Agent is unable to communicate with the OMS. (REASON = Agent is Unreachable (REASON : Agent to OMS Communication is brokenError in request response, code = 400 , text = ).
what is missing in this pfile that would cause enterprise manager not to appear ?
In the Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop II The chapter 8 excercise calls for the database to be started using the pfile init_sgalab.ora . The purpose of this I suppose is to simulate a memory error.
When I get to the part where I need to use OEM to fix the problem, OEM does not come up. The contents of init_sgalab.ora are : -------------------------------------------- background_dump_dest='/u01/app/oracle/admin/orcl/bdump' compatible='10.2.0.1.0' control_files='/u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl/control01.ctl','/u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl/control02.ctl','/u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl /control03.ctl' core_dump_dest='/u01/app/oracle/admin/orcl/cdump' db_block_size=8192 [code].......
I am not sure what is missing in this file to be able to bring up OEM.
Also, I looked at the logs and this is the only error message I found that might be relevant in
How I can get the heavy weight (Java) oem db console installed on my Windows XP desktop?
I used to have a 9i oem console before. But after reinstaling the OS on my laptop, I don't rememeber how I got the oem Java console installed in the first place.
I have a 10.2.0.1 db installed and web based oem console access to that db. But I want to be able to connect to other remote databases using the java console and manage/monitor the remote databases, like I used to before.
I have successfully installed Oracle DBMS 11g R2 on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate. I can only access the EM using only one user which SYSTEM. Although, I created different users which are unlocked but no success in accessing the EM even with the user name 'SYS'.
EM displays: Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database instance
And yest the Database Instance status show open and the instance is up; Listener status is Up; Agent Connection to Instance status is Succeeded (but no details)
emctl status dbconsole shows ""Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g is running"
emctl status agent shows "Agent is Running and Ready"
I can connect with SQL Developer and see everything in the database.
I am using Oracle 11g Rel1 on Window 2003 Server R2 Enterprise Edition x64 with SP2. I am trying to configure DB console using command throuth emca. But I am getting the below mentioned error. Even I tried after manually deleted the repository then tried to create using emca command.

I can access database with sql plus. When I try to access dbconsole with IE I get a certificate error (see uploaded picture),clicking "Laden dieser Webseite fortsetzen" has no effect. Disable Windows firewall does not change anything.
There are 2 further databases of same oracle version on this machine. They show the same problem with dbconsole.
I tried to add content of C: Oracleproduct11.2.0dbhome_2200864ORADB.it.ixsystems_CHAMPsysmanlog (for which i stopped service OracleDBConsoleCHAMP). But I can upload only one file, no ZIP.

I have to apply monitoring template on my databases. Databases are already added and configured into OEM. They are visible under Databases tab and also under Groups where I have added them.
But when I try applying monitoring template and look for database in search window, it doesn't appear there.
Tried restarting OracaleDBConsole service after a Windows security patch was installed and now I'm getting error 1053:The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" error message when you stop or pause a managed Windows service.
Apparently it was a MS known issue and it has been fixed in .NET v1.1 which is what was installed(& I didn't have any problems) before server team installed the latest security update which was .NET v2.0
i want to configure my present Data Guard Setup with Enterprise Manager...and on the Enterprise Manager grid control page i am not seeing any Data Guard option.....i am using oracle 10gR2 and Windows XP.
How to use enterprise manager for configuring Data Guard.
We have the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5. We recently upgraded our Databases from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and since then we are having this problem.
Whenever i click an Agent on the Grid Control it gives me this error: "Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring/adding targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms)."
I get the same error when i try to configure a host or a database.

I would like to down load and install 11g XE beta but I do not know if it will install and run on my 64 bid Windows machine. I had trouble with the 10 G XE trying to down load it on 64 bits.
If I cannot use it on 64 bits could I make it work if I down load Unbuntu Linux? System info as follows:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name XXXXXXXXX (censored) [code]........
I am trying to install Oracle 11g R2 on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. When I execute setup.exe as Administrator the command window flashes and exits. I could not even see what the message is. Also tried command prompt.
We have a .NET application on windows server 2008 32bit using the stored procedures on an Oracle 10g environment. We are trying to deploy the .NET application onto a 64bit x86 Windows server 2008.
We face an error trying to install the x64 version of the Oracle 10g client on windows 2008. The error we get is Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: javaw.exe
Is the x64 version of the Oracle 10g client certified for Windows 2008? Has anyone successfully installed the 64bit version of the oracle client on win2008?
We have a workaround in place with 32 bit version of the client running with the 32 bit version of the .NET application on x64 win2008. However to maximize the infrastructure we need to use the 64 bit version or we would have to turn to MSSQL Server .
I'm trying to install OMS on AIX and one of the prerequisites is JDK 1.6.0 SR6 but I couldn't find it in the IBM site, can some one tell me where can I download JDK 1.6.0 SR6?
I am trying to start enterprise manager without success. i used to work after installation of db 10g but do day when i run the command below it fails. also i donot see any thing useful in the logs that am being directed to directory /oracle/Ora10R2/Orahome/localhost.localdomain_dse/sysman/log
I have two databases on the same oracle 11g install. The first (ORCL) database uses the default port for EM (1158). However, I don't know what the second one uses. I go to the portlist.ini file, but it only has the entry for the default (ORCL) database.
