Here is my concern, my procedure is already running manually and as per schedule time the same procedure will call by other application in the same time, So now procedure can run simultaneously or it will show any error message?
I have created a form in which I have 2 canvases - content canvas and a tabbed canvas.
I have only 4 fields on the content canvas and the remaining on the tabbed canvas. My requirement is such that the tabbed canvas should appear below the content canvas when I run the form, i.e. the fields on the content canvas will be visible, and below them will be the tabbed canvas.
For the content canvas, I have set the viewportX and viewport Y position as (0,0), and for the tabbed canvas, I have set the viewportX and viewportY position as (0,100). However when I run the form, I only see the tabbed canvas and the area at the top where I should see the contents from the content canvas appear blank.
(I put ... because there are a lot of columns which are not interesting for this question.)
Remark: team_id and agent_id are neither primary keys nor UNIQUE.
In a third table I have a column with exactly the same data type, that is, VARCHAR2(20). What I need is to make sure that its value is at least in one of the tables TEAM or AGENT (so the only thing that is important is to check that the specified value exists no matter in which of the two tables, but just to make sure that it exists somewhere).
The solution that I have found so far, is to create a BEFORE INSERT trigger on the table. Within the trigger I create a cursor
CURSOR c IS SELECT team_id FROM TEAM UNION SELECT agent_id FROM AGENT;
I have problem viewing 2 procedures at the same time... e.g. i open procedure A, edit it, not close it. then i open procedure B from the left pane, and then i cannot see the procedure A... If i look at the File Menu on top left, it has the option of SAVE ALL, and not just SAVE.. that means both the procedures are open. but then why am i not able to see them?
After compiling a simple valid SP in Toad for Oracle 8.5.1:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE proc_test AS DECLARE v_name VARCHAR2(20) := 'Ed Edson'; BEGIN DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Hi, my name is ' || v_name); END;
The SP is not added to the schema. Also the three status fields (status, created and Last Update in the Procedure Editor remain <Unknown>. It is not a rights or privilege issue, because the creation works perfectly in SQL*Plus!
I need to call the same procedure with different parameter multiple time in parallel.
I have job_control Table
CREATE TABLE JOB_CONTROL ( JOB_CONTROL_ID NUMBER NOT NULL, JOB_SEQ_NO NUMBER NOT NULL, MODULE_NAME VARCHAR2(32 BYTE) NOT NULL, JOB_STATUS VARCHAR2(15 BYTE), NO_OF_RECORDS NUMBER, PROCESSED_RECORDS NUMBER );
Insert into JOB_CONTROL (JOB_CONTROL_ID, JOB_SEQ_NO, MODULE_NAME, JOB_STATUS, NO_OF_RECORDS) Values (20, 1, 'SALES', NULL, 5); Insert into JOB_CONTROL [code]........

I was working on an applications program It is written in PL/SQL . It is running on an oracle 8i database It was not written by me but now I am responsible of it. I made some changes to database tables for this years regulations. Everything was working fine but yesterday I have recompiled two of the packages for some regulations and one of the procedures was stopped working.
It is called 'sayfa2'. Packages names are 'aday1' and 'aday2'. They both have a procedure called sayfa2 and both of them don't work now. They gave me no compilation errors. All I did is I have copied the original code from toad and compiled it at sqlplus I have changed nothing except some texts inside html tags. I couldn't guess what is wrong.
It actually converts to html pages. All procedures are working fine except sayfa2. aday1 is for to fill information and submit but when I click submit button it gives an error:
The requested URL /pls/kon/aday1.sayfa1 was not found on this server. Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.19 Server at ...
There is also a problem with Turkish characters they don't appear correctly.
Below is sayfa2 and I also added aday1 package could you have a look at it .
PROCEDURE sayfa2(stuid VARCHAR2,tckimlik VARCHAR2, ad VARCHAR2, ad2 VARCHAR2, soyad VARCHAR2, sex VARCHAR2, mdurum VARCHAR2, bad VARCHAR2, aad VARCHAR2, dyer VARCHAR2, dgun VARCHAR2, day VARCHAR2, dyil VARCHAR2, nil VARCHAR2, nilce VARCHAR2, nkoy VARCHAR2, cilt VARCHAR2, asira VARCHAR2, sira VARCHAR2, asuba VARCHAR2, kang VARCHAR2, agorev VARCHAR2, [code].......
My Oracle procedure works on two parameters, file type and file name.
exec xml_trans.load_xml('OMG','Sample.xml');
First parameter is xml file type and second parameter is xml file name. XML file is generated by by a web service and keep in a particular location.
Now the requirement is my procedure should pick up the in parameters, once the xml file is generated and my procedure should be running as per schedule. I can execute the procedure in schedule but how can i pick the file name and pass to procedure as soon the xml file is generated?

I want to schedule a procedure in oracle and not from the Tash scheduler utility.Is there any way to schedule the procedure at database level.I want to run the procedure daily at specific time.
I tried to debug the procedure in Oracle SQL Developer and got the below error,
Connecting to the database TEST. Executing PL/SQL: ALTER SESSION SET PLSQL_DEBUG=TRUE Executing PL/SQL: CALL DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP.CONNECT_TCP( '****', '4000' ) ORA-30683: failure establishing connection to debugger ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP", line 68 ORA-06512: at line 1 Process exited. Disconnecting from the database TEST.
Here,
TEST is my database name, **** is IP address of my local machine 4000 is the port number, also I have set the debug port range as 4000 - 4999 in SQL DEVELOPER. firewall is not enabled in my machine.
