I need to verify if the current date is grater than the 15th of the current month. If its grater than the 15th of the current month i need to do an action or if else its lesser than 15th of the current month i need to do an other operation.
I have a column where I have time stamp with date and time(8-May-10 10:20:55 Am) from that i will get only time(10:20:55 Am)[query for this mentioned below] Now i need to append the time to current date and insert into a Timestamps column only .
so my result should be 17-May-11 10:20:55 Am(Assuming current Date is 17-May-11) . I tried search it by i found a way in sql server by using DataAdd and DataDiff .
query to get the time is:select to_char(to_date('11-MAY-11 05.00.00 PM', 'DD-Mon-YY HH:MI:SSAM'),'HH24:MI:SS') "Time Now" from dual
ADD_REWARD_sp. Given the identifier of a project, add a new reward for the project. The procedure should return a unique identifier for the reward. The month and year indicated should be greater than or equal to the current month, or an error message should be generated. The pledge amount should be greater than zero. The number of backers, if not NULL, should be greater than 1. If the project is not found, generate an error message.
This is the procedure head:
create or replace PROCEDURE ADD_REWARD_sp( p_proj_id IN NUMBER, p_pledgeAmt IN NUMBER, p_rewardDesc IN VARCHAR2,
[code]...
Basically, what I am struggling with is how to check if th month and year is greater than or equal to current month. I suppose it would be easy with just checking SYSDATE, but in this case I need to use both month and year.
I have one inline view query which shows exec\ fetch : 2 sec\ 19 sec It gives 500 rows as final out put, when i give rownum<100 it shows exec\ fetch : 1 sec\ 000 sec, and i cannot use this rownum< 100 alternative as this is inline subquery of big query.
Select to_char(to_date('10-02-2006 10:30:00 AM', 'DD-MM-YYYY HH:MI:SS AM'), 'HH:MI:SS AM') as a1, to_char(to_date('10-02-2006 01:30:00 PM', 'DD-MM-YYYY HH:MI:SS AM'), 'HH:MI:SS AM') as a2, Case when to_char(to_date('10-02-2006 10:30:00 AM', 'DD-MM-YYYY HH:MI:SS AM'), 'HH:MI:SS AM') >
[code]...
from the above query i was expecting value '2' but its returning '1'. As I am using TO_CHAR its trying to compare characters. Is there a way, to compare times alone like less than, greater than?
I currently have a problem where I have two date fields with time stamps. The only bit i am currently interested in in these fields is the time factor. When i display them in their field they have a format of HH24:MI .
I have a start time and end time as well as a duration and duration type. What I am trying to do is the following: when the user inputs the start time, along with the duration say 1 for example and the duration type of say HRS for example I would like to have the end_datetime default to 1 HR from the current start time. This is the code I use on a when validate item trigger to acheive this:
case :blk.duration_type when 'HRS' then :blk.end_datetime := :blk.start_datetime + ((1/24)* :blk.duration); when 'MINS' then :blk.end_datetime := :blk.start_datetime + ((1/24/60)* :blk.duration);
However, every time it triggers the value put into end_datetime is 0:00 is it something to do with the datatypes im using .
Need to check the elapse time for particular query ran from last 24 hours , it was ran multiple times and need to know for each execution what is elapse time .
Write a program to declare a date variable and assign it to the current system date. Depending on the day of the month the program should print the following:
If day is 1-10 then print "It is day<day number> of <month name>. It is early in the month". If day is 11-20 then print "It is day<day number> of <month name>. It is the middle of the month". If day is 21-31 then print "It is day<day number> of <month name>. It is nearly the end of the month".
For example, if the day is November 30, then print "It is day 30 of November. It is nearly the end of the month".
I can't seem to understand why the hour is incorrect. Below query "dte_computation_on_data" is the old function they use to convert date and insert it to the table. Problem is when I revert it to the actual date the hour is incorrect.
CODE SELECT -- THIS HERE IS MY TEST TO REVERT TIME AND DATE ON THE FORMULA OF WITH RESPECT TO THEIR FUNCTION to_char(TO_DATE('19700101', 'YYYYMMDD')+(tb1.dte_computation_on_data/86400),'MM/DD/YYYY') || ' ' || to_char(to_date(mod (tb1.dte_computation_on_data,86400) ,'sssss'),'hh24:mi:ss ') revert_test, systimestamp,tb1.dte_computation_on_data from ( SELECT -- THIS IS THE FORMULA OF THE OLD FUNCTION THEY USE TO CONVERT DATE TO NUMBER AND INSERTED ON THE ROW floor((CAST(SYS_EXTRACT_UTC(systimestamp) AS DATE) - TO_DATE('19700101', 'YYYYMMDD')) * 86400) dte_computation_on_data FROM dual)tb1;
When I try to extract the date tag value from XML data, the time stored in 20120602153021 format i.e., YYYYMMDD24HHMISS format. The following statement extracts only date as 02-JUN-12 however do not extract the time part.
If I try the same in SQLplus with to_date it works however fails in PL/SQL.
XML data: <?xml version="1.0"?> <RECORD> <REGTIMESTAMP>20120601130010</REGTIMESTAMP> </RECORD>
PL/SQL Extract:
CURSOR c_xml_record IS SELECT extract(value(d), '//ACTIVATIONTS/text()').getStringVal() AS REGTIMESTAMP, FROM t_xml_data x, [code].......
table_1 contain records on employee and the supervisor they are under at a certain date.
As some employee(00001 & 00003) have a different supervisor from different date, I'll like to extract from table_1 the record of each employee in the table that only contain the supervisor info on the most recent date.And from table_2, i'll like to extract the employee's name. These records extracted from both the tables would the be put into a new table,table_3
Example: For employee 00001, only extract record that have the most recent date which is 04-APRIL-2004 and not on 01-MARCH-2004
I need a query to display the birth date of all emp in such a way that if i run a query today the dob which lies between today & today+15 days data must be displayed.
if i make the source for a field is a current date with format dd/mm/rrrr hh:mi:ss and the report published on the application server and the clients from different machines run this report
what the field display on Cline or on DB or On Application Server?
I want to reset my date to this format: 12/31/2012 11:59:59 PM - see code below:
DECLARE v_latest_close DATE; BEGIN v_latest_close := TO_DATE ('12/31/2012 23:59:59 ','MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'); DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('The new date format is : '|| v_latest_close); END;
the code above displays only : 12/31/2012 instead of 12/31/2012 11:59:59 PM
I have an attribute in my DB called start_date of type date.I want a query that return the difference between the start_date and the current date.for example if start_date = 2/14/2013 *2*:35:00 PM and the current date = 2/14/2013 *1*:35:00 PM the query returns 1.
