Jun 28, 2011
When i run my reports on Windows 7 i receive the following error Reports Background engine Stopped working
When i view the detail of the error it shows
Problem Event Name APPCRASH
Application name RWRBE60.EXE
Application Version 3.0.0.0
Application Timestamp 38a27e49
Fault Module Name rwlib60.dll
Fault Module Version 0.0.0.0
I think it is sufficient information for you experts to resolve this issue reports are designed in developer 6i please view the attached image for report error detail.
Im not able to open the oracle reports 10g under Oracle Developer Suite Using win 7 enterprise version It gives me no error but unable to see the reports opening. It is running in the task manager but it is not opening.
I have an oracle application (Froms 6i) that is being accessed from a PC client running Windows 7 Professional. Whenever I try to access the the application I get a "Oracle Forms Runform has stopped working" error. I tried installing the runtime over and over again withn no use. This is not the first problem I encounter with "Windows 7- Oracle 6i" combination.
I installed the Oracle instant client version 10.2.0.3 and the corresponding ODBC driver. When I try to add a DSN in ODBC Manager using the Oracle driver, it crashes and I get this message:
"ODBC Administrator has stopped working" "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem..."
Trying to isolate this problem, I ran odbcad32.exe under DependencyWalker and it worked correctly without crashing. According to the Dependency Walker FAQ, this can be due to a "buffer overrun, stray/bad/freed pointer, etc.". They have a switch to set SET NODEBUG_HEAP=1 to check for this. When I did this, it crashes insider DependencyWalker also.
I'm having some trouble with iSQL*Plus.I instaled oracle database and at first it worked fine, but then I installed client on the same maschine and all products that come with client, and somewhere in the meantime iSQL*Plus stopped working.
Then I uninstalled client and products that go with him (Policy Manager, Oracle Wallet...) because I thought that they have "broken" iSQL*Plus, but it still doesn't work. Finally, I re-installed iSQL*Plus, but that didn't work either. Interesting thing is that when I type in command line
" c:/miljana/bin/isqlplusctl start "
it says that iSQLPlus is started, but when I go to browser there is an error:
" Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at miljana.localhost.com:5560. "
Also from Administrative tools/Services if a try to start iSQL*Plus there is an error:
" Could not start the OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly. "
I know that there is a lot of topics for this, but most of solutions where for Linux, and didn't work for me.I'm using Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition on WindowsXP
I m trying to run reports from my application developed using Oracle FORMS6i but the report engine does not show any job. Platform Information: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Version 6.2 (64 bit).
Im trying to display a word file from a blob column of table in reports 11g . In reports 6i OLE2 file format was available for that, but in 11g it became obsolete.
I am facing a problem while calling a report from FORM.the system gets hang and RWRBE60.EXE is not started.I am using client/server environment and Form 6i.
I have got a form in tabular format. each record contains some specific colour or it may not contain.
i want to chage the backgroud colour of that record based on what so ever user wants. for example, user want first record should be of RED back groud, second green, third blue etc.
colours are available in RGB format.
when i try to set_item_property(backgroundcolor) on post-query or on when new item instance, it makes all record of same colour.
note:- if a put another text/display item and make it number of record displayed property = 1 , then it works, because only one record colour is seen at a time.
I can not use multiple visual attributes because number of colours are up to user feedback.
I want to change the Background "Oracle Forms AS services" to one of our logo. I searched in formsweb.cfg and tried many parameters. I got succeeded in changing Title, forms background but not able to change the oracle logo message in the white background of html web page.
I have a text item in the control block and I want to change the background color at runtime..I used set_item_property but it doesn't working.I used WHEN-MOUSE-MOVE TRIGGER at the field level and the code.
is SET_ITEM_PROPERTY(':master_blk.department', FOREGROUND_COLOR, 'VISUAL'); 'VISUAL' is the visual attribute name and before making the visual attribute I used SET_ITEM_PROPERTY(':CONTROL.CREATE', FOREGROUND_COLOR, 'red');
In the attachement, i have one record. if i click on the list_item then it is showing fully blue as background colour, but i want like if i click on the list item then only current value background should show as blue rest of the values white in background colour.
I created a tab canvas and changed the background color of one of the tabs. Now I am unable to change it back to the default color.
I tried entering "None" in the Background Color property and even tried keeping the field blank. But it keeps on prompting me to enter a color value. Now it is looking funny with all the tabs in the default color and only one tab in some different color.
I am running Oracle XE . This database collects information about server statistics in my organization ( memory usage, threads running, etc). Now , I need to send alert/ notification emails if the certain thresholds are crossed by server ( ex: if number of threads increase more than 100, send an alert email).
One way to do this is to write stored procedures and schedule them to run every hour and send alert email if conditions are met.
But what I want to do is to use some sort of rule engine where I can specify the rules/conditions which have to be true for alerts to be sent. The reason I want this approach is so that every time there is a new rule, I do not have to write a new stored procedure and I can just specify the condition in the rule engine . So are there any Rule Engines out there that I can use (preferably open source and free to use)?
Have an issue where after several months, our Oracle database has stopped choosing an index.
Here's some background information:
For the sake of simplification, the table has two key fields, SITE and ID, and the table is partitioned by SITE. Since the query is doing an ORDER BY ID DESC, we had to create a function-based DESC index as well as a regular index to convince the database to choose the index:
INDEX_1: SITE Asc, ID Asc INDEX_2: SITE Desc, ID Desc
So when the index is chosen the showplan displays INDEX RANGE SCAN DESCENDING on INDEX_1
Now, after several months where the index was being chosen for all 4 SITEs, the index only works for 3 of the 4 SITEs. And for 1 of the SITEs it shows 'TABLE ACCESS FULL'.
Strangely, we created another instance of the database (a byte for byte image) for troubleshooting purposes, with the same database engine version (but different OS version) and the index is being chosen for that new instance. Of course there's an explaination for this, but it's beyond my comprehension as to why you have an exact image with a different behavior.
Here's what Oracle version: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.7.0 - 64bit Production PL/SQL Release 9.2.0.7.0 - Production CORE9.2.0.7.0Production TNS for Solaris: Version 9.2.0.7.0 - Production NLSRTL Version 9.2.0.7.0 - Production
By the way, HINTS are not an option since the application that executes this query doesn't allow us to modify the SQL.
I have Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit operating system. I downloaded Oracle 12c for 64 bits. I downloaded both zipped files in one folder that I created and un-zipped in the same folder as well.Once I start setup.exe,
I got three times File not found message as follows:
File not found C:app....admindr0ulib.sql.sbsFile not found C:app...installsbs rcsess.batFile not found C:app...schemamk_dir.sql.sbs
On all of the above situations, I clicked "Continue" since I have no idea where to find these files. At 59% installation, it is in the process of setup and displaying the message "updating registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE/KEY_OraDB12Home1" At this point it pretty much hangs up for ever.
I have over 27 views in apex and made a column name change in the views and after I compile about 4 or 5 of them, the apex engine crashes. I was compiling the data views first, before moving on to report views. When I upload the views and ran them in the as a script, it said all of the views were created. When I went into object browser most of the views compiled. I recompiled the ones that were marked red. I compiled them in the code window, incase it threw an error, I can fix it there.
I had problems with views, before causing core dumps when I compiled them, but figured I had to compile the views in a certain order.
I have a dba_job that is scheduled to run every hour and for the past couple of weeke it is behaving strangely. It fails running every alternate hour. I have checked the alert log whenever it fails but nothing is reported in the alert log. The job is not broken.
I'm using Apex 4.2. On click of a button, I refresh 2 Standard Region Reports with a Dynamic Action. This dynamic action has been working without problems for WEEKS and all of a sudden i'm getting the ORA-20876: Stop APEX Engine error when I click the button.
In the dynamic action, I removed the refresh of the second report and now the error does not occur. If I add the second refresh action back in, it throws the above error. I've even tried making the second report identical to the first and the refresh action fails. why this is failing on the second refresh action since the second report & region is IDENTICAL to the first report now.
I want to export forms data into Excel sheetfor that i am using Client_Ole2.I have attached Webutil object library and Pl/Sql libraryStill I can not export data from Form to Excel sheet
Below is the sample code working fine in 10g and not working now in 11g.
CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED "PSTest" AS import java.sql.SQLData; import java.sql.SQLException; import java.sql.SQLInput; import java.sql.SQLOutput; import java.util.List; [code]....
