Workflow :: Custom AWE Line Level Approval?

Jul 25, 2013

creating custom AWE Line Level Approval? I’m having trouble trying to get the method for line approval to fire. I have header level working so I decided to dig deeper. I added the line keys to the Xref table, Updated the Registry, Configured the Events, and created a new Process Definition using line level (very simple “Always True”). I have seen OnProcessLaunch fire so my routing has begun.

The graphics look good. But when my approver goes in and hits the Approve button, it saves and nothing happens to the approval. Tracing it shows that no methods are firing. How does the system know to fire the line level method vs the header level method?

Spatial :: Convert Multi-line To Simple Line

Feb 13, 2013

Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0

We are processing spatial data from another source to display in our GIS environment. The data is a set of multi lines. The gtype is 2006. A typical geometry looks like:

SDO_GTYPE     2006
SDO_SRID      31370
SDO_POINT.X   NULL
SDO_POINT.Y   NULL
SDO_POINT.Z   NULL
SDO_ELEM_INFO (1,2,1, 7,2,1)
SDO_ORDINATES (105094.84, 195084.96,
105094.54, 195080.22,
105094.84, 195084.96,
105094.84, 195084.96,
105094.68, 195082.47 )

Now, this is not an actual multiline... it's just encoded as a multi line, but if you look at the coordinates you'll see that the end point of the first line is the same as the beginning of the second line (105094.84, 195084.96).

A better way to encode this geometry would be:

SDO_GTYPE     2002 <---
SDO_SRID      31370
SDO_POINT.X   NULL
SDO_POINT.Y   NULL
SDO_POINT.Z   NULL
SDO_ELEM_INFO (1,2,1)
SDO_ORDINATES (105094.84, 195084.96,
105094.54, 195080.22,
105094.84, 195084.96, <---
105094.68, 195082.47 )

Is there a standard function in Oracle that does this conversion for me? Or do I have to write my own :)

Forms :: Blank Line Getting Generated On Save Button

May 31, 2013

I am working on Oracle forms 6i. I am getting a problem when I am trying to save the value in the form.

Well the scenario is like this:

I have got a multi record block. In that block there are two items jobno and inoivce no. Both the items have an LOV attached to them giving jobnos and invoice nos respectively.

This is on the '*ORIGINAL_BLOCK*'.

The problem perists with the jobno field. In the LOV for jobno, the 'column mapping properties' property, the return item section has original_block.jobno as the value. The code to fetch the details about the jobno (like vendor no,vendor site,invoice no etc) has been written on the When-Validate-Item trigger. I am also updating the WHO colums(like created by,created date,last upated by, last update date) on the Pre-Insert trigger at the block level. This whole thing of fetching the records is working fine. But when I simply press the save button an extra blank line gets generated on the form as well as at back end with jobno like this:

Sr.noJOBNO vendor_no vendor_name invoice_noinvoice_date
1 123 37456 abc 4564565 26-APR-2013 --- correct entry
2 123 8574 xyz 645656 26-JAN-2013 --- correct entry
3 123 --- --- --- --- unrequired blank entry

A same jobno can have multiple number of invoices. So the lines getting generated are - number of lines + 1(unrequired entry).As in the above scenario there are only 2 invoices for the same job and a third unrequired entry getting generated. If there are 3 invoices I get 4 lines (3 required + 1 unrequired blank entry).

So to solve this issue I added a button 'Add JOB'. I took another '*NEW_BLOCK*',designed another canvas and and added an item on it containing a dummy jobno field and attached an LOV to that item. Then the same When-Validate-Trigger to that item fetching the details. so when I press the button 'Add JOB' using show_canvas and go_item(dummy_job_item) I navigate to that new canvas, select the jobno there from LOV, fetch the details. Now I wrote execute_query on KEY-EXIT of the NEW_BLOCK so that whatever are the fetched details, they would go on the ORIGINAL_BLOCK.jobno and respective details in resp fields. But this did not work.So I wrote execute_query on the When-New-Block-Instance of the ORIGINAL_BLOCK and it worked.

But now what is happening is when I open the form once again after closing the form, all the back end data is appearing on the form i.e. when I open a new form session every time. But I want the form to be clear with no entries displayed whenever I open the form. I understand the question is lengthy and tricky.

Forms :: Make A Field As Mandatory At Current Record Level

May 27, 2010

I have one requirement i.e i want to make a particular item as mandatory for the current record in the tabular form.

so i have written code as below:

DECLARE
lv_item item;
BEGIN
lv_item := FIND_ITEM ('XXMZ_DETAIL.QTY_ACT');
SET_ITEM_INSTANCE_PROPERTY (lv_item,
current_record,
required,
property_true);
END;

This code is not effecting qty field. If i write set_item_property built-in that item becomes mandatory.But it's not effecting at current record level.It's effecting block level.

So how can i make a field as mandatory at current record level?

Forms :: Restrict User To Enter Serial Numbers Of Product In 3 Level Block

Apr 24, 2012

I have a sale invoice form with 3 data blocks.

Data block 1- master_blk : For date/customer of sale invoice
Data block 2- detail_blk1 (detail of the master block - For products and qty)
Data block 3- detail_blk2 (detail of DETAIL_BLK1 For entering serial numbers of products)

My requirement is that whatever quantity user enter in data block 2 against each product he must enter equal number of serial numbers of that product in data block 3.

For this I have created on item (cnt_iteml : to count product's serial numbers in block3 ) in data block 2, and on summary item (t_serial_no ) in block3.

Whenever user changes in quantity, cnt_iteml: item is populated with t_serial_no in block3 of that product by following trigger on quantity column.

POST-Change Trigger ( quantity column )

:stock_transactions.cnt_itl:=:serial_numbers.t_serial_no;

Following trigger is written on block level at data block-3 to populate cnt_iteml with t_serial_no.
PRE-RECORD

IF GET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('SERIAL_NUMBERS',STATUS) IN ('CHANGED') THEN
:stock_transactions.cnt_itl:=:serial_numbers.t_serial_no;
END IF;

Above triggers are fulfilling my requirement except following condition.

If user after entering serial numbers in block 3 and without saving goes back to block2 and try to navigate to another record he gets a message asking him to save changes by forms. At this time if user presses no then cnt_itl item is not been populated with t_serial_no item's value.

What I want in above condition is that if user was inserting new record cnt_it item should be populated with 0, so that he shouldn't be able to save this record. And If he was updating then cnt_itl item should be populated with actual no of records in database against that product.
