I have a view ( from many tables) , an error view in wich i monitor errors that appear in my project. This view should be empt always but whenever a error occurs the view shows me this. I wanna put a trigger or something like that on that view to send me an e-mail whenever a line is inserted in that view. ( I don't wanna use a job for that to make a count because this will affect the entire database).
which is the fast way of inserting 60 millions of records from a view to a table.
method 1:
create table t_temp_table as select * from v_dump_data;
method 2:
through bulk collect
---Bulk_Collect With FORALL---------- DECLARE TYPE srvc_tab IS TABLE OF t_temp_table%ROWTYPE; l_srvc_tab srvc_tab := srvc_tab(); l_start_time NUMBER; l_end_time NUMBER; l_error_count NUMBER;
How to Insert the data in Repeating Tables. I mean Suppose One Student has many Addresses like home,office,permanent etc.
There is one column in this table sequence_no. while Inserting a record how to insert this sequence no I don't know It maintains unique sequence no for each student.
If student has 3 addresses then Its seq no is 3.
I am inserting through a procedure where multiple students data is to be inserted.
I am trying to create a simple parametised procedure when all I am doing is dynamically inserting data from a set of tables and cols on a where clause.
And for the result set I am also inserting these input variables for future ref.
---------------------------------- CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE DATA_TEST (IN_TABLE_NAME IN VARCHAR2, IN_ATTRIBUTE IN VARCHAR2 ) iS FirstClause VARCHAR2(3000) := 'INSERT INTO ABC ( COL1, COL2, COL3,COL4,COL5, COL6) '; selectClause VARCHAR2(3000) :=
[Code]...
Now, the problem is that the proc is not compiling, because of that escape character.
Is there anything wrong that I am doing or some other settings needs to be done?
I am trying to insert records into target table from three source tables by using function in a package and I am getting error as follows.
SQL> create or replace 2 PACKAGE casadm.sis_load_cpl_sis_reb_pgm_hist 3 IS 4 /********************************************************************** ******************
[code]....
ERROR at line 1: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00221: 'FN_LOAD1T_CPL_SIS_REB_PGM_HIST' is not a procedure or is undefined ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
I am using apex 4.0.2.00.07. I have a page with two regions. The first region has only one row and I have no problems accessing it and inserting those values into the table this is what I used to access one column from that one row APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(1)
The second region is an interactive report, to which I have managed to add a checkbox and a textbox.
1)So if a checkbox has been checked off the row should be inserted 2) if the textbox has been entered it should replaceone of the values.
My question is how to access the second region? I started a loop based on the rows in the collection but that is as far as I got.
FOR idx IN 1..l_collectionTable_name loop end loop
Here the SUB1 and SUB2 are "tables" and are similar in their structure. The "Main_Table" will be update dynamically and the no of rows in this table will vary.
Now my question , i need to create a view which will have all the rows from these tables ,in the current case it is something like
create or replace view sample as select * from SUB1 union all select * from SUB2
How can this be achived. I tried as shown below:
spool file_to_exe.sql select 'select * from ' || AA ||' union all ' from Main_table; spool off
i will end up in a union all "extra" , if i do like this.
I'm stuck on the CREATE VIEW part and the SELECT statement to get the output of the CREATE VIEW. We were instructed not to use AND and simply use JOIN on this exercise.
Question - For employee John Smith, give the project(s) he is working on, his department's name and the name of his division. See crows foot diagram on a separate file.
I have created 3 tables and some indexes, but these objects do not show up in dba_segments view. Is this a normal behaviour? Previously, with dictionary managed tablespace, I can specify the minimum extent to create, when the table/index is created. But I'm not sure how the locally managed tablespace work.
I'm using Oracle 11g R2 (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x64), running on Windows 7.For the purpose of reproducing this issue, I have created the tablespaces as follow:
CREATE TABLESPACE CUST_DATA DATAFILE 'd:appasusoradataorcl11gr2CUST_DATA01.DBF' SIZE 512K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 256K MAXSIZE 2000K EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 256K SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;
I have a view on base tables holding historical data for previous 60 months(one table per month) with union all operators.create index on those base tables will improve performance or creating a primary key with disabled novalidate will improve for retrieving data?
The view has around 8 million data and used as a fact table with 4 dimension tables.A DTS package from MSSql side refreshes OLAP cube by retrieving data from these tables in oracle.
I'm trying to create a Materialized View on a remote database from a simple view. The reason is, the data owners don't want to grant explicit tables privileges to external subscribers.
A new schema is created to publish data in the form of a view. I've created mlogs on the master tables, and granted them to the subscriber, but it's still complaining about a missing primary key on the view. A primary key does exist in the master table.
Is there another work around for this situation without having to work inside the data sources' environment?
We wrote one data load process to load GZ files into Database.during process we will change client facing view definitions to backup table so that we can work on base tables.
This view definition changes are related to FROM and WHERE clause (not columns/type). during load process, client/user may connect to current server and accessing these views. My question is what will be the reflection of changing view definition while user is accessing view?
I created a scenario- STEP1: Created a view- create or replace view view_01 as select object_name from dba_objects union all select object_name from dba_objects union all select object_name from dba_objects union all [code]....
View definition is replaced by new definition while select is executing on that view. select returned number of records as per view definition one.
I have a materialized view "pro_mview",I am trying to refresh the MVIEW by using the following statement.
EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('pro_mview','C');
But I am getting the below error.
* Error at line 1: ORA-12008: error in materialized view refresh path ORA-00942: table or view does not exist ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 2256 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 2462 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 2431 ORA-06512: at line 1
I am able to fetch the data from that materialized view(pro_mview).
what would be the difference between a view and a materialized view? whether DML possible on a view? i think error occurs if DML tried on a view which is a combination of two or more tables, whether DML possible on a materialized view?
problem on oracle 11gR2 where i have to import data from a source database to an existing table without truncate or drop the target table in the target database.
we have found something called table_exist_action=append in impdp.
I have to cleanup data from our tables (Production Environment) that contain millions of rows. The question is apart from the solution of the partitioned tables what alternative recommended solution suggests Oracle?
To delete these tables by using a cursor PL/SQL block or to import all the database and in the tables that we want to remove the old rows to use the QUERY option of the data pump utility.
I have used both ways and i have to admit that datapump solution is much much faster than the deletion that suffers from I/O disk.The question again is which method from these two is more reliable and less risky for the health of the database.
I came across an implementation where data from DB2 tables are moved to Oracle tables, for BI solutioning, using some oracle procedures called from MS SQL DTS packages which are scheduled jobs.Just being curious, can this be done using OWB or ODI rather than the above detour. I suppose there are some changes being done in those procedures before the data is being loaded into Oracle tables, can't this be done using OWB/ODI? Can it be scheduled too as jobs using OWB/ODI?
My homework requires me to create a booking table for a hotel and I have created the table but I'm having trouble inserting the dates.
This is my table:
DROP TABLE BookingDM CASCADE CONSTRAINTS PURGE; CREATE TABLE BookingDM ( hNo NUMBER(3), gNo NUMBER(5), dFrom DATE NOT NULL, [code]......
This is the first set I'm attempting to insert hNo = 148 gNo = 11169 dFrom = 09/03/2009 dTo = 09/10/2009 rNo = 202
This is my attempt to insert the set:
SQL> INSERT INTO BookingDM VALUES('148', '11169', '09/03/2009', '09/10/2009', '202'); INSERT INTO BookingDM VALUES('148', '11169', '09/03/2009', '09/10/2009', '202') * ERROR at line 1: ORA-01843: not a valid month
