Jan 17, 2011We're trying to use the SQL statement below to show a list of all users and responsibilities however it is only returning employee accounts. For example, the GUEST account is not listed in the results. It also isn't showing us the users who've been end dated, only the users with current accounts. I think one of the AND statements is the problem. What should I change below to achieve the desired results: A list of all users and responsibilities including system and disabled user accounts.

1. I have Scott schema and here I have 10 tables. EMP,DEPT,SALGARDE ( and these tables having different priviliges).
2. another schema MACIN having table DEPT, SALS, GRADE ( having different priviliges) Now I would like to know Schema 1 having permissions to see the tables and he is doing some modifications,inserting,deleting .... on tables containing in MACIN schema.like this it is happening in vice verse in max schemas. now I would like to know who all are having access to login to another schema and what are the priviliges they have till now on what tables they applied changes...is it possible to figure out? if yes how can we?

We have Oracle users with their usernames and password. We would like to lock every single user to a certain area.Example:
user 1 may see only records, where AREA=USA
user 2 may see only records, where AREA=Honduras

Sep 2, 2009I have a "select ... into" in my PL/SQL and it doesn't retreive any data(I suppose just certain columns because if it doesn't retreive a row then the PL/SQL should throw an error) when there are many users accessing this table. It shouldn't be some table locking right? Because if it is, it should wait until the table is available then it will retreive data. Currently it just proceeds with the PL/SQL and selecting nothing in that query. what details should I look at to trace the cause of this problem.

the SYSTEM & USERS table space shows only <10 mb free space. Is it a bad sign? What I should do ?

Currently we are inserting the cycle data for all Items every day into above table for all the CCN's.Currently there are 100k Items in our DB and gets inserted every day into above table with Different Rundates for all CCN's.
We need the above data for 6months and we would like to purge the data based on the RunDates.
We thought of creating a Partition on CCN and Interval Subpartition on Run_date with Interval of every 1 day but I could get any materials on the net to have List-Interval partitioning in Oracle 11G.
Also List - Range partitioning doesnt work here as the Dynamic partition used(using Maxused) will contain the data for all Run_dates instead of particular rundate.

Jan 10, 2013Im facing some issues with my form, getting stuck... prob desc below : I have Table A which has columns; car_year, car_type, line_num, line_text. Table B has country, car_year, car_type, line_num, data_entry_amt.
Table A contains data which gets updated once every year only. Contains what year model is the car, what type of car it is.. Line_num has numbers starting from 1 which indicates the different part number and line_text has description for that line_num. eg :

2010 Toyota 3 Tire
2010 BMW 1 Windshield
2010 BMW 2 Door
2010 BMW 3 Tire
2010 BMW 4 Rear_mirror
Table B contains specific data related to table A, Contains country where car details n prices are, car_year, car_type, line_num, and amount($) for that part. for example :
Australia 2010 Toyota 1 400.50
Australia 2010 Toyota 2 200.40
Australia 2010 Toyota 3 308.25
So in year 2010, in Australia, Toyota's Door was sold at $200.40 Now, Table A will have similar data for this year and users will enter data for table B throughout this year. I tried master-detail form for this but it doesnt work. Because every year line_num change in table A and therefore cant implement a fixed number or rows on the form for amount for table B.
How to use dynamic listing but im not familiar with it. So how i should go about doing this. My form has structure has below :

Why we cannot cast PLSQL tables using a type defined in the procedure's specification (why the type needs to exist as an object before we can cast it, like this:

I search on Oracle documentation this morning, but the only thing i've found is that this option is possible with the STORE IN clause, but only for HASH partitionning.
