I want if user is working on forms application which is build in forms 6i with oracle 10g database , as soon as time reached to 5PM it automatically log off. and won't allowed to log in after 5 PM. How to do that
We are using Oracle Forms 6i and back-end as Oracle 10g Database. We are facing a specific problem while working with Forms6i. I am giving the steps as showm below:
1. We have a table named TEST (a number not null, b char(1) not null). 2. When we insert a record throuhg SQL*PLUS like this: insert into test values (1, ' '). The record is inserted in the table TEST successfully. 3. We checked the length of column b i.e. select length(b) from test, it is showing 1. This is the correct value because it has inserted a space in column 'b' of the table TEST. (That's what we want). 4. We created a form having data-block from table TEST and trying to insert the same record throuhg Forms9i. 5. There it gives an error of "Unable to INSERT record" becuase in form builder, it is trimming the spaces for column 'b' automatically and making it NULL. Since the column 'b' defined as NOT NULL in table TEST, hence generating the error. (Basically there in form builder, it is generating ORA-01400 error which is can not insert NULL value in NOT NULL column).
We would like to know why in form builder, space is automatically being trimmed to NULL..? We do not want this to happen. We want space to be inserted as space only. How can i implement this case, becuase we need this kind of functionality in our form builder application.
This works fine. All I want to do now and I don't know why (because I am quite new in Oracle development) is, to make one trigger that will choose automaticly wich video to play and if it is possible to make when I start the form automaticaly to start that video, if not, it's enough just to choose video automaticaly when I press the button.
I want to a form 10g as image under. Now i want to when item pallet_serial has new information then automatic delivery that information to block under.Example, with this form, i want to deliver information about FROM_LOC, TO_LOC, SEAL_NO, CAR_NO, PALLET_SERIAL... into under block, and after that clear field PALLET_SERIAL for next time input.
I have made an application in forms 6i. Now i want if user can update, or modify the data it will required automatic authentication. Administrator will gives his password then the updation will continue otherwise rollback the transaction.
I m trying to call a process on log out URLIn apex4.1 in authentication scheme we have logout url were we change the page were we need to redirect on logout click
But In apex4.2 under authentication scheme Post-Logout URL
I have given url here like this apex_authentication. logoutp_session _id=&SESSION. &p_app_id=&APP_ID.:117 on this page i have the two process but i m getting error System Unavailable.
I want to make DML process when the user logout :-i do the following steps :-1-I change the url &LOGOUT_URL to another page not the login page like 10 , as wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.logout?p_this_flow=&APP_ID.&p_next_flow_page_sess=&APP_ID.:102- Make tow process in the pageone (on-load before header) to do dml code like this
BEGIN UPDATE SYS_USERS SET ACTION_STATUS = 2 where upper(:p101_username) like upper(USER_NAME); commit; END;and another process after header apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := true; wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.logout( p_this_flow => :APP_ID, p_next_flow_page_sess => :APP_ID ||':101' );
to go to the login pagebut the dml code not executeand when try to login again i have this errorContent-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Set-Cookie: ORA_WWV_APP_100=-1; HttpOnly Location: /apex/f?p=100:101
I have to create a function. I need to find the max last logout date for each agent daily. For example, if an agent logged in for the first time at 9:00 and he logged out at 12:00 and he logged in again in 14:00 and he logged out at 15:00 the time I need my report to show is 15:00. How can I do that?In order to make it easiest for you to understand I am sending you this query:
select a.login as login2, To_Char(max(s.endtime), 'dd/MM/yyyy, HH24:MI:SS') as lastLogout from cti.agent a inner join cti.agentsessionlog s on s.agentid = a.agentid and To_Char(s.endtime) != '31-DEC-99 11.59.59.000000 PM' group by a.login;
This query returns the agent's login and the agent's last logout time. It works fine if I enter a date between but I cannot do that. If a use this query as it is and I try to export a report for 31/5 it shows as lastlogout the logout for 01/06 or 2/06. Is there a function I can use? I have a deadline.
I have an application that I'd like to prevent activity in after a certain time of day, say 3pm. Is there any way I can force logout of all current users and then prevent re-login until 9am the next day (short of deleting all of their login credentials and then recreating them the next morning)?
I am doing my master project on oracle Database. I need to create a PL/SQL script to create user automatecally. Name of the users i am supposed to get from some table (say pr_id of table persons).
I have a table where i have ser_id column, this column has got 200000 records and it get around 10 record every day, i want to apply partition on this table.
I am applying range partition of 5000, How can i create partition automatically for next 5000 records inserted into them
I have a quick question about Automatic Memory Management in 11g. I know that it combines the SGA and PGA components together, but the pga_aggregate_target (in 10g) was a target, rather than a strict limit. In certain circumstances you could (and we have) exceed the pga_ aggregate_ target by quite some way.
If I use AMM, does this enforce a limit on the PGA usage – or if I through enough bind variables at it, can I still exceed the ‘target’?
I have a requirement to generate the AWR report daily between (10AM - 06PM , 10AM - 01PM , 01PM - 10PM) . I have the below script for this . But the issue is this script is working only when i run it two times and before running i have to delete snap_list.lst file.
Version: 10.2, 11.2Platform : Unix, Linux flavours
Question1. From googling , I gather that ASSM ( Automatic Segment Space Management ) is a new method used by Oracle to manage space inside data block. If this is the case, then it should have been named 'Automatic Block Space management' . Right ?
Question2.What was the most notable advantage in your opinion in using ASSM as opposed Manual Segment space management ?
we need to create a materialized view which should do complete refresh at pre determined interval like - 6am,12pm and 4pm every day.
Is it possible to have this option in materialized view?
As of now, I could understand we can do "start with" and "next" option which will schedule refresh with same interval but not with different time interval which I mentioned above.
i have a production database server with 2 node rac. i now have a separate database server for my report db. Now i want to do an automatic export of the production database or a schema in the production database and then import it automatically to the report db immadiately after the export job finishes at a specific time, say 12 midnight everyday. how do i go about this using crontab or any other better solution. my database is 11gr2 and operating system is rhel 5.7.
Those grants were generated automatically by oracle. Is there any way to prevent Oracle to grant them? An external audit-rule tells us not to give any grant directly to user - we always have to use databaseroles.
We have a 2 node rac cluster running on HPUX Itanium platform running oracle rdbms 10.2.0.4 that is currently configured using raw devices for ocr, voting disk, and all of the datafiles. We have a business requirement that is mandating that we have to use TDE tablespace encryption and in order to do so we must now upgrade to 11g.We are in the planning stages for the upgrade process and I am just trying to understand or find out what is going to be the best method to move the data that is currently in the tablespaces on the raw devices over to new tablespaces that will be created within ASM and will be created as TDE encrypted tablespaces?Our database is about 1.8 TB and we have alot of fairly large critical transactional tables that support a 24 x 7 oltp environment that cannot afford downtime.
Quote: If MEMORY_TARGET is set to non zero value: SGA_TARGET, SGA_MAX_SIZE and PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET are set to 0, 60% of memory mentioned in MEMORY_TARGET is allocated to SGA and rest 40% is kept for PGA.
So, I have set: alter system set sga_target=0 scope=spfile; alter system set pga_aggregate_target=0 scope=spfile; alter system set sga_max_size=0 scope=spfile; alter system set memory_max_target=512M scope=spfile; alter system set memory_target=300M scope=spfile;
, and then bounced the instance. After startup, I see:
SQL> startup ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 272027648 bytes Fixed Size 1384012 bytes Variable Size 100663732 bytes Database Buffers 163577856 bytes Redo Buffers 6402048 bytes Database mounted. Database opened. SQL>
But Total System Global Area should't be in that case 60% of memory mentioned in MEMORY_TARGET? Memory mentioned in MEMORY_TARGET was 300M, and 60% of 300M is 180M, which is not 272027648 bytes.
I just want to use automatic memory management, so I've set the other parameters above to 0. My instance is on my local machine, so just for my own personal use.
I have some table spaces manual and others automatic, i just want to know what's the recommended one, to change it to the best way.
How to change Segment Space Management of a tablespace from MANUAL to AUTO? in oracle 10g R2 and also want to know the main difference between Manaul and Automatic Segment Space Management.
Sun Solaris 10, Oracle 11gr2 x86 How are you doing? I am trying to build a test system. I never build ASM before. if I need to install database first then Migrating to ASM? The other problem I am having is that I only have a Raw disk. I have one disk for root and oracle and the other one for Raw disk for ASM. Do you know it's possible to build ASM on 1 raw disk?
