I have 2 blocks, block 1 which is the master and block 2 which is the detail. Both block 1 and block 2 are multi record blocks. For my form I want to display a warning message to the user if they create a master block without also creating a detail.

After login into form if there is no transaction/event happens I want it to throw one warning message after say 5 minutes.
i got an error running my form. And when i re-run it again, the message at the bottom was nowhere to be found. How can i bring it back?

Report Builder 6.0.8.24.0
if we try to open the file it shows the below error
"Warning: Opening a report saved with a newer version of Report Builder. Functionality may be lost. Continue? "
Currently we are using "Report Builder 6.0.8.11.3" is it possible to download the 6.0.8.24 version?
I see following warning message in alert log file.

I have to date field in detail part of master detail Form. In detail part i have field of From_date and To_date. I want when i go to next record in detail part ,,,from date is initiaze by previous to date+1....eg.like
1.record: From date=01-jan-2011, To_date=10-jan-2011
2.Record: From_date = 11-jan-2011;
I have Attached calender to two feild...and calender is the different block... In Detail block when_record_instance i handled the;; From date=previous to-date +1;
but when i double click the feild calender is open and when_new_record trigger is fired agian. calender called ...the when_new_record is not callled .....
My record is getting saved twice every time I push my button to commit changes to my DB.I have already records from my table and when I click for that record to update the grade. the same record is getting saved twice.I have put my queries in on-update trigger to update the grade of my record. I check my query, don't have errors. I don't know what's wrong with this.

I want to catch this eror in forms: catch the error code ORA-28002 in ON-ERROR trigger and ON-Message trigger, however its not getting caught in the trigger. how to catch the warning/error ORA-28002 in oracle forms?
we are testing the oracle developer tools 11g and we have the followed issue.
If we run a form saved on the local disk, it's running properly but if we save the form on a local disk we get FRM-40010 Cannot read form XXXX.
Example:
TEST.fmx on C:Temp (Local disk) is running
TEST.fmx on T: (Network disk) FRM-40010
Why showing at the status bar "3 records applied and saved" instated of "2 records applied and saved". 2 means 1 for Header and 1 for Detail. How I change status bar.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe are building a custom form extension with our EBS R12 where against certain parameters we are inserting and updating records in a table through a PL/SQL procedure.This PL/SQL doesn't use a commit exclusively, instead the user must click the Save button after verifying the data (new records are inserted, existing ones are updated and after the insert and update routines, execute_query is fired to fetch the latest data)
Everything works fine, however, when the user clicks on the Save button form status bar says "FRM-40401: No changes to save"
We would like to alter this message with our own custom message stating how many records were inserted and hows many were updated (We have counters counting this information)
Under which particular trigger we should write the code to enhance this requirement?
i m using oracle 10g forms. in one form i m using post keyword when i use this function then records saved in temporary database but i want to remove one record from this form but it is allrady saved through post.

I have a form which has few textboxes, and few dropdown, and 3 links. Data is entered in few boxes, and then when a link is clicked, it goes to another page, but i want to pass the text in the text boxes, and the selected value from the dropdown also, to be passed as parameters to this link... But since these values are not yet saved, its not getting passed.. like it is something like this in the address bar add_new_event?&event_ id= &event_ name= & event_dt=

View 8 Replies View Relatedmy report is based on two tables.master and detail. i am using GROUP ABOVE style.displaying master tables columns up and detail table columns down.
my problem is ...i want 3 columns from master table (i.e)RECEIVER ID,RECEIVER NAME and RECEIVE DATE to be printed at the bottom of the page.
and also i want only 4 records from detail table to be printed on each page.
I have created a simple master/detail form which is in easy navigation for user. The form have master/detail block with tabular style showing 5 records, When user click on master record the detail will show the opposite as master record point.

I created a master-detail form using wizard in oracle apex 4.2 Now I want to attach an LOV to one of the items of detail form, which is visible on the same window as of master form. To do so, I need to first find the item in detail page, details of which are not available in page definitions. I can see all the items of master form but none for detail form in "Page Rendering" section.

Control block,
Header Block,
Detail Block.
First i have entered a record in the control block.
Then i navigate to header block,entered the first record for Header Block.
Then i navigate to Detail block,entered the first record for detail Block.
then i again navigate to Header Block..
Now the Problem comes....As i am Trying to enter second record for header block,the pop up comes as "Do you want to save the changes".
Condition 1:i dont want that message to appear for every header record i enter.
Condition 2:For every header record i enter,Corresponding detail record would have been entered.i want that detail records to be retained if i am clicking that header record as i have already created relationship for both header block and detail block.
1-i have exported a database 9i with character set WE8MSWIN1252 which is her original character set;
2- i have created a new database 10G R2 with character set AL32UTF8;
3- i have imported the .dmp file to this new database with imp.exe 9i version configured with WE8MSWIN1252 character set;
-The problem is:
* when i use sqlplus, arabic data displays correctly but, in forms 10G, arabic data displays lick this ?E?? EC???IEC...... HOW CAN I CONFIGURE FORMS TO DISPLAY CORRECTLY ARABIC DATA?
In my explorer/menu form there is a image item, I want to display company logo in this image item therefore I am using read_ image_ file ('c:application LOGO.jpg','JPG','IMAGE53') in WHEN_NEW_FORM_INSTANCE trigger but image isn't showing.

i had made a simple push button and in its properties i had made the following changes

the file save.GIF is saved under c:temp directory.
i had tried all the changes in registry.dat,orion file through the doc 203846.1 from metalink. Give me sample code step to step for showing a
push button with icon during run time. Also I tried the steps mentioned in the pdf document of

But it did not solve my problem. My icon file name is save.GIF , I wanted to know whether save.GIF file name convention is valid or not. Give the path from where I can get the icons used for web.
