Enterprise Manager :: Unable To Login To OEM Grid?
Jan 20, 2012I am able to login to the database as system user through putty session but I am unable to login using OEM grid control. I get the below error :
Database Error
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
I know that we get this error if the user id or the password is invalid. But if the password is invalid, how come i am able to login through putty?

Mar 30, 2011I have a RAC cluster with several databases on it. One of my DB's, when starting the OEM in Internet Explorer, will never open the HOME page. I get the login page, and enter sys/password > SYSDBA. The progress bar on the bottom of browser will slowly move for a period of time, then I get the infamous 404 screen. dbconsole IS started...even stopped and restarted....
Thinking I need to drop and recreate the OEM repository using emca....have the commands to use oin a standalone world, but need some pointers for RAC world.

May 10, 2005 I have installed Oracle 10g on Windows XP. I created a database called orcl1 using DBCA and set the sys and system user passwords as "oracle". My windows xp operating system password is set as username:Bobby and password :welcome4all.
Yet at the startup/shutdown page in Enterprise Manager, when I enter HOST CREDENTIALS as username:Bobby,password :welcome4all
and credentials for target database as username:sys,password :oracle, I get RemoteOperationException:ERROR: WRONG PASSWORD FOR USER .I don't understand why? Am I doing something wrong?

Jan 28, 2013We have OEM and within are some great metrics and dashboards, with key information.We want to post some of these dashboards and metrics on our wiki page and/or within our application dashboards (we use jaspersoft.com/)
We do not want to give our normal users the access into OEM, so is there a way to somehow export these dashboards or access them via an anonymous user somehow?Either the dashboards themselves would be great, or somewhere to export the data the dashboards user - as i can then create the dashboards myself using the data.
example of dashboards/info to use would be:
- General, Host CPU, Active Sessions, SQL Response Time, Space Summary, etc...

when i am giving scott the dba rights then it is connecting. but i cann't give dba rights to scott.so, how/what is the specific command to give permission scott for connecting to enter prise manager console.

Feb 2, 2010We have the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5. We recently upgraded our Databases from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 and since then we are having this problem.
Whenever i click an Agent on the Grid Control it gives me this error: "Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring/adding targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms)."
I get the same error when i try to configure a host or a database.

This scott user has a proxy permission to another DBuser PROXY_USER. Previously I used to login using below syntax.
connect scott[proxy_user]/password_for_scott@TESTDB

Every thing is working but when we click on button in login form at that time parameter.p_userid will return null. because above code is define on button click in login screen, i cannot understand where i need to define the above code .

Dec 1, 2010I have a mainform through which one can access 3 different application(say a ,b,c)i have made three push buttons by clicking it the main menu of the respeective application is called.The three applcication have different users(user a,user b,userc)and have different database on the same version(db1,db2,db3 on 111g).I am using formservlet and i am calling the main form. configuration.I dont want the user to enter the username and password so i have hardcored it in formsweg.cfg file. my problem is that i login to the main form as 'user a' so i can access the application'a'.but now if i want to access applicatin 'b' how can i can i login as 'user b'?

May 3, 2011I have designed a Login form which takes username, password and connect string is hardcoded.I have compiled it, made an fmx file. created a shortcut to desktop. given the BIN path in shortcut.
when i want to lauch it, oracle's default login popup is shown.It can be by passed while defining username/password@string in shortcut properties but it reveals the password. every one can access it. I want to launch my own form without logging in to oracle. how can i avoid default login popup?

Jul 2, 2010I have two databases on the same oracle 11g install. The first (ORCL) database uses the default port for EM (1158). However, I don't know what the second one uses. I go to the portlist.ini file, but it only has the entry for the default (ORCL) database.

The requirement is to find those users who have not logged-in in the last 3 years.
