I've configure TAF and Load Banalcing, both of server side some days ago. And now, I find Node 2 is accessed more than node 1. I upload some images here, anything you need to clarify information more, I can give.
configure correctly my application, Oracle is version 11R1
My physical configuration is :
Site 1 (main building) database on cluster : server1, server2 database : BASE1 available
Site2 (Backup Site) database on cluster : server3, server4 database : DGBASE1 not available for users (dataguard)
I want to acces BASE1 first in load balancing server1,2 (normal usage) and DGBASE1 in load balancing server3,4 in case of failover after 5 retries of 10 secondes (in case of main buiding out of order, DGBASE1 will be available for users)
My trouble is that with this configuration, access it randomly BASE1 or DGBASE1 but DGBASE1 is not available for users then I have failure
What could be the right configuration to obtain BASE1 first in load balancing (normal usage) and DGBASE1 in load balancing in case of failover of the BASE1 after 5 retries of 10 secondes ?
Here i am displaying the multiplication tables by given number...the problem is the tables are displaying one after another...i need to print it by side by side like..
How do I update Table2(idno) with values of Table1(idno)? By the way there are other columns which i do not want to be touched. This is just to create a match parent-child table test data.
Example:
Table1
idno === 100 101 102 103
Table2
idno === any no any no any no any no
I want all idno values in Table2 to be identical with Table1. It can be any order as long as the value is 1 to 1. I just want it populated for test data purposes.
We are on oracle 11.2.0.2 on Solaris 10. I dont have acces to the db server but connect to the db from the client side using sqlplus. though I have dba privilege (at oracle level) but no access to db server at os level. I also dont have access to enterprise manager console where such information is available.
I want to set up monitoring so that I can get a mail when the space falls below some threshold like say tablespace is 90% full. Is it possible to get mail from pl/sql script for example?
I'm using Oracle8i, with VB6 as front end When i try to connect Oracle using RDO in VB i get an error message from Oracle It is S1000:Oracle ODBC.ora Ora:1043 User Side Memory Corruption.
working on setting up connection between a Windows 2008 server and a pair of Oracle 11g DBs in a RAC Cluster. One Database (let's say DatabaseA) is in one data center, and the other (DatabaseB) is an a secondary, backup database. The RAC Cluster is all set up, working fine, etc. However, I Need to set up the machine.config file on my Windows Server, to go only connect to DatabaseA, unless it fails, in which case, we want it to connect to DatabaseB. Think we could do this if the host app server was Linux/Unix, but it is windows, and I just don't have the background as to the parameters to set up in the machine.config file. They are similar, but different, and we want a very specific behavior (use DatabaseA, unless fails, then DatabaseB). Application is .NET 4.0 app.
I want to load geometry into a table using sql*loader. My datafile contains geometry defined as WKT URL...., a standard for geometry and also Oracle has a function called sdo_util.from_wktgeometry.If I'm using a separate 'insert into' statement using this function in sql*plus, there's no problem. But if I'm using the same function in my control-file for sql*loader import, I get a sql*loader-418 error: "bad datafile for column geometrie".
How to get ill-formatted data into Oracle table? I'm trying to load a large amount of data that is not arranged into neat columns and doesn't have proper record delimiters.
I'd like to use sql loader but I don't think that will work with unstructured data. I'm reading that perhaps using an external table would be the best way to do it. It's sample census data and I've attached a single record to look at.
I Have one csv file.i want to load to a table trough sql*loader.but in table 3 column is there.but in the csv file some record hav one semicolumn in last filed like this
I want to load data from LST file. The data format and control file is given below. It is loading the 1st line only. it is not loading the other lines. pls let me know what needs to be added in the control file to load this data?

I want to load data into more tables from many files ,based on first column value, which is FILLER field.i am trying to test this scenario with two oracle tables with similar definition. and load one record on each table using WHEN/POSITION keywords. for this , i added first column as reference column in the data which i have in ctl file itself.
1st table loaded with 1st record. But, 2nd record not loading.if i missed anything with WHEN/POSITION keyword ?
This is the error in log file for 2nd table(WD1):
Record 2: Rejected - Error on table WD1, column TAB. ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0
Table WD1: 0 Rows successfully loaded. 1 Row not loaded due to data errors. 1 Row not loaded because all WHEN clauses were failed. 0 Rows not loaded because all fields were null. [code]....
I need few clarifications regarding oracle wallet.
db version: 11.2.0.3.2 (Enterprise Edition)
We have a requirement to run shell scripts calling stored procedures for specific activities, which are run on database server. We do not want to store passwords in shell scripts and decided to use Secure External Password Store for hiding passwords instead of os authentication method. need few clarifications on the below.
1) Currently, we are creating oracle wallet entry on db server and making modifications in sqlnet.ora file accordingly. Is it good to use like this or we should do this only on a client machine? 2) Do we need any licensing to use this option? 3) Any knows issues with using oracle wallet? 4) Can we use orapki for creating oracle wallet instead of mkstore? 5) Any knows issues we face during startup and shutdown of db activities?
Every time interconnect IP ping failed between RAC servers,CRS causing reboot to the server. As documented,it is of 3 sec. Can we alter this setting to increase the ping failed (private IP) by more than 3secs.
