Jan 3, 2013Iam facing another issue with Skillbuilder modal page(for those who have used this plugins). Ive the CREATE part working well the problem is with EDIT part to edit records via the link i applied all the steps and clicking the edit link pops up the page but the issue is for any clicked row the parameter is not being passed and seleceted record doesnt show on the pop up page where could the problem be? though if i set it back to normal link created by the wizard the edit link works well and shows that record on the editable page.
Apex 4.1.1/oracle 11gR2 ; issue happens in FF & IE

Application Express :: Fetch Row With / Without Refreshing Whole Page?
May 29, 2013I would like to create a process that allows me to move from record to record without refreshing a whole page. Specifically, I'd like to use a tree object that allows the user to select items and then have the details for that item show up on the right side of the page. Is there a way to do this without doing a complete page refresh?
So far I've tried two different on-demand processes:
- first I created an "Automatic Row Fetch", but I read on the board that this actually won't work as an on-demand process;
- I also tried a PL/SQL process that sets the various variables (e.g. ":P7_NAME") based on a query. This updated the session state, but it didn't refresh the fields on the page. Is there a way to trigger this refresh?

This all works fine, besides the face that it only works after refreshing the page! The page gets loaded via js: $.mobile.changePage('f?p='+ $v('pFlowId') +':20:' + $v('pInstance') { transition:"slide", reloadPage:true });...
which also works fine so far. That same problem I had before when I was using a dialog instead of the popup. - only showing after refreshing the page.
This certainly must have something to do with how JQM loads and renders the page (besides the APEX-job) - a rather basic issue. I have also tried different ways of calling the page, with no difference to that problem.

Sep 3, 2013I use APEX 4.2.2 and in my page I call a Modal Region to insert a new customer using AIAX and OnDemand PL/SQL process, then I need to set the inserted value into the Popup LOV from javascript. I used the code

The new customer is inserted successfully into the table and the PK value returned to javascript code, but the new value is not displayed into the LOV.

I have button which opens up a pop-up showing a report passing some parameter in URL. The button calls the javascript function defined below:

It all works well but for security I would like to add checksum to arguments in URL. I had a look at the Javascrpt API for Apex and couldn't find any for creating a checksum I can append to the URL.
Is there one that I missed or is it possible to do it by other means?.
Application Express :: Modal Popup Window Hides?
Aug 20, 2012today I stepped upon an issue regarding popup windows.I have created an application with popup windows for editing and inserting new records.I left the item label templates to "Optional with Help".When I now click upon an item label the help - popup window appears but it is hidden behind the popup window I am working in.
Is there a workaround for that.Is there a possibility to modify the z-order either of the help popup or of the modal window ?

Oct 12, 2012I am having a problem with a popup lov. When I click on the "popup icon" I can select a supplier and it is stored in the field. But when I leave the form and return later, it shows the return value instead of the display value. For example: you select "supplier A" from the popup list with ID 12. "Supplier A" is shown in the text field, when you save the form, it stores ID 12 in it. But when you return to the form, it fetches ID 12 and shows "12" in the text field instead of "Supplier A".
I tried setting the "source" of the popup lov field as an SQL query, but that didn't work for me.

Apr 11, 2013APEX 4.1.1.00.23 on 11gR2 - browser independent issue.
We are converting all of our applications to use a standard centralised theme (23). This is fine and seems to work for all templates except for Popup LOV. When you choose the master template it shows as subscribed from within the template detail page, but in the apex_application_templates view and in Shared Components/Templates it is the only item showing as not subscribed.
My guess is simply that the apex_application_templates view does not cover popup LOVs perfectly for some reason but it

Nov 7, 2013I support an APEX app that has one workspace for Development and one for the live Production application. When I originally created the Dev instance I was able to copy tables and data by granting select privileges between the two workspaces (I did this one table at a time).
The development workspace data needs to be refreshed from production since it's been a long time since the initial refresh and is very out of date. I would like to do a couple things:
1) execute SQL to compare the tables in the two workspaces to ensure they're structurally identical
2) execute SQL to truncate Dev tables and refresh from Prod Is there a way to do this?

Application Express :: Error When Refreshing Report Region / ORA-20876 - Stop APEX Engine
Mar 26, 2013I'm using Apex 4.2. On click of a button, I refresh 2 Standard Region Reports with a Dynamic Action. This dynamic action has been working without problems for WEEKS and all of a sudden i'm getting the ORA-20876: Stop APEX Engine error when I click the button.
In the dynamic action, I removed the refresh of the second report and now the error does not occur. If I add the second refresh action back in, it throws the above error. I've even tried making the second report identical to the first and the refresh action fails. why this is failing on the second refresh action since the second report & region is IDENTICAL to the first report now.

Application Express :: Add Field In Page Title Or Repeat Header On Each Print Page
Jun 4, 2013We are using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Wondows XP and Oracle version is 10g. I've created a report in APEX and the user is insisting on putting a header on each page in PRINT of the report which should contain the "from date" and "to date", which are present on the select criteria on top.
Can I somehow add from_date and to_date items in Title so that when they print the report, they'll see the from and to dates in the title?Or is there someother way to do this. The report is an interactive report with a control break and user prints the report with file->print.

I have a submit button (this works fine) that will issue the ALTER USER... statement to reset the user's password and unlock the account. I have another button that should:
get the value of the username - P8_USERNAMEassign it to an application item - FIND_USER_IN_DBredirect to page in application - to page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get populated and page 11
which is a simple report with the following query:

How do I accomplish this?

I created a page with 2 tree regions. Both trees use different items and different queries. The first tree is displayed correctly. But the second one just contains the first item, if I don't display the first on via customizing the page or if I change the order of the trees the previoulsy invalid tree is shown correctly, but I didn't find a way to display both correct at the same time.

Sep 5, 2012Trying to create a "page zero". Usually in previous releases this is done executing the following:
1. On the Workspace home page, click Application Builder.
2. Select an application.
3. The Application home page appears.
4. Click the Create Page button.
5. For Select a page type, select Page Zero.
Note that the Page Zero option only appears if the application does not have a page zero.
6. Click Finish.
Since the upgrade to 4.2 this option is not available or has move. (I do not have a page zero already created.)
