Forms :: Disable Mouse Navigation On Data Block Or Text Item?

I am trying to disable mouse navigation on data block or text item,. What i want is to my text items in specified block be keyboard navigable only.
The problem is that i don't have that option on text_items or data block (my conclusion: probably because it is not possible to change mouse navigate option for text item or data block).
I have also tried in WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger
set_item_property('block.item', mouse_navigate, property_false)
and
set_block_property('block', mouse_navigate, property_false)
and of course it did not work.

I would like to know if with Oracle Forms Builder 11g, we can use mouse instead of TAB to validate record? And why Forms Builder use TAB or ENTER Key to validate record? I have a SAVE button, but i want to replace the TAB navigation validation by the mouse click. Is it possible?

I have one tabular block on the canvas and there is one check box on this block. I want that when I uncheck this checkbox, one item on the current record gets disabled.
i manage to turn all the records enabled or disabled.
I am attaching a dummy form in which I have tried. Checkbox is acting on field :ecc_no.
The DB table for the same is:

I have a multi-record block with several text items.
On one of the text items i want to enter a value and then check whether the same value for the item has already been entered on any other records within the block.
If it has already been entered then i want to display a message and null out the field.
I have tried using app_record.for_All_records from a when-validat-item trigger but this does not work as you get a 'FRM-40737 Illegal restricted procedure go_block in when-validate-item trigger ' error

'm using go_item to open the canvas but the cursor doesnt want to focus on the item. I have to mouse click the item before I can enter any data or tab through it.

I have control block. In which user enters two values. Next is data block in which two items have property 'copy value from item' set to 'control block.item1' and 'control block.item2' resp. If thees items are made database items then in execute query will they be sent as parameters in addition to default where clause? if I check last query then query does not hv these parameters but the records returned are already filtered by control block items.

I have a form with an item with "datatype=long". when I am typing in "Arabic" or "Persian" it break the text before line ends.but when I type in English "text" go to end line(in other words line fills to the end) and then breake to next line.It show that the problem is LANGUAGE.

I need to implement a "Select All" function in a Data Block with All the Check boxes. It's a Database data block with 10 records to be displayed at a time. Check Box Items are in default layout. The requirement is when user checks/un-checks that select all check box which is placed on the left hand side of the other check boxes, it should select/deselect all the check box database items in that particular record.

Can I use rich text item on oracle form10G with some simple features like BOLD, UNDERLINE, ITALIC and if possible one more feature like spell check.
I Google my requirement, but mostly I found win word attachment. Further more if I can save this type of data in field then how can I print in report.

I have a master-detail form showing multiple records (tabular) in data-block. Now my problem is, based on certain column's value of a particular item in a particular row on the data-block to ENABLE/DISABLE during run-time .
For example, in a detail-block of 5 rows, if 3rd row's 'detail-block.item1' is equal to lets say, "X", then 'detail-block.item2' of that particular row ONLY must be 'disabled'. otherwise, it must 'enable' the 'detail-block.item2' of that particular item in that particular row on the data-block.
Even when, I query the form, it must enable/disable that particular item of that particular row from the data-block based on item1's value.

I want to make a verification of an item text ,the user must enter a number of length 4. So I created a text item :number(4). and in when-validate-item trigger of this item ,I put this
if length(:block.empno) != 4 then
message('this item must containonly 4 digit');
end if;
=> the problem, when the user entered "0123" ,it should be acceptable !! but this is not the case ...

In my form, for an item there is code for pre-text-item trigger. In query mode when i go to next record, previous record etc, whether this trigger gets fired? In other forms it is getting executed. Only in this form it is not getting executed. What should be reason for not executing this pre-text-item? Only this item is enabled and cursor is there.

I`m new with Oracle Forms. I have the following trigger WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED :

i want to display dummy background text in one of the item of data block. is it possible is forms 10g.
for ex: i have lov on one item with WHEN MOUSE CLICK trigger.when u click mouse in that item lov popups.
so for user to understand is just want to display dummy text as CLICK HERE FOR LIST in item's background or something like disable text.

I was wondering can i check if a text item in another block is empty when a user try to create a record using a button in another block.
