Server Administration :: Submitting Job From Java Web Based UI - Getting ORA-01652?

I am getting ORA-01652 temp space issue.I read several posts before posting this and no luck.We are submitting the job from java web based UI where it builds dynamic sql to submit the job.The issue is not repeatable for the same input parameters i.e for the same sql.Some times it will run just fine with out issues for the same input params and sql.
Only way I can reproduce the issue when i submit the job twice and some times,both fails and some times one success and one fail, but not both success any time.The job usually returns few millions of records and takes about 1.5 hrs to run.
I tried to extract the generated sql and run from pl/sql developer from two different sessionsat the same time and it will just run with out issues in both sessions. I repeated thiscouple of times and success every time. Only issues when i submit from UI. Thereseems some thing going in the java code the way it submits, but not able to figure out.
We have plenty of temp space 300G. We monitored the temp space and it only takes about 4G whenit ran with out issues. We also monitored when the job fails as it keeps growing till it hit300GB and throws the table space error.We are using 11G version. Year ago we migrated from 10 to 11. But when the app developed, it is 9g.

When i try to create a duplicate table from an existing table i get error.
SQL> create table COMP_TEMP as select * from COMPETITIVE;
create table COMP_TEMP as select * from COMPETITIVE
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace DATA_01
The table size is 15 gb.
Currently the tablespace has 2GB free space. If i need to increase the size of the tablespace DATA_01,how much space is required.

Actually in our environment , sysadmins are upgrading java versions on Unix (HP & Solaris) Machines and they have asked the query whether oracle database uses Java or not?
If it uses then all the databases need to be shut down for their planned activities and if not no need to shutdown the databases.

How to check for the increment of a space of the tablespace based on the particular table. (i.e.) Say a scenario, if am trying to load the data for a particular table, for first I loaded some 10000 records and then again loading 50000 records ,so based on the icrement of the reocrds the tablespace size also increases gradually . so for this scenario how to monitor the increment of the space.

It is not possible to run SHRINK SPACE against a table with a function based index. This is documented, and I've tested on the current release. I've reverse engineered it a bit, and the issue is in fact that you cannot SHRINK SPACE if there is an index on a virtual column:SQL> SQL> create table t1(c1 number, c2 as (c1*2)) segment creation immediate;
Table created.
SQL> alter table t1 enable row movement;
Table altered.
SQL> alter table t1 shrink space;
Table altered.
SQL> create index i1 on t1(c2);

Isn't it the case that clicking on a tab submits the current page, using the tab name as the request? I'm getting it to work some of the time but not always. In particular, it seems to work if the execution point is "On submission before computation" but not when the execution point is "After submission".
Here is what I did: I created a new application with two pages, each of which has a tab. Page 2 has nothing in it. Page 1 has an item, a button and two PL/SQL processes. Process 1 is unconditional, and sets the item to 10. Process 2 is conditional on the tab named "T_PAGE2", and increments the item by 5.
If both processes execute "on submission before computation" then everything works correctly:
-- If I click on the button, then the item is 10, indicating that only process 1 fired.
-- If I click on the tab to page 2, then the item is 15, indicating that both processes fired.
Now suppose I change them so that the processes execute "after submit". Then the button still works, but the tab doesn't:
-- If I click on the button, then the item is 10, as it should be.
-- If I reset the item value to 0 and click on the tab to page 2, then the item doesn't change, indicating that neither process fired.
Note that I have no computations or validations in my application. My only conclusion is that when you submit via a tab, there is some sort of internal validation occurring that keeps the processes from firing.

Submitting transaction / master data through API without exposing DB credentials...I am developing a scenario where I will submit transaction / master data like sales order / master item to Oracle apps (EBS) through MS Excel via API / interface table but like to provide only apps (EBS) user credentials rather then DB credentials so DB password could not expose to normal end user.

Oracle procedure was working fine with other XML files. Today I got new XML file and when I try to load the XML,I am getting below error.

I get the error while adding two tables and joining with the other tables.
I have tried to add relevent join conditions in where clause but does not work. Moreover, the space has too been increased by DBA but does not work.
The added two tables are RCV_TRANSACTIONS and RCV_SHIPMENT.

I have two tables with huge data with them. I want to compare both the tables (row by row comparison). So I have fired a query like the following:
SELECT * FROM TAB1
MINUS
SELECT * FROM TAB1@DBLINK;
SELECT * FROM TAB1@DBLINK;
MINUS
SELECT * FROM TAB1;
But the tables are having very huge data (25 Crores). So I am getting the following error after a long time:
ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 512 in tablespace TEMP1
Is there any other way to compare these tables (row by row)?

I am trying to execute an xslt (for XML transformation) using xmltype.transform function.
I can't paste XSLT code here, but below is similar what I am doing.

I have used a reference of random() method of java.lang.Math in xslt file, and it's giving me below error.
ORA-31011: XML parsing failed
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
LPX-00607: Invalid reference: 'random'.
I doubt, it's because of "Math" class, which is not present in Oracle, how to load standard java classes.

I am trying to invoke program from my local Windows machine (exactly java executor, which is in my environment on c:javajdkinjava) using database package with Java stored procedure.
Everything is fired by SQLPLUS script, this script invokes package with Java stored procedure (jar loaded into Oracle) and that procedure is trying to invoke runtime process (syntax:
c:javajdkinjava -cp
and here ara my classes and main jar) using my local java executor. I added all permissions using dbms_java.grant_permisions (execution forced me to give permissions java.io.FilePermission to <<ALL_FILES>> for execute), moreover I added to my database user JAVASYSPRIV and JAVAUSERPRIV role. Unfortunately, beside this I am still getting error:
C:javajdkinjava not found (Note that lookup with PATH isn't done due to the oracle executable being setuid.)

I am writing a java stored procedure in my package. In the java procedure I want to issue a query to be fired on the user table from which I am calling the java procedure.
Some thing like following:
I am logged in to USER1 and my package is inside USER1. From this package I am calling the Java Stored Procedure. In java procedure I want to make a jdbc connection to USER2. The details of USER2(password, hostname,portno) are stored in a table called 'connection_details' and this table is in the USER1.
My problem is how can I issue the
SELECT details FROM CONNECTION_DETAILS for USER2
so that i can get the details..?
Do i need to first make jdbc connection to USER1 and then execute the above query for which i need similar details of USER1. How can i obtain the details of USER1 here.
I am thinking if I am already in USER1 then do I need to make the jdbc connection to USER1 and then execute the query?

i`m trying to use pl/sql function to execute java class. I created 2 tables with around 100 values and java class with simple functionality. I need to create function to loop through my table1 and get with each iteration one value from table and pass that value as parameter to java class.
table1 is something like this:

I need to invoke a JavaMail code from oracle server. Conditions are :
On insertion of a row in a table a TRIGGER is to be run. This trigger would invoke a java code, that shoots an email, with desired credentials and login.
The code to send email, is based on JavaMail API, and is compiled on JVM version, 1.6.
The javaMail code can be loaded in oracle server using:
loadjava -user scott@TESTDB SendMailSSL.class
Another code doscmd.class is written and loaded in oracle, that is compiled in java 1.5. It is intended to call the SendMailSSL.class

One of our customer have problem with following sql statement:
SELECT c.table_name, c.column_name
FROM user_tab_columns c, user_tables t
WHERE c.table_name = t.table_name
AND c.data_type IN ('CLOB', 'BLOB');
During execution it takes all the TEMP tablespace size(8GB).
I gather system stats (dbms_stats.gather_dictionary_stats(estimate_percent=>null)) but it doesn't resolve problem.Above sql statement works fine with RULE hint but I want to know what is the reason of problem with temporary tablespace.

I am trying to run on Oracle report via Oracle Application Concurrent job. Concurrent job is completing normal but I don't get anything on print out page. In log file of this request I see message 'MSG-01003: Errors =>ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP'. I almost doubled the TEMP tablespace in size but still I am not able to get rid of this error message.
