Forms :: Change Records Visual Attribute Depending On Certain Conditions

I have a database block that refreshes using a timer. In short, I list all open work pieces for a certain garage, displaying route, run, on_time, of_time, location grouped by garage, on_time, off_time
I need to highlight every garage with a different color. I am highlighting the on_time every time the garage changes.
The problem is, every time I move down the records, instead of keeping the previous garage color, and highlight the new garage on_time with a new color, the whole on_time column will be set to the current garage color.
I need to break down the block by color so the user can distinguish between the different garages, and the start and end time. Here is my code, I am putting it in when_new_record_instance of the work_block:

I need the block to be 3 or more different colors depending on the garage.
way to set the properties of a visual attribute group during runtime? During our forms 6 to 10 conversion we missed that our visual attributes for mandatory and not-manadatory items were different, so we have font size 8 and 9 in our system now, does not look very nice.
I m using oracle forms 9i in which i want effect on text fields that will change color of text after mouse cursor move on that field . is it possible in oracle form 9i .
I want to change the current visual attribute color of my form at the application level, reason being i don't want to generate all the forms again from scratch.I know that we can change this using visual attributes but is there a way to change this through some form setting?(Oracle 10g)
I have a requirement where i need to retain latest 3 records based on creation date for each customer_id and delete the older records. The customer_ id or contract_number data in the test table are not unique.

I have three tables, I have to merge those three tables, all three tables having same conditions and filter conditions(in each table one filter condition changed), I highlighted in the red difference the filter conditions in each table, finally my result should be 7 columns like

But for the past two days I am heck stuck with making a Proper Installation ! I have swept the Internet and the Oracle Forums but there is not single tutorials on how to 'INSTALL' these products completely.(All tutorials are on on 10 XE and dont cover Dev Tools installation)
For eg. I installed Oracle 11 XE and ODAC 11.2 Release 5 (11.2.0.3.20) with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio but still the database was not connecting.A blog suggested that I should edit and place the tnsname.ora files in the correct location then I should configure the machine.config file.But Oracle says that its universal installer automatically configures the config file.
Honestly,I love tough things but its stupid the way oracle is deploying its products. how to install and configure Oracle 11 XE with Visual Studio 2010.

1. I installed Oracle 11g Personal Edition, Release 11.2.0.10, 64bits, 2. Test connection(oracle in oradb11g_home1) is successed in data source, odbc, 2. Depending on the no. of distinct dates in table 1 i have to make those many columns in table 2. I m trying to write a Query in SQL. If its not possible in SQL give me PL/SQL procedure.
I want to create a SELECT, that shall give back only a special amount of rows, depending on the sum of one of the selected fields.
At first a code sample of the complete selection:

This selection produces some lines of output (in my case i.e. like 300). What I want to see is only that much lines that the condition 'sum of all items listed below meng_4<=sum of all items meng_4 of the whole selection * 0.9' is fulfilled.
So, if the whole selection produces a total of 10000 as sum for all items meng_4, I want to see only that amount of rows that sums a total of at least 9000 for all items meng_4. I hope, this specification is exactly enough to understand my intent.
Is there any way to generate columns dynamically by depending on the rows in a table in 11G .
Ex: If the deptno in DEPT table is not constant,then how to generate the N numbers of columns based on the deptno. Below query is working when we hard coded the deptno (10,20,30,40).What else if we more number of departments and we don't know the departments also.

I had installed ODAC 11.2 Release 5 (11.2.0.3.20) and Update Model from database wizard was working as expected...then after installing update 2 the wizard quit working....So Installed the latest managed drivers and beta..Data Connection connect and I can see the views and tables. but the Update Model from database wizard does not show the views and tables..
I was just wondering what people's thoughts and experiences are regarding performance of conditional expressions.

The question is how should the scheme look like to insert this XML?
I have one table in database that contains 3 foreign keys to another tables(this three tables name are: manager,worker and employee). in each row only one foreign key is filled.I need to write one query that with attention which column of fk is filled in where clause specified condition is performed. I write simple query in jpa but doesn't work properly

The reason is that i need to retrieve fields from different schemas depending on a column in a common table
let s say the column CRITERIA_COL is in table Common If COMMON.CRITERIA_COL has value 1 then the select query should fetch results from the schema : SCHEMA1.MY_TABLE If COMMON.CRITERIA_COL has value 2 then the select query should fetch results from the schema : SCHEMA2.MY_TABLE If COMMON.CRITERIA_COL has value 3 then the select query should fetch results from the schema : SCHEMA3.MY_TABLE
Something like this:
Select my_Col1, my_Col2 from (case COMMON.CRITERIA when '1' then SCHEMA1.MY_TABLE when '2' then SCHEMA2.MY_TABLE when '3' then SCHEMA3.MY_TABLE )
but that is not working .By the way my query is not just that, it s a more complicated query, that s just the portion I am having trouble with .
I would like resolve an issue, I would like to know if is there any posibility to filter particular conditions using sql, the example that Im going to describe below shows these conditions:

I created a procedure with four in parameters and 1 out parameter is there in this i want to check if any parameters is null or any two parameters are null or any three parameters are null...like this i checked(16 conditions) for all combinations i put if conditions but can i use execute immediate instead of all 16 conditions?
