into array , i wanted to loop through these values.

I have created a stored procedure that checks if a file exists and gets a date from the file if it exists. The date is then used as a paramter. See below:
CODEcreate or replace
PROCEDURE "P_Load_Stamp" AS
v_exists BOOLEAN;
v_length NUMBER;
v_blocksize NUMBER;

The above codes works perfectly and I scheduled it using SQLPLUS as follows:
CODEvariable jobno number;
variable instno number;

select instance_number into :instno from v$instance;
[code]...
My problem is that I need to pass the date from the above procedure as a parameter to another stored procedure. So I modified my code as follows (the parts in red):
CODEcreate or replace
PROCEDURE "P_Load_Stamp" (vCTIDATE OUT varchar2) AS
v_exists BOOLEAN;
v_length NUMBER;
[code]...
Now it doesn't strike me as a rights issue since I created it in the schem schema. What could I be doing wrong here?

i have a stored procedure whose input parameter is a varchar2 datatype.i created this procedure for an interface and tibco would be calling my procedure by passing input parameters.my problem is when there is a input string with & (ambersand) then its not working.
even i tried to pass the parameter with & in TOAD, it asks me to enter value for string.look at the sample code below which i wrote for testing purpose:
procedure is:
create or replace procedure testproc(p_in in varchar2)
is
begin
null;
end;
i pass parameter as given below:
begin
testproc('abc & def');
end;
if i run above script, it asks me to input some string value as it sees & in the string. attached is the image that shows up in TOAD. if i run below script it works. but i dont know how many &'s will be there in the input parameter. hence i cant do. and also TIBCO cant modify the input paramter while calling the procedure.

testproc('abc &'||'def');

Requirement is to build procedure where it has 10-12 input variables but some of them (input variables) may at times be NULL.Based on this, i thought of getting into EXECUTE IMMEDIATE but this would just return rows i mean DML stmt for EXECUTE IMMEDIATE.Also, on the requirment is all parameters are present then result set be based on range on start and end date.

To keep things simple: lets say that this is my procedure:

how would i be able to execute this from with in sqlTools to see the result ??? i have tried everything...

I just started to play with this system and don't understand how to execute the the stored procedure (that creates report) from the APEX page. I know that they have sample documentation and java script call (show below):

I have wrote a Stored Procedure Function that get all the rows from a Staging Table and assigns it to a CLOB and returns the CLOB. The issue is I'm getting the dreaded
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
ORA-06512: at "F_CLOB_TEST", line 21
ORA-06512: at line 7
The error does not occur when I remove the 'PRC_ID', 'S_FIL_NAME' & 'exportDt' from the query. It works fine. The PRC_ID has data such as "700$702$7 05$706$707$708$709$710$711$712$713$714$715$294404$294405$294407$294408$294409$294410"
and S_FIL_NAM is the same for all columns - "SBENE_FILID810-2010-04-07-10.59.17"
The query returns 829 rows. Also I have to include a few more columns in the query which have data larger than the 'PRC_ID', but I have not included them here in the sample code, as this code by itself returns the ORA-6502 error.

I have this stored procedure that does implements some business logic and then sends an email.
I got the below error when it tried to send the email

I have a update statement that works fine when its run in SQL window but when i try it as part of a Stored Procedure its giving me the Insufficient privileges error on that table.
If i dont have privilege to update that table wont it not let me update while doing it outside the stored procedure as well?

I have written a stored procedure that has started returning the error:
Error starting at line 1 in command:

Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
ORA-06512: at "CLARITY.P_GLPOST", line 173

I can't seem to find a tool that will let me step into the actual stored procedure line by line to see where the error occurs. It mentions line 173, which seems to be a red-herring, as line 173 is simply one of the 'END IF' lines within this block:

I am trying to perform a dml operation(insert) to insert data into a table. I created a procedure in which a insert statement is generated. In another procedure I am trying to execute this auto generated statement using execute immediate. For that I created 2 variables . First one contain the insert statement and other one contain the list of columns. I m passing these strings to execute immediate like this
Execute Immediate(v_query) using(v_col_list)
after execution i m getting the following error
ORA-01008: not all variables bound
ORA-06512": at ' db_name.load_data' , line no 217
but when i tried it with list of column into using clause it is working like
Execute Immediate(v_query) using col1,col2,col3
I have more than 150 tables in the schema and i am creating a single procedure to load the data into base tables by using external tables. By passing the table name to procedure it generates the update and insert statements but i am getting error while executing the statements with dynamic sql.
