Application Express :: Script Output Reached Maximum Workspace Result Size Limit
Oct 18, 2013
I have created a workspace to use oracle apex, after a while I tried to run a script, the following message has been displayed to me, The script output reached the maximum workspace result size limit. Delete existing results or contact your administrator to increase the maximum workspace result size.
I have 2 workspaces, the one regard as Dev env, another regard as Pro. env. When the change need to be migrated, the some page of Dev workspace should be copy to Pro. one. I export the pages what I want to move from Dev., then try to import it into Pro. but I get the error as below:
Page Origin: This page was exported from a different application or from an application in different workspace. Page cannot be installed in this application. I don't want to copy the page one by one.
I have multiple application set-up using session sharing within the workspace.Technically all works fine, however it does not play nice with user behaviour.
Example: Users logs into APP_ID:100. Since he isn't authenticated yet, he provides user/pass and the APP_SESSION is authenticated. Now if the user switches using to another application (using a link provided in application 100) he gets redirect to APP_ID:101:APP_SESSION all is fine.
The session is already authenticated, the application shares the session and the user gains access to app 101 without having to authenticate again. All's fine!
However users don't behave they way. Instead of using an easy link in the application. They will use their own bookmark or type in the url for app 101 manually. That way the next application is either called with f?p=101:1:[SOME OLD SESSIONID FROM BOOMARK] or f?p=101 (with no further page or session info) In both cases instead of using the already authenticated session apex spawns a new session, which of course isn't authenticated yet thus forcing the user to authenticate and come complaining they have to login again.
Similar behaviour problems exists when the user opens a browser and tries to open both applications in each in a tab next to each other. Both tabs fetch there own initial session id and start writing it to the same cookie each in turn invalidating the other tab's session. These can lead to some fanatic ping pong actions. Thus it's impossible to open 2 applications sharing session in the same browser.
Is there any remedy for these situations? Can apex be as smart as for instance first trying to resume the session stored in the cookie and only if that session is invalid, start a new session?
APEX 4.0 Sometimes, I am getting the below error when I tried to logging into APEX workspace (after giving workspace name, User name and password), Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
ErrorERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept. I found some threads related to this but in different way not exactly when I am getting this error.
After 2 or 3 times, this error will not come and I can able to logging into workspace What is the cause for this issue??
I am trying to export a workspace from apex 3.2 to apex 4.2. After the workspace has been imported into apex 4.2, do I have to export and import the applications too? Don't applications reside on workspace and therefore if a workspace is imported, all the applications should have been imported by default?
I need to export my whole workspace/application from Oracle Application Express so if i was to move onto a new pc and install oracle again. I can import this file and everything will be as it was without need of editing anything.
Is this possible if so how? - Preferably export into 1 big file so importing will be with 1 mouse click instead of exporting to seperate database files etc.
I support an APEX app that has one workspace for Development and one for the live Production application. When I originally created the Dev instance I was able to copy tables and data by granting select privileges between the two workspaces (I did this one table at a time).
The development workspace data needs to be refreshed from production since it's been a long time since the initial refresh and is very out of date. I would like to do a couple things:
1) execute SQL to compare the tables in the two workspaces to ensure they're structurally identical 2) execute SQL to truncate Dev tables and refresh from Prod Is there a way to do this?
There are two applications in the work space. Both the application have a link to navigation back and forth to the each other. have created a DB authentication to both the application.
My Requirement is if user log's into one application and navigate to other it must not ask for username and password
Is there a way to make a button conditional on the existence of another app in the same workspace. What I am trying to do is have a MAIN app and several other MODULE apps in the same workspace. Then a button on a form in the MAIN app that will redirect to a specific page in one of the MODULE apps. If the MODULE app does not exist, meaning not installed, then the button would be invisible.
Our apex currently has LDAP authentication scheme. We have many applications within the workspace. We are looking for a way to have one authentication scheme defined for all the applications so that user doesn't have to enter username/password for each application. How can I share my LDAP authentication scheme for multiple applications.
I would like to change the printing settings in my workspace Instance settings. But, I can't find the "Manage Instance" option mentioned in the tutorials.
I have a master-detail form which was getting close to the 100 items per page limit in Apex 4.0 which I then scaled back and got to work properly. I had thought that I could start adding more columns to the detail part of the form since 4.2 was supposed to have increased that limit. I am finding that this does not seem to be true at least in the case of this particular form. I tried increasing and started getting 404 errors when trying to save data--same symptom I had had with 4.0. I am back nearly to the same # of columns I started with--and nowhere near the 200 limit. Columns are month by month projection data that I had hoped to extend with the increased page item limit.
I missing something required to take advantage of larger page items limit? Do I need to use one of the new templates?
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
The problem table resides in a locally managed tablespace. About 10 millions records is added in this table every day. After 36 hours all these records moved to another (partitioned) table, so the size of data in the problem table always about 75 Gb. But the size of table is reached 157 Gb today, and it still growing. The results of dbms_space.space_usage are showed below:
Size of blocks with:
0-25% free space: 4726784 25-50% free space: 17301504 50-75% free space: 24920064 75-100% free space: 102418669568 full blocks: 54761594880Thus, a lot of blocks have 75-100% free space but the table constantly growing: during last 9 days the size increased from 123 to 157 Gb.
how to stop the table growing? It there any way to limit the table size in locally managed tablespace?
I have a tabular form (report) multi-record. It display only the records 1-15 with pagination to the other pages. When I set the field 'Number of Rows' to 100, it still displays record 1-15 only. I just want to see the complete dataset on one page, without pagination. (There is a filter on it so there will never be more than 100 records displayed)
I need to display the data as range , i have created one table along with inserts as below , i need the desired output as mentioned below. The range will start from field STMH_PM_CODE , it will get the first and last stmh_pm_code and stmh_pm_desc which are in the same combination of STMH_NO,STMH_JOB_NO,STMH_batch_no and stmh_rev_no,

-- i want it as below see the line in stmh_pm_desc the description gets added until there is a change in either stmh_batch_no or stmh_rev_no since we have stmh_pm_code 1107040-1004 with stmh_batch_no 0002 it goes to other line as a seperate new range and first one will stop with 1107-1003 as that is the last combination and new line or range will get added over again.
I'm using TimesTen Release 11.2.1.9.8 (64 bit Linux/x86_64) 1. is there any limit in size for a single table. How much a table size can be increased? 2. Is there any limit in number of records in a table?
I've created a classic report that sums a couple of columns in two different regions:(Why can't I insert an image?)This is a simple example:
Region1col1 col2 col3 col4 col5 a b 20 5 25%c d 40 4 10%e f 120 6 5%report total: 180 15 x Region 2col1 col2 col3 col4 col5 g h 30 6 20%i j 70 14 20%report total: 100 20 yMy
How do I access the values generated by APEX (in bold) so that I can use them in further calculations? e.g. create a grand total from both regions
2) Having calculated a value, assuming 1 above is possible, how do I insert it at position x or y? e.g I want to calculate a % so that x would be 8.33% and y 20%
I'm having some issues with my NVarchar2 columns that I want to solve
My current NLS_CHARACTERSET is 'AL16UTF16', and therefore I can only create NVarchar2 columns with an maximum extension of 2000 bytes. But I do need a column with 4000 bytes length. How can I create an 4000 NVarchar2 column?
(I do not want to use a CLOB column...only a NVarchar2)
we have an environment with many Oracle databases in different versions (v8, V9, V10 and V11). Besides that, there are many versions of the Oracle Client in use, ranging from V6 to V11. Many of the clients have a TNSnames.ORA and as was to eb expected, many of these are old as well with a lot of (by now) invalid information in there.
Is there any reasonable maximum size to the TNSnames.ORA file? What are the consequences from going over the max size? Are there alternatives to using TNSnames.ora which you would recommend?
i am using the Simple checkBox Plug-in from Plugins Repository. I am having the situation that i need to Display the Label of the checkbox in one line, after the check box symbol.
Up to now, i have managed to display the label, but it have leading space which i do not need and after the label, i am trying to put a Select List control, which i can't display just after it.Here is a picture of what i have achieved up to now: URL....
Here are my settings for the 1st item: URL.... Here are my settings for the 2nd item: URL....
The template for Page is: One Level Tabs - No Sidebar and the template of region is : Form Region / Above Content. The Regions are in Position: Page Template Body (3).I am using APEX 4.2.1.00.08 and Oracle EE Database 11.2.0.0.3 under Windows 7 64 bit Pro.
OK, Now that the syntax has been corrected with "Chanchal Wankhade" I have an entirely new issue. I am sure this issue has to do with my case statement logic. I am getting multiple rows, when I am only looking for one. Here is my code:
SELECT CASE WHEN EP.PHYSICAL_DATE IS NULL THEN CASE WHEN EC.ORIGINAL_CONTRACT_START < ((SYSDATE) - 365) THEN 'NEEDS PHYSICAL' [code].....
However, only one of these rows should be the output, which is "No". How do you get a nested case statement to evaluate to one result, instead of multiple? I'm quite sure it is in the logic. To spell it out, this is what I am trying to accomplish with the above code: If the "EP.PHYSICAL_DATE" is null, then use these sets of formula's to evaluate the output, BUT if the "EP.PHYSICAL_DATE" is not null, then use these set's of formula's to evaluate the output.
As it stands now, it appears as if my nested case statement is doing exactly what I told it to do, which is to evaluate both conditions, and output both.
I am having I/O issues if i create 20 GB DATAFILES on SMALL TABLE SPACE. guide me with the maximum size limit of data file that I can create in Windows 2003 32 bit server.
I have an application that uses theme 2. On one page I have several regions that display updateable items populated with SQL. One particular region shows a tabular report that contains a combination of updateable and non-updateable items. This region will show no more than 15 rows. In one case I know that 22 rows should show. The pagination links do nothing. That is, nothing happens when I click the NEXT link or select the next X of Y from a list. I saw a theme for an application can restrict page size.
