Nov 24, 2010download / upload data from / to database through oracle forms 6i which is deployed in oracle apps 11i.I am using DDE/OLE2 but it is downloading if form is stand alone but when i post this form in my UNIX server, it is not downloading.
Oracle apps is in UNIX and i want excel to be in client (windows).what procedure to be used.

Forms :: Webutil EXCEL Download CLIENT_OLE2 Stops When Create Object
May 22, 2010When Running forms on local machine I successfully download data to excel. But when I place this to server (unix), the forms stops in this line: application := Client_OLE2.create_obj('Excel.Application');
I think I have no problem with webutil setup or signing it including the jacob because another form is running on server with webutil functions loading and downloading images (pdf).
The problem is why when it comes to excel I have this issue. When I run the form and the code mentioned above is encountered, the program stops. What I have on java console are:

I need it to be BFILE since I will be only using XE which means I have limited data storage and unfortunately the system will allow users to upload and download files of different formats (.exe,.bat ) etc. which can be as big as 10MB. Dec 12, 2011I am using OLE2 to update an excel spreadsheet from Oracle Forms 6i. If the excel spreadsheet is already open, the code runs through fine, and even asks if you want to replace the file when running the lines: OLE2.INVOKE(worksheet, 'Save');
OLE2.INVOKE(workbook, 'Save');
However, the file never gets updated. There is no error that appears. I would like to have the program check if the file is open before running the program;

Header row and total row should be in bold.I have created 3 individual excels thru toad and moved them to single excel and renamed the sheets.
