My aim is to display the missing itemnames for each itemcode.
For each ITEM_CODE there should be four items i.e Pen,Pencil,Scale and Marker If any itemcode missed any of the itemnames those records should display in the output.
So the output should be like this
101 Marker Because the item Marker is missed.
102 Pencil Because the items Pencil and Marker are missed.
102 Marker Because the items Pencil and Marker are missed.
For itemcode 103 no records should be displayed because it having all four itemnames.

Feb 11, 2011We have an application that uses Oracle Forms 9i AS R2 that has been running happily for many years. There are two servers that run the client side application and provide the users with access to a single database. Two weeks ago one of the two servers started expperiencing issues, then yesterday the second server started experiencing issues also. The problem appears to relate to the Java component of the service. Typically what happens is that the user runs a batch file that starts the following java command:

This should start a service that listens for connections on port 8888. Internet Explorer then fires up and establishes a connection to the listening port. Unfortunately we never get that far. We receive the following error and the Java service never starts so the IE conection fails to connect to the service on port 8888. unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.

Aug 23, 2013I have used a template to create a form which has 3 below tables / blocks in the form:
1.'OIFC_INV_DEVICE_TYPES'
2.'OIFC_INV_SECTIONS'
3.'OIFC_INV_DEVICE_MASTER'
The 1st 2 tables are used only to fetch values through a LOV and no insert happen during save and the 3rd has initial values defined and has to insert these values while click on the save (when button pressed trigger) button which has the below pasted code, but no error is thrown and neither the record is inserted,

The code works fine if i change the "report_desttype" to FILE or CACHE and give a local path "REPORT_DESNAME" like "/home/ oracle/ desktop/ barcode.pdf"
Secondly, My oracle application server is running on oracle linux 5.0
Thirdly, I defined network printer(model:XeroxPhaser3435) over ipp which path is "ipp://192.168.200.22" and name is "P3435" also default printer for oracle user and printer works i can get test page.
I wonder is printer path correct?("ipp://192.168.200.22/operatorbarcode"). I think the problem occurs in this step also is there any extra settings for oracle application server to use network printer...When I look at the reports server jobs it give an error "Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output".

The problem is an issue of Loyalty Cards of a Hotel and Restaurant to various customers and then these cards will be presented by the customers time to time in the Hotel as well as Restaurant. The Owner of the Hotel and Restaurant wants to generate separate barcode for each card and when this card will be presented then the bar code reader will readout the code and the system will calculate the amount of discount/rebate. Because if the data entry operator enter the code of the card through key board the it will be a chance of leakage or misuse of that card.

May 30, 2012I have to compare my SVN source code (packages, views etc) with the production code in the database like views etc (actually we are not sure that what we have in the svn is the final version of production code, we have objects created in the production database, but we don't have latest scripts for that. we have to deploy the svn code in the UNIX box).
So here the comparison is between the OS files and the database objects.
I thought I would get scripts of all the packages, views etc from the production database by using DBMS_METADATA or some utility and save the code in OS files then compare one svn file with OS file manually by using some comparison tools e.g toad provide one comparison tool.

Feb 13, 2012I downloaded oracle sql developer, i type my code into a worksheet but if i use the run statement option, it asks me to make a connection. I dont want to make a connection, just test the data locally.However, even if I do try and make a connection, i get ora-12560 error (local connection).
I just want to type up some data to make some table and test to retrieve or manipulate the data. I'll use any program, command line or gui.

I installed first the Oracle Developer v6.0.8.11 and after that, the v6.0.8.27 Patch 18.I also reinstall all Oracle again and nothing.

am in form1 , i call form 2 from a menu, after this call form2 is open in place of form1.
i have no control in form1 and i can't change anything on it, i don't know hw the menu option is calling form2.the only control i have will be within form2 if there is any change i can make it.i read something about MDI, and OPEN_FORM() procedure, but i think this will required a change in form1 which i can't do.
is there any change i can make in form2 to display it and keep the display of form1 at the same time behind it ?

I use the cursor for loop but since it fecthes all the records in one go it cannot display one record at the time in the form..
